I got a two-meat sampler (moist beef brisket and pulled pork), two sides (coleslaw and mac and cheese), and a spare rib. The meal came with cornbread. Overall, the meal was quite expensive, but the meat was very good. The Moist Beef Brisket was extremely flavorful and juicy, thanks to relatively high fat content. It didnt seemed like it was salted just right. I also got the Pulled Pork, which was flavorful, but it felt much more like a mild base for the sauces. While standing in line, they handed out slices of their Classic Sausage. The sausage was fantastic, tasting of black pepper with a brisk snap on the casing. The spare rib was very smoky with a great meat flavor. It was a kind of dry though. If I had to rank these meats, first place would go to the beef brisket, while second would go to the sausage, and the pulled pork in a distant third. They had 7 sauces available: Memphis Belle, Smoky Mountain, Texas Twang, KC Classic, Bay-B-Que, Tupelo Honey Heat, and Carolina Vinegar. (None of these were very spicy.) Tupelo Honey Heat is my favorite with a taste reminiscent of the hot flavors of Tabasco combined with a sweet and sour sauce. The Memphis Belle was very sour. Smoky Mountain is, as advertised, quite smoky, with a flavor like a regular BBQ sauce that isnt sweet. The Texas Twang is citrusy, which was quite pleasant. The KC Classic is peppery. The Bay-B-Que is tangy and sour. The Carolina Vinegar was very vinagery. The coleslaw was good. It was very light and slightly vinegary. The mac and cheese was very standard. The cornbread was good. It was moist and did not taste overly buttery. But towards the end it got dry.

A trip to Mission BBQ leaves a person with a happy belly and a sense of security. Fall off the bone goodness! My husband and I are both fans of Missions barbeque and the chicken. It is casual cafeteria style, but the line moves quickly and if there is a delay or special need, they will bring it to your table. The main sides are consistently good and there are rotating specialties. I think I figured out one of their secrets. They must roast their corn and potatoes in the same ovens with the meat. There is just a touch of the barbecue flavor. Divine! Portions are large enough to take home left overs, or you can take advantage of their carry out with a separate entrance at the Columbia location. The restaurant is completely accessible with wide aisles, tables and some bench seating. There is outdoor seating in good weather. The hallway to the bathrooms is narrow, as is the entry area, but the accessible stall is large enough for transfers. As others have said, their customer service is exemplary, second only to their dedication to military/police/fire/rescue causes. Like the collection of gear on the walls and insignia stapled in random areas, I salute them.

Everybody around loves Mission BBQ. Their food is always great and the atmosphere is lively. They put on the national anthem every day at noon so be prepared for that. They push their support of all service members hard (military, police, EMT, etc.) and those who show up in uniform will always receive great service and often some sort of freebie. They usually have staff walking around with samples of some of their fantastic food, and everything is affordable and fast. If you go during lunch on a week day the line is often outside the door, so I recommend either calling ahead and picking grabbing your food at the side door or showing up before 11:45/after 12:30 to avoid the rush.

I must share our repeated experience with Mark who is the manager at this location. It never fails that Mark makes a personal connection with every person sitting in the restaurant and offers impeccable customer service. Mark is friendly, professional, and clearly strives for an excellent dining experience for all. He is an incredible asset to this franchise and we hope he is recognized for going above and beyond every day. Additionally, if a leader is measured by the strength of those he leads- Mark is definitively the definition of a strong manager. His entire team follows his lead and makes this "relaxed" dining feel like something special.

Overall, it was a good experience. I liked the staff and the food came quickly. No one was very loud in the restaurant and sports on tv. However, its weird for a bbq place to cook their meat inside. Then the meat comes out plain without sauce. It might be part of their style but there isnt a choice when ordering. The sauces are at the table. The two times I did get food there I thought the meat was dry. First time through I though it was from carrying it home but it wasnt. The Mac and cheese is good and I liked the bake beans. My wife seems to enjoy the Cole slaw. They dont offer military discounts but do take donations to the uso, its whatever.

Best BBQ in Maryland! Hands Down. I have been to: Salt Lick near Austin, Arthur Bryants in KC, Dreamland in Huntsville, a few good places in the Carolinas and I must say that Mission has developed an excellent product unique to this state and everyone should try it. They have the equipment on site and a clear ethic demonstrated to deliver a great product with even better service. Mr. Mark makes the visit for many a special experience. The grill in my back yard stands idle. Thank You Mission BBQ!

Good food. Friendly people. I tend to get the ribs. I like the spare ribs better than the baby-back ribs, just because they seem to over-cook the baby-backs a bit too much for me. My wife has gotten the salmon and the smoked rib-eye stake. Im pretty sure Ill have one of those rib-eyes the next time Im in there. Good, reliable BBQ. It can get crowded, especially around lunch time, but the line goes pretty quickly. Im ~not~ a fan of their cornbread, but I do like the mac & cheese :-)

I had such a great experience today! I met Stacy (Store Manager) and Bill (Owner)! They are such wonderful people! I made sure to tell them both how much I have enjoyed their food this week while I have been on travel for work (3 meals in 3.5 days)! I am so happy I found a great place, with great people, serving great food. I told them both how much I wanted to see them out in San Diego, CA! Please open a store closer! If not, I will be back in town in 3 months for my Mission BBQ fix! :)

Foi uma experiência bem diferente. Todo o patriotismo que os americanos têm é representado lá. E a comida é boa -- apesar de não ter nada a ver com o churrasco que nós brasileiros estamos acostumados.

Excellent bar b q! I always get the brisket platter (lean) and soak it in Texas Twang. It doesnt need it, but that sauce is great. Glad to see an establishment that supports the military and public servants. My dad is both a 21 year retired AF vet and retired firefighter for the AF, so I need to bring him to your establishment one day soon. Again, thanks for supporting the military and public servants.

Great food, staff and atmosphere! Mission BBQ provides a variety of BBQs from around the US in a patriotic environment along with wonderful staff service. In this polarized world of political agendas, Mission has remembered the roots of patriotism and supports the Fire, Police, EMS and Military with a grace seldom seen in the business world. My highest recommendations across the board!
