Great atmosphere but disappointing food service when reservations made well in advance for a group luncheon package with pre-ordered entree choices. No excuses to run out of food, not having dessert choices as advertised, or to serve cold food and then charge extra for hot coffee or tea. Should have compensated patrons in someway. Patrons were charged for hot drinks, but not cold drinks without telling them and bills were rounded up. Service extremely slow. Some patrons had to sit alone instead of with a group. They didnt honor any free meals for the coach driver or escort. Check not prepared in advance and available in a timely fashion. Would not recommend them to other coach groups visiting Steam into History.

Went there a few years ago with a bunch of my friends of different ethnicities. We are all servers. We got the worst service Ive still ever had in my life. An old guy, who said he was the bar manager, ignored us for most of the meal. Even when he was at the empty table beside us while cleaning (we were on of his only two tables in the entire empty restaurant), he was hard to get a hold of. I could say all the other things he did but it would take w while. The redeeming quality was the young girl who worked there & gave us a tour of the mill & some of the food was delicious. I hope they fired this guy by now. Either racist or hated young people, or a combination probably.

This Inn is highly recommended to anyone wishing to hike the entire Norther Central Rail Trail! Its conveniently located in the lovely little town of Glen Rock in an historic early 19th century mill. We love character in an establishment, and this place has plenty. The rooms are situated at strange angles because of its industrial past, which we loved! Everything was clean and in good working order. The food was great, and the bar was beautiful. There is also nice outdoor seating. Kudos to the proprietors for a fine job re-purposing this lovely historic mill!

Great food, bar and amazing atmosphere. I have been going there about 4 times a year. Hikers frequently stop in the bar and the old world charm there is perfect. How can you not appreciate the wooden beams and old brick...screams history. Music on weekends, but bar will get crowded. The food has always been amazing. You can dress up for the dining room or go in jeans to the bar. Good drinks, low key atmosphere. Must try the fish and chips in the bar. We look forward to making the trip there and they never let us down.

We finally got around to grabbing lunch here and everything was awesome. There was a $1 mimosa special going on and we put a dent in the dishware! The crab dip was creamy and flavorful. I had the Chesapeake burger and it really hit the spot. We had their homemade pumpkin cheesecake for dessert and that sealed the deal. We will definitely be back to try more of the menu. There is outdoor seating and a real historic feel on the inside.

I went for drinks with friends on the patio during a New Belgium tap takeover and the beers were great. However, there were a ton of bugs in the patio area and once it got dark, a very bright, disruptive light turned on and was pointed directly our table, forcing us to move. The service was also quite slow and our server often forgot items.

This place is sooo cute! Finished off a 26 mile ride on the trail with an amazing friendly staff, live music, craft beer and a perfectly prepared 16oz ribeye steak!! An overnight stay in the Inn in a clean modern suite is just what a tired body needs to recharge and relax. Jackpot!!!

When we checked in, everyone was very friendly. The location was great for us and we liked how well the upstairs was converted into the guest rooms. I was surprised how close the restroom area was to the bed, but it wasnt an issue at all.We had a nice night stay. Thank you!

Most upscale food in the area. Service is slow but thats what you get in rural area. Cream of Crab was DELICIOUS!!! Dont go for dinner Saturday night, they had a band in bar and was so loud couldnt have a conversation without yelling and we sat in dining room not bar.

My husband and I love to dine at the Mill. The food is always great (steaks are amazing) and the drinks are always perfect. I love sitting in the bar area to talk with old friends and meet new ones. The staff is always polite and welcoming. Cant wait to go back.

Really disappointed with the meal. Food was fair, nothing special. I could have made it at home with little effort. Salmon was dry, cream of crab was not so creamy. Will not go there again or recommend.

The only thing the inn has going for it is the fact that its one of the only forms of lodging for miles around. Right on the bike path. The restaurant is much nicer than the inn

First class food but the rooms, a little chintzy for such a great building. Rates are great, though.
