This would be a 6 star review if I could rate it that high. Mission BBQ always has had amazing food from the numerous locations that I have visited throughout Maryland and Virginia. The food and the atmosphere is fantastic at each restaurant and the service is extremely friendly. Ive always been a fan of their pulled pork or the smoked turkey. Sides are amazing as well since I love the mac n cheese and the baked beans. The food at each site is very consistent and Ive never had a bad experience. The main reason I wanted to write this review was for their catering service that I used last month for my wedding. The price for 100 people was so much better than competing BBQ places and it also included 2 or 3 hours of on-site service with clean up. The level of service that Mission BBQ offered was amazing and they were great with communicating with us to meet our needs. There were a ton of options to choose from and the best was visiting the restaurant for a taste testing. I dont think Ive ever had that much BBQ in one sitting. Like I said, the price was amazing and the service was top notched. I have zero complaints and I would definitely call them up if I was throwing a party and wanted catered BBQ.

I came here for a meal & went home very satisfied. The food was excellent( brisket sandwich, mac & cheese, & brisket & beans), the service was excellent, the gentleman who plated my order was very helpful & went above & beyond to make sure I was happy & when I came back a few minutes later to order some takeout for my wife the service got even better. After I left the store I poked my head in & asked who the guy was at the end plating the food & I was told that his name is icky. I think its a nickname but it doesnt matter, he was very helpful, polite & professional, I will be back. Oh & the establishment is also clean, my wife worked in the restaurant industry years ago & showed me somethings to lookout for as far as cleanliness goes. This store here in Stafford VA is awesome.

got the platter with 3 items, brisket, sausage w/jalapeno and pulled pork. the brisket was so bland, so dry and flavorless that it tasted like pot roast. there was barely a spec of jalapeno in the sausage but the pulled pork was good. sauces were not much better. yes, there was a flavor variety but the flavor was so mild and basically sugar based. sides were good. lemonaide was good but i like mine a little more tart, again sugar based. atmosphere was loud yet comfortable. over all, the bbq was not good. sooo disappointed. sorry to say but it was a huge disappointment. dont waste your money.

These folks are the best!!! Not only do they really know how to cook BBQ, but they are refreshingly HONEST!!! My husband accidently left his wallet...with our whole life in it...and their staff found it immediately after we had left and locked it in the safe until we returned frantically looking for it!! Not a dollar or credit card was missing! In todays world, what more can you ask for but excellent food and HONESTY! Good ambiance, clean dining area, excellent choices in BBQ sauce and my turkey was so sweet, moist and yummy! GOOOOOO Mission BBQ!!!!

This place is all American they even stop for the national anthem for the flag. As well the food is out of this world and I come from Texas so yes BBQ all the way they can hands down make it the best experience and food experience that you can have and there sweet tea is striat down southern goodness for any one hasnt try this please do so its well worth every dollar and well this place got great items for kids and well not little plates your kids will experience a true BBQ experience that will want them coming back for more.

Very tasty. I tried multiple meats and all were excellent. The decor was great. The people were super friendly. Seems a bit busy but good places are. On a completely side note. I had a baby who needed a diaper change. I have changed diapers in many places. Never once have I used a changing station and the disposable pads have been there. That is until I went here. I was genuinely surprised. The food was great and the changing table pads actually being present was consistent with their top notch food and service.

The brisket was awesome. They asked if I wanted dark or light, so I went with dark. There was about 5 or 6 slices, each about 1/2 inch thick with a nice black smokey layer on top. Super tender and juicy, just falling apart. Someone else reviewed the brisket as being bland. I did not have that experience at all. There was a ton of different BBQ Sauces, and they were all pretty good. My favorite was the Smokey Mountain. I would come back for the brisket in a heartbeat! Also, the staff was very nice and helpful.

This place is so awesome that I am taking the time to write this review while I eat my food here. The staff is SO friendly and welcoming! The food is AMAZING, way better than Shanes - Id take Mission BBQ over Shanes any day. The food is so fresh, not over seasoned. I especially love their slaw. It isnt drenched in mayo and has the perfect crispiness to the veggies; definitely fresh! The price is also pretty great considering how great the food tastes and how fresh it is. They have made a loyal patron of me.

Just moved to the area and had Mission BBQ for dinner on Thursday...and ate the left overs today for lunch. Wow - having just moved from the West who knows how to do BBQ, I can tell you Mission BBQ is on par with them. The meat was so tender and juicy and the sauce they have was amazing. The fries and Mac & Cheese are just as good as the meats. It was great for dinner on Thursday night and we just had the leftovers for lunch today (Sunday) and it tasted just as good. We will definitely be going back!!

Came in rate before they closed the other night having worked in food service people who always came in rate before I closed were always the vain of my existence but when I apologized the employee said I was welcome to stay as long as I want. Service was fast and all the employees immediately learned my name and even brought me a free brownie after I had my food. Plus the deal where they let you keep your cup for the next time is really nice. Will definitely continue to frequent this fine establishment.

This establishment gets better every time I go. I am working my way through their menu and have yet to be disappointed. Amazing food really fast at a high quality and an even greater staff. The employees are professional and extrememly courteous. They really make you want to go back. They are also extremely military friendly. The only bad thing about this place is trying to find a seat during peak times. There is a reason it is so crowded though, and they offer fast take out as well. Highly recommended.
