First off, let me say I have never been compelled to take the time out of my life to write a review on any restaurant before. I also do not like to speak poorly of others. However, this place has offended me on every single level and I feel it is my duty to warn others. About a month ago I purchased a Living Social deal to El Burrito Cubano for 8 burritos. What an absolute mistake. Basically set myself up for 8 terrible experiences. The staff are hands down the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in the service industry, they scoop every topping onto your burrito like it’s coming out of their personal stash and when the lady only put ½ of a scoop of salsa on my burrito I asked for a little more…she replied “that will be 50 cents extra”. The only time you will smile at El Burrito Cubano is when you see the empty tip jar by the cash register. If the meat is over cooked, topping portions are tiny, prices are high and the staff treats you terribly, why in the world would anyone tip a single cent. If your thinking you would like a burrito for supper, please, learn from my mistake. Do yourself a favor and go to Chipotle or Qdoba. It will save you time, money, stress and in the end, you will have a much better meal.

Im a believer in supporting local business and community. However, Chipotle is looking better and better to me. With each visit to El Burrito Cubano, it seems that theres less and less chicken, cheese, and sour cream added. Essentially I end up with a burrito full of rice and corn. Instead of looking forward to the experience, I now visit only when Im too strapped for time to go anyplace else.

Great local place. Delicious sandwiches and burritos. Highly recommend the burrito with tilapia with green curry sauce and the cuban pork sandwich. Theres no indoor seating, so plan to eat your food outside in the booths on the street or anywhere else (North Regional park is near by). And since its so close to the interstate, its even convenient for people who dont live in the neighborhood.

Small little place with patio seating only. The ingredients were fresh, prices cheap, and service was great. I would recommend this place over Chipotle or any other "Mexican" restaurant. The burrito was HEAVY and the biggest I had seen. I was hungry but had a very hard time finishing it. Go there for the burritos, cubanos, chips and guac. Choose anything and you wont regret it.

Horrible service. Im sure there some some chicken in my chimichanga but Im not sure. And no sauce on it? Ugh. My son took out his pork it tasted so nasty. They refused to make quesidillas for my other kids even though its on the menu. Ill stick to a few local restaurants in NE Minneapolis. Will not return. Go to El Taco Taqueria in NE. Much better service and food.

Awesome! Great service! Excellent food! The only place in town that has a habanero hot sauce worthy of the name. Way better than any fast food burrito chain. This is the place to go for quick, latino-style, and if you like spicy (and I mean spicy) burritos. They also serve excellent Cuban sandwiches and salads.

I showed up with some Groupons and got the cold shoulder. They refused to accept them under the terms clearly stated in the fine print, and were kind of rude about the whole thing. I would suggest not offering a Groupon if you dont want Groupon business. Food looked like it had potential to be delicious...

I wasnt sure what to expect, but the Burrito Cubano was pretty darn good. Large size burrito, a la Chipotle, and the flavor was great. We also tried the Cuban Eggroll and Id recommend that as well. FYI there is a sit down area (right entrance) and a take out entrance (left side). Well definitely go back.

The most horrible experience, Ive had at a restaurant in a while, the service or servants were so disrespectful, needless to say I will never support such an establishment ever again, I dont owe you anything, but you at least owe me satisfactory service, maybe if I was White.

This place has amazing burritos and sandwiches. The service was great but you order and pick it up and go. It is a small shady looking place and a little expensive at 6-8 dollars per person but take you and a loved one(s) out on a special day and theyll thank you.

I didnt like it that much but I had two friends with me who said they enjoyed it. I had two chicken tacos they had a pork taco and the other a pork burrito. The inside was very hot but the customer service was great very kind and friendly.

Great food, people are nice but reserved (like many small cafes). The place is what it is, a nice neighborhood corner cafe to get quick, good food at a reasonable price. To all the Haters, (go back to Eden Prairie. Edina or where ever).

Hands down, the best burrito in all of Minneapolis. I challenge anyone to find a better burrito place than this. After eating this type of burrito, chipotle is simply a corporate fantasy of chemical ingredients, and false promises.

Great sandwiches and quesadilas. Service is fast, they are not very chatty unless you engage them. I have not had a bad meal yet though and it is a great addition to the neighborhood. We need more good quality food on the Northside.

Stopped in there tonight and I loved the cuban sandwich and the burrito I got was huge. Tender and the line cook were very pleasant and we had a good time whole waiting for my food. I give it a 5* rating for my experience.

Very friendly staff! Was bummed that they were out of the egg rolls but the food was good! I had a Cuban sandwich and my husband had a burrito. He wished that there was more flavor but the Cuban sandwich was super tasty!

I live near this place and it is phenomenal. If you love Chipotle, then you will love this place 2× as much. I literally havent ate a Chipotle burrito in 5+ years because the burritos here are better than Chipotles.
