NOT good for take out. They need to seriously rethink their take-out process... The size of their take-out boxes, especially for the lunch time crowd, are not acceptable to people, who, when ordering take-out, need to have it easy to manage at work where they eat right out of the box. Salads are WAY over packed in their little boxes that they explode when you open them (...dont even think about mixing dressing) and hot sandwiches are packed to go in PLASTIC boxes, not paper, causing them to be soggy by the time you get them to work. Generally the food was okay, we had salads (very fresh, very tasty), sandwich (pretty good) and garlic cheese bread (skip it). Wont risk getting take out again, but I think the charm of the place lies in the warm decor which you can only enjoy by dining in anyway.

Awful food. If youre going to highlight seafood on your menu, need to make sure its fresh - or at least not BAD. Garlic bread stale, tasted like mold smells. Calamari appetizer looked like it was from low-end frozen foods bag, tasted worse. Lobster pizza had distinctly old seafood taste. Had a couple bites of each, lost appetite, left the rest on the table. Only acceptable item was kids plain cheese pizza. Worst $40 investment in a while, felt like my trust was violated. Too bad, remember this place being good years ago. Dont know if has changed hands, trying to save money w/ low quality ingredients, or just dont care. But never again.

I went there to meet up with some people over lunch. The weather was good, so we all sat outside. There were quite a few of us and the server did her best to accommodate everyone. I looked at the specials because I did not want to spend just over $10 for a lunch. I think I picked a winner. I selected the Thai Pasta. It was $5.99. It came with a caesar salad. I think it comes with garlic bread (the waitress forgot because of the number of people - but I did not want the bread - so it was okay). The pasta was excellent. It was flavorful and the chicken was tender and fresh. The portion was generous.

The best garlic bread their is. THE BEST! And they are free. Each time I visit I have maybe 4-5 baskets worth. A lot of carbs but each bite melts in your mouth. They are just addicting. But not only is their bread here good but their pasta and pizza selections as well. Plus their pizzas are good traditional and with crazier topping selections like shrimp and lobster. Now its not a grab and go pizza joint. Its a family sit down area. So grab a seat and enjoy your meal because you will.

We were visiting from Colorado and our hotel recommended Leucadia. All I can say is WOW. The pizza was incredible! Hot, fresh, heavy on the toppings & perfect crust! Great service, fantastic prices! We have been back in CO for about 5 months now and Leucadia comes up in conversation about once a week! Love this place!

My search for authentic, real, fresh, and quality pizza has pretty much come to an end. I can honestly say that the pizza i had here has surpassed many other places in SD. The dough is perfect, and they know how to get the sauce to cheese ratio down right, very happy to find this place, must try it.

The food was delicious! Plenty of warm garlic bread to keep us munching. The waiter even allowed us to taste the pasta sauce before we ordered - yummy. More food than we could eat - very generous portions and prompt, joyful service. We will come back again and again!

I live behind leucadia pizzeria in la Jolla been a loyal customer for 6+ yrs and tonight was the night called 20 mins before they closed and the lady in the phone says that they are close. I asked for a manager and she hang up the phone. Never buying there again.

Its by far the BEST in San Diego County. WHY? There must be thousands of permutations of how you want your pizza with a myriad of sauces available, too! But the best is the SERVICE. Great cast of characters from door to leaving! Your always treated well!

Good local places to eat regularly are disappearing. Fortunately, not this one! Im a local who comes here often. They have great pasta and salads, and occasional treats like key lime cheesecake. Not fancy nor pretentious, just livably good over and over.

Even though its in the name I havent really had the pizza enough to comment on it - Im sure its fine. I do know they have pretty great calzones, meatball subs, and pasta dishes. Weve hosted large events here before as well and they did a great job.

Service was outstanding.. Food was excellent. Only thing that was disturbing was we had a party of 25 & we were told to be out within an hour. Didnt like that & wouldnt go back. Never knew you had a time limit to eat food.

If you need a quiet spot to get a large group of people together, say, for a volunteer board meeting, the patio here is a decent choice. Food is tasty, wifi is available.
