Oh. My. God. I rarely fall in love with a restaurant, but The Pub, omg! I frequent Ghirardelli Square semi-often because our wine club #wattlecreek is upstairs. We now have a newborn baby, and had to use the elevator to goto Beach Street. I noticed a sign that said The Pub and had BBQ. I immediately asked the wife if we should have Valentines dinner there. I dont know what to say, besides they need to advertise somehow in the upper levels. The food was that damn good. When I come back, I will definitely stop there. I pride myself on tasting anything meat related, I was just blown away. I think our servers name was Ashley, but I could be wrong. They were very accommodating with our large stroller. I cant say enough about the staff here. Food was out of this world great, staff was above and beyond friendly, and the prices may be pricey, but you know what? It the Wharf. All in all, I would come back again, and again, and again...

I would give a zero stars if it were possible, simply because I wasnt given the opportunity to try the food or drinks. We, a party of 5, arrived on Wednesday evening and put our names in for a table for dinner. The 30 minute quoted wait did not bother us. We asked if we could wait in the bar and the attendant affirmed. we huddeled around a small bar table and, as there did not appear to be a bar waiter, went to the bar to order. As we were ordering, another employee approached the table to advise us that we couldnt be at a bar table if we wanted to keep our name in for a dining table. this other employee was fairly rude and uninterested in our desire to try both the bar and the restaurant. As there was no other place to stand in the bar and as we could not take our drinks outside, we cancelled our bar order, cancelled our reservation and found another restaurant. I will not return and recommend others to avoid this place.

After living in the Beach for the last 5 years, and regularly frequenting new bars, everything starts looking the same. That was my first initial impression of Benjamin Cooper. No prominent sign- marketing themselves as a hip, underground or in their case, upper ground) speakeasy. But I would take this place over sleazy Ruby Sky anyway!! A bit small, we had to opt to stand by the ledge as we waited for empty seats. Waitress was friendly. Only got drinks but they were pretty decent and Im basically giving this place 4 stars because they came out in such fun presentations! My cup was more like a soup bowl, and my friend had a refill flask in addition to his small drink. Would return if I was in the area and wanted some cocktails.

My history: I have been to Salt Lick and County Line in Austin, TX ( Best BBQ). The Brisket here is pretty good, nice and not chewy, great texture. The Potato salad has good taste, but a bit too wet IMHO. The Pulled pork sliders, are really good, good buns too. The Corn bread, yummy! Now to the Tater Tots... OMG!!! On point, and thats a true story! The bad and sad side to my review is the ribs. Dry, dry, dry. Not enough sauce to help these bad boys. Seemed like they were re-heated in an oven with zero moisture. All-in-all, still a good place for BBQ. I prefer this place to Daves. And they have Guinness and Stella on tap!

We arrived at this pub late on our first night in SF. We were tired and hungry. Our server was great. She made suggestions for food and beers as we were so tired we could barely pick. She didnt rush us or pressure us so dining experience was relaxed. We ordered the mac n cheese and chili, sliders, pulled pork, and a kids meal. Everything was delicious and I loved the atmosphere of the place too. We would definitely go back again.

I had the truffle Mac and cheese which lifted the normally rather heavy dish to something that was exciting and interesting and that was very enjoyable. The staff were absolutely fantastic and their profound knowledge of the menu was admirable. I will definitely be returning soon; great atmosphere, attentive, charismatic and knowledgable staff and food that was to die for. What more could you want?

This place has very mixed reviews. I think that with bbq you like a certain style. My husband and I have been twice and we really enjoy it. He loves the ribs, says theyre the best that he has ever had. I am not a giant bbq fan but I thoroughly enjoyed the brisket. Love that theyre in San Marco and theyre outside seating is really cool and family friendly.

The Pub was a great place to stop for some comfort food in Ghiradelli Square. The portions were huge. My husband and I should have taken the waiters advice and shared 1 appetizer and 1 entree. We tried the jalapeno poppers, chili mac and cheese and brisket. All were delicious, but very filling. Lots of local craft beers on tap. Reasonably priced.

Mark, the most handsome bartender in the world (with some kickass tattoos), was just lovely tonight. He made great drinks and really set the mood for my first time in The Pub. Mac and cheese and fish tacos were absolutely delicious. I bet Mark made them. Would recommend to anyone, only if Mark is working. Gosh hes so handsome.

This place was great. Only had beers and some beer cocktails which were both awesome after dinner at Antico Pizza (we were stuffed). The hostess and our server were super sweet girls with zero of that infamous attitude. Will definitely go back and try the downstairs area with the games. Beautiful wooded decor and cool vibes.

Decent bar food. What I liked about this place was that in the complex they had parking. With purchase you could get a validation which made for the 5 dollar parking for 2 hours worth the beer and fried i ordered. Tip Park here, have a snack, you can sit out side and look out to the bay, then walk down to fishermans wharf.

Very good bbq in San Francisco with amaziuviews from the restaurant ! Great sauces and cornbread. The brisket was super tender and very good flavor! Pulled pork was great and would be solid on a sandwich. Also had the ribs and Mac n cheese and we will definitely come back! Great bartender with good drinks.

Beer: Omega Witt and Brooklyn Brewery Monster Barley Wine. Lets just say that while not the most intuitive pairing, it worked for me. Note to future barley wine drinkers - this is what you drink if you want to get drunk on "beer". Awesome floral scent to boot! At $ a pop, you really cannot go wrong.
