Review after 1st visit to a new place in town. Went mid afternoon on Sat, after trying during lunch time on weekday only to find the line too long to be able to get served in the time i had availble. Ordered the Brisket plate dinner. Excellent BBQ with good range of menu options including Ribs, pulled pork, Brisket, and several Sides (dont recall if they had chic,ken or not, but I focused in on the brisket, once i saw it, and didnt pay much attention to the rest of the menu after that. - the mini corn muffins are worth getting an extra side of them when you order a dinner plate (which comes with 2, that somehow disappered before i was half done with the plate ; ) requiring me to go back for an additional side order of them. Happy Happy Happy. The place is somwhat small, with about 8-10 booths and 4-6 4 top tables as i recall. Not anything fancy - but clean and nice, with Great Food!. And they have take out. which seems to be accounting for a sizable chunk of the orders i observed while there. Highly Recommend Wildwood to anyone with a taste for BBQ, ...or a place to take visiting friends from out of town who like BBQ when they visit.

Fantastic small BBQ with big southern heart. Best local BBQ Ive had since Smokey Pig closed. Homemade sauces, potato salad that is not too heavy, best baked beans Ive had in I dont know how long, and hush puppies to die for (they are savory, not sweetened). The sweet tea wont ruin your teeth, they have unsweetened as well, the meats are smoked to perfection, and did I mention the homemade sauces? And the baked beans? And the hush puppies? So yummy!! You can sit in or carry out, and they cater to large and small parties. A real winner for the local BBQ scene!

Saw this place was new this week so decided to sample a little BBQ. I only tried a couple of the varieties of the pork, and they were absolutely delicious. Apparently the owners of this place provided BBQ for some local events and it was so good people talked them into opening a restaurant. Its too bad I never knew about them before, but I will defiantly be adding this place as a regular take out option. Cant wait to try the chicken and beef BBQ too and also the specialty hot dogs look nice.

My husband and I went this past week, we do not recommend the pork ribs, unless you dont mind eating ham with BBQ sauce on it. The texture and the taste was like eating ham, they also were not that tender, like fall off the bone tender. The fries and the coleslaw were good. The staff were friendly, and the place was clean.

Love this place! Their staff is friendly, their food is delicious, and the desserts are huge for their price - plus, sooo tasty! My family and I go here 1-2 times per month. I recommend it to all my friends. You should try it out too!

Been here a few times. Generally pretty good. But the NC style BBQ was dry today. Sides seemed to be a little small also.
