After waiting 18 minutes for two cheeseburgers and one order of french fries, I went up to the window and asked the clerk for my money back. The owner appeared from the kitchen and was furious and extremely aggressive. he began asking where I was from and saying that this was "his place". I was polite and again asked for my money returned. He took his time pulling the money out of the register and was talking trash the whole time. He then stuck his hand out the window and said "here!". I took the money and walked away, when I got in the car I realized he stiffed me for 10 bucks. I didnt go back and complain about it because the owner was being so physically aggressive. All of this happened in front of several other costumers, one elderly couple got up and left with their ice creams because he was making such a scene. I had my son in the car and I seriously thought this guy was going to attack me. I think there might have been a recent ownership change, so if you read other reviews, check the date; and if you have eaten here before, think again. Do Not Complain!!!

My girlfriend and I love this place, and its now a regular stop for us either to or from the Outer Banks. We even try to time our departure to hit the Tasty Treat right around lunch. Dont be fooled by the unexplainable, overzealous hype of the VA Diner (just down the road) - this place is heads above. For some reason they dont have a website, nor does the management seem to care to post the hours online. However, for the record, as of June 2016 the hours posted on the building are - 7 days/wk, 11am - 11pm. We always get the burgers, fries, and ice cream. Bad for the diet, but oh so delicious! You wont find anything fancy about this place, but its a good, honest, all-American burger joint. HIGHLY recommended.

Curly fries are awesome and their twisters are really good too. Small twister is equivalent to probably a medium blizzard. I imagine their food is pretty good too, will be stopping back to try it for sure.
