The service is absolutely horrible. Today, my wife and I went during our lunch hour and there were four people identifiable as employees. We made our order and paid at the bar. We ordered a pulled pork sandwich and an outlaw potato then took a table and watched as all the orders ahead of us were called for pick-up - this took about 15 minutes. We then watched as a customer walked in, talked with two of the employees in a friendly manner (including an embrace) and he and his friend were served their food to their table (which Ive never seen before, you are called and have to pick up your own food) including two outlaw potatoes. We waited another 5 minutes (now totaling 25 minutes from the time we placed our order) and watched three employees standing in a cluster near where the food is picked up, all talking and laughing. We also noted the fourth employee was seated at the bar talking to a patron. With our lunch hour nearly over and having to leave to get to work on time, I approached the cash register with my receipt and a young man asked if he could help me. I explained Id been there waiting for about a half hour and needed to leave, so I would like a refund. He told me he couldnt give my money back and I noticed that the gaggle of employees had split up, with the same one who had served his friends splitting open a potato and starting to build a plate. I then explained that I had watched as friends of the employees had come in and been served immediately and I didnt appreciate it. I again asked for my money back and was told that they would not return my money but were getting my food ready. I again explained I had to leave, grabbed my coat and walked out - WITHOUT FOOD OR REFUND. On my way out, the friends who were served immediately apologized to me for the actions of the employees. In the parking lot as I was getting in my car, another patron who said he didnt blame me for my actions as he had seen the same thing. On the drive back to work, I called to speak with somebody who identified herself as "one of the managers" so that I could finally get a refund in the form of a useless gift card (she tried to give me a $25 gift card as a refund for a $17 meal - that makes no sense). Why useless? Because I was told to my face they would not refund my money while I was there, they only tried to make it right after I was gone, and I will never return - so this poorly run business effectively stole my money.

This is our first and last time we will come here. We had guests from out of town and decided to give this place a try because of people saying it was great food. We had a party of 7. We spent over 75 dollars on food. First, the tables were absolutely disgusting. They look like they have not been wiped down in a month. I understand it was a friday night, but it seemed there was plenty of staff on hand to clean the tables. When asked for a rag to wipe the tables they gave us wet packs. We waited about a half hour for our food, understandably we had a party of 7. My son and daughter received chicken fingers with mashed potatoes with gravy and applesauce. The chicken fingers were 2 small pieces ( my kids said it looked as though they smashed a chicken nugget to make them.) The mashed potatoes were VERY lumpy and they refused to eat them. My husband got the famous outlaw potato. The cheese was not melted, and there was a bunch of it. The bacon was not done, and the potato itself was cold. I got the cowboy potato and it was cold, again the cheese would not melt and the bacon was just down right disgusting. My mother got the wrangler. She said the chicken was not bad, but the mashed potatos were lumpy and cold. My uncle from out of town got cattle drive and he said the pulled pork and chicken was very dry. My Aunt from out of town got the wrangler and her pulled pork looked as though it was made of straw, and was very very dry. We were so disappointed. I took my kids to mcdonalds afterwords because they both said they were starving, and upon arriving home everyone complained of a stomach ache and did not feel well. We spent a lot of money to get really really crappy food with a stomach ache to boot. So disappointed and will never ever return.

Walked in to employees hanging out with friends. Only one employee was working that I can see while 3-4 other employees all had there " lunch" break at the same time.(3:50pm). I made my order and waited 25 mins for my food. When I got my food the brisket was fatty and not well cooked, and my pulled pork sandwich was soggy and disgusting. This place really has went down hill. There milkshake also are the worst I have EVER had in my life. People try and say "best Bbq in Rochester"... No way! Dinosaur, sticky lips, and/or famous Daves blows this place out of the water. I am very disappointed in my experience and will tell everyone I incounter about it. Last time I bother giving them my money. How are you still in business? There silver wear and plates have old residue on them and they dont even have lemons for lemon water they have powder lemon packets .... Wtf goes on people! What kind of place serves fish fryer but dont have lemons. Its a joke DONT BOTHER GOING THERE AND WASTING $$$

Just got back from descending upon The Texas BBQ Joint in Henrietta, like a plaque of locusts. What a meal! We rolled up on them 20 grown men deep and none of us were disappointed. I chalked up being accidentally overcharged to the chaos created when a bunch of hungry guys go out to eat and was content to consider it gratuity. To my amazement, the manager come to me to give me a refund. The Manager came to me........as i said, I was content in considering this gratuity. This place has great food, great service, great prices and integrity! If your looking for great BBQ, check these guys out, you wont be disappointed!

Just had lunch there today - amazing!!! Soooo good! Such a good price - where else can you get a HUGE soda, complimentary soup (had the bean, absolutely fantastic), a side and a HUGE sandwich! I had the beef brisket with the coleslaw - absolutely delish! I defy anyone anywhere to get that great of a lunch for that cheap! We were new to the restaurante and didnt know we were supposed to order at the bar, so we sat for a while not knowing why we werent being waited on - but a friendly person pointed us in the right direction and we truly enjoyed our meal!

I have driven past Taste of Texas for years, but stopped by for the first time last weekend. I ordered the beef brisket with a side of ribs. The meal comes with self-serve soups (which were pretty good, but I do wonder if the clam chowder is made of fresh components). The ribs were ok, the brisket was ok - both a little dry and not as smokey as I like. The sauces were also ok. The sides were excellent, the price pretty reasonable. I would stop by again if I was in the area, but the smell and tastes of Dinosaur stop it from being a destination cue place.
