If you are looking for an overpriced place with surly service supported by managers who could care less, then this is the place for you. We went in for a drink with a friend, waited 20 minutes and had to make two trips to the bar to get our drinks. The bartender was too busy chatting with some ladies he was interested in and the waitress was no where to be found. Poor and slow service. But then when you get your bill with the automatic 20% gratuity, that will really complete your experience....but not quite yet. If you talk to the manager he will not apologize for poor service, will look at you like he is trying to scrape you off the bottom of his shoe and tell you how no one ever has a problem.... Long story short.....there are plenty of great places in Seattle to meet up with friends. They are all around. If you are staying here as a guest, dont bother going in here, they are lots of better options with much nicer staff. Good luck!

I expected this place to be a nice place because my girlfriend made the reservations and it was close to the paramount. They seated us and took for ever to take our order. I asked for no vegetables on my burger and it came with all the vegetables, and the burger itself wasnt very mild in taste. My Girlfriend asked for her prons to be all the way cooked and they were not. The waiter knocked over an ice-tea all over my buddy and then charged us for it, At least they could of comped a drink that they put in his lap. If i would of know Ruth Chris stake house was about 200ft away i would of went their for better service and food quality. I would not recommend Urbane Restaurant and Bar to anyone.

Walked in and was instantly hit with the smell of bleach, at which point we should have just left but instead asked to be re seated. Over the course of our brunch we were served by 5 different people, one of which ask us to clarify his confusion. My chair was coming loose and felt like it could give way at any moment. The music seemed to be a teeny club soundtrack turned to low, just loud enough drive you nuts. This is not cocktail hour, this is Sunday brunch. There were about 8 tables occupied, yet one server ask towards the end of our meal, "sorry we got a little slammed, did you get everything ok?" In light of all this I dont think I need to mention the food. You get the idea.

4 of us going for dinner. Service was chaotic & slow. We ordered appetizers & drinks and our entrees all at the same time. Drinks were slow arriving and the vodka martini was just vodka Yuukkkk. The poutine appetizer was horrible. Hardly any gravy on the run-of-the-mill fries and the cheese looked and tasted like Kraft cheese slices were used - obviously "chef" has not had poutine outside of Urbane. Our waitress finally came around to tell us they were a little backed up in the kitchen. My prime rib was a disgrace to downtown eating - tough & chewy and very over done. Im really only angry about one thing - that I didnt send the whole thing back.

The worst. I went to Urbane for dinner on New Years Eve last year, and it was a pretty pathetic experience on multiple levels. Service was terrible (our waitor was incredibly awkward, forgot several of our orders, and a manager had to step in to assist); we waited about 40 minutes for our entrees (and the restaurant was not remotely crowded); my squash ravioli was lukewarm at best, and my friends steak entree was more like an appetizer portion. It seemed like Urbane is riding solely on ambiance (the decor was nice, Ill give them that). Not a restaurant I would ever return to.

I LOVE Urbane. Its been a few weeks since my last brunch there and its still fresh in my memory because it was THAT good! The food choices for brunch are plentiful and they are deliciously made using local ingredients. Everything from the yogurt parfait to the french toast with (an awesome) coffee syrup, to mac n cheese that will make your mouth water. I will be coming here for brunch again I can assure you! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was sophisticated yet welcoming. If you are downtown, hungry, and want high-quality delicious food. Head here!!!

Had french toast and coffee, it was tasty (ok but not great) and the service was quick. However I did not feel comfortable here, the server brought the check while I was starting to drink the coffee, which felt like they were trying to make me leave, and the place wasnt even full. I wanted to go there to read and relax but ended up staying less than an hour because it was not comfortable. Im sure its fine for others who just want to grab a quick bite, but I will not be going again.

This place is a hidden gem. Because its inside of a hotel this place does not get the attention it deserves. Still have yet to try the dinner, but this may very well be the best brunch Ive had in Seattle. A super innovative, upcoming Seattle chef that makes everything in-house. From the ingredients, to the service, and the reasonable prices, you are certain to have an enjoyable experience. Strongly recommend the bacon-hazelnut-banana pancakes...

I went on a weekday at 1pm. Their lunch menu is soup, salads and sandwiches...and a burger. I was disappointed in the selection. The grilled cheese was good...but then again I got a grilled cheese in the cafeteria of a local airplane manufacturer the other day and that was good, too. Server was spot on (but I was the only customer for half my stay). It did not impress me enough to add to my "go there for dinner" list.

Have been here a few times for happy hour and had a great time. The food is quite good and has changed some with the seasons/trends, which I appreciate. Their service is very good and the prices are pretty reasonable for the quality of the food. I would love to come in for lunch some time because I have heard some very good things about it.

Really great lunch option for Downtown Seattle. Their menu covers a nice spectrum of options (from vegetarian to Cheeseburgers with Beechers cheese) for a quick, or long, lunch. Only 3 stars because they change their menu so often. Both a pro and con, but when looking for consistency among lunch stops this can be a bit frustrating.

Ordered soup, grilled cheese sandwich and kale salad. After 30 minutes the salad came, in 5 more the soup came, and the sandwich never showed up at all. Pretty disappointing really... Salad was pretty blah, fried chick peas were soggy. The staff were moving pretty slow and there were very few patrons - guess that was the tip off!

Out of this world breakfast with locally sourced ingredients. I had the mushroom kale scramble, mom had the bacon and egg scramble, dad the biscuits and gravy. Eggs were perfect and a unique blend of flavors made simple dishes extra special. Janelle, our server, especially classy.

Happy hour is a great way to try a little of everything the menu has to offer. Cocktails and the wine are great. Love the terrine! Hip and stylish, and for the bathroom snobs (I know youre out there), the bathrooms are clean, not located in the lobby of a hotel, and are modern.
