When a Medianoche is not a Medianoche... I was excited to see medianoche sandwich on the menu on my 1st visit to this place everyone said I had to check out. It was a long drive home but I was full of anticipation... only to be completely disappointed when I unwrapped the sandwich. The ham was OK., the pernil (an oven roasted, seasoned fresh ham) component was some sort of cold-cut sliced fascimile, not the actual chunks of pernil. Worse yet, the bread was an ordinary hoagie type roll: it should be made with a sweet, egg dough bread (yellow in color, kind of like Challah bread). The saltiness of the meat cuts, mustard and pickles play against the breads sweetness, and this is what makes the sandwich so special: what I got was a salt overload on common bread. Call it a "bocadillo" perhaps, but NOT a Medianoche. I was extremely disappointed, especially since the bread is available in Florida. Too bad, since the people where nice and the service fast even during the lunch hour rush, but I will not likely be back to try their other offerings: its a bit out of my way and I can get credible Cuban food elsewhere.

I will never go back to this market. My mom went there to purchase two of the egg, bacon, and cheese sandwiches on the cuban bread.. Now this is not the first time weve gotten these sandwiches so we know how they are suppose to be. Well, this time as soon as we received them I noticed a few green plant like stems stuck under the cuban bread. They were lodged into the surface of the bread. When my mom went in to return the item, the cook behind the counter took the sandwich to the back and some woman appeared saying, "theres nothing we can do. .. thats how they come." She was rude and refused to take the sandwich back and at least make another one. It was as if she was so desperate not to lose out on the product. They were unsympathetic and unwilling to satisfy a LOYAL customer. As stated before, We will never be going back..

What a great find! Ive lived in South Tampa for 15 and never went in to the Interbay Meat Market until we moved to the eastern side of S. Tampa from the Westshore side. Its become my new favorite place to grab a tasty Cuban breakfast sandwich, a fresh-made sandwich for lunch or some picadillo and yellow rice for dinner. Theres a great selection of sodas, energy drinks, craft beers and wine. They have a great meat counter and locally grown fresh produce. The grocery area is well-stocked with all the basics I need without having to fight the crowds at Publix. The best thing about the Interbay Meat Market, though, is the staff. There are always plenty of employees on hand and everyone Ive interacted with has been helpful and very friendly.

Whats not to like? Clean, well lit, super friendly employees, great meats for a great price, ethnic deli foods at a fair price and on and on...but, all within walking distance or a short bike ride. I love these guys. They do the small things that keep you coming back, but most of all they make you feel like an old friend dropping by for a visit. I knew this place long before they took it over when it was Abe Hiemans Meat Market. he was an old style butcher. When he left that part was forever lost. But, what was gained is all the above. Now if hey could just get a butcher and old style wooden butcher block where he could be seen by the customers as he worked...

I love coming to the store theyre like family to me my kids play football down the street from them and we always come there to get our drinks and food while sitting at the football field my son have been playing football since he was five Ive been coming to the store football that Lowes has my son was about 5 he is now 16 I think they have some wonderful food special the salad bar the dress it is very delicious and I love their steak and cheese so much I think this place is clean healthy the people in there are very respectable and once they get to know you they treat you as if your family

I use their catering service about twice per month for my apartment community Bowery Bayside town hall meetings. I have ordered the ribs, chicken, and a Cuban dish. My residents love love love to food and its always way more than we need. The food is amazing, fresh, and feeds a lot of people. The pricing is not bad for what you get and I strongly recommend them. I also ordered 16 filet steaks for families Christmas dinner. The steaks were tender and delicious!!! The service is always friendly and family owned. LOVE THIS PLACE!

We LOVE the Interbay Market, or as we call it, The Green Market. My family visits the store multiple times a week for many different things. Im convinced that they have the BEST cuban or cheeseburger in Tampa. We call ahead and swing by for a quick pick up. We also shop there when we dont want to make a trip into publix to buy fruits, veggies, wine, etc. Also, their meat selection, quality and prices is top notch. Very fresh and great quality. The people who work there are great too!

A mixture of a Quiznos, grocery store, and 7-11, this place has every one of your last-minute shopping needs. The produce is fresh, the sandwiches are tasty (try the chorizo breakfast burrito), and the beer prices are all right (they cant really compete with the Class Six, but they are close enough to an off-post booze store that it wouldnt really matter). Swing on by, and grab lunch while you are here.

Only been here twice. T bone steaks were very good nice and tender. Prices are better than large chain grocery store and they carry produce pretty much everything any grocery store has. Staff is very friendly and it appears to be a family business. Ill now be doing my grocery shopping here. Your in and out in a snap.

We order lunch from here all the time. Today was the first time that I tried the cheeseburger. I am STILL talking about it. It was so good. All of their food is great and very fairly priced. I may go back tomorrow for another cheeseburger.

Hidden Gem! Everyone was super friendly when I went in. I asked for a recommendation and was recommended the ropa Vieja. My meal was delicious enough for two lunches and under $10. There was too much to choose from. I will be back.

Best grab and go lunch ever! The perfect picnic pick up. We always get lunch and then head to Ballast Point Park to eat! The Gyros, Cubans and other deli sandwiches are awesome. My hubby loves their plate lunches too!

What a great place to experience local food. From the huge variety of locally made sauces to the huge variety of pressed sandwiches, this place is a great place to eat and get a feel for Cuban/Tampa cuisine.
