Today I went in to purchase a vegan meal. As I review several menus sprawled out on a table nearest indicated that the the curry chiken was $10. I make my order and as the cashier totals my bill, I notice that she charges me $12 instead. If I informed that the price in the menu was ten and she needs to remove the wrong menus after I pay the displayed price of $10. The owner stormed out of the kitchen yelling that the prices are wrong and every vegan meal is $12. (Now I was giving this place another try after I had gone inside to order vegan Macaroni and cheese about 4 times over a 2 month period and they never seemed to have it or much anything else on there menu. So I decided to not go there anticipating great or even my favorite meals and I went searching for better and greener pastures. But on today I said let’s give it another try. Surely they will have Mac and cheese; I hadn’t been in here in forever. About 6 months to be exact. So here I am standing as a customer wanting to give this place another attempt at my business.) Her response to her own sloppiness is not worth me ever spending my money there again. I went around the corner to Caribbean Crown Bakery where a I received the same meal hit and not warmed over along with a pleasant smile and a delightful compliment.

Ordered through Grubhub and the food and delivery were great! A few hours later I kept receiving calls from the restaurant, I called back and let them know they had the wrong number and that I had already gotten my order. A few minutes later they sent me a belligerent threatening voicemail, I called back again and after incoherent yelling decided that I had to block the number and contact the police...the food was delicious but under no circumstance give them your phone number or address

First off the food is overpriced. Then the gentleman who serve our food was not very friendly. Seem like he had a attitude for the questions I asked about the menu. When the food finally came, both plates were cold. I had to ask him to warm it in the microwave. The food was just okay, nothing special. For the price, I would think the food will be more exceptional. I do not recommend this place

Hello Non Caribbean People! This is a lie, let me tell you all, this is not the spot to eat from. Who is giving out these stars out? Seriously its that bad. I really feel sorry for the people that say this is great food; because there taste buds or judgment is off...! I am from NY and thats where you can get great Caribbean food... DC stop giving this place props for garbage.

I dont recommend this place at all. Its dirty, unsanitary, and not well maintained.This place is horrible!!! The cashier forgot to give me a receipt and then called me out for not paying for my meal. Tall Jamaican dude with a gray beard. The food was good but totally not worth the trouble. Theres another Caribbean spot nearby, my advice is to hit them up first.

Great cuisine, great atmosphere, great family. Came for the first time with my mother and grandmother after seeing reviews on google. The owners and people within made us feel right at home. The food was amazing and cant imagine I havnt heard of this place before then. A must go for any foodie! Definitely going again soon.

We were visiting DC for the Womens March and went before leaving town. The food, atmosphere, and service were great! They gave great suggestions, and they made my friend a surprise, amazing dish when she couldnt decide. Great food, drinks, and dessert! We cant wait to visit DC and the restaurant again.

Excellent food. Tried the jerk chicken, a ginger tea, and a goat roti. The restaurant is setup so you can view all activity in the kitchen. The kitchen was clean and the roti was made fresh.
