Disappointing experience here to say the least. Given that this is billed as one of the top restaurants in Middleburg we were expecting fresh food prepared well at the very least. What we got was fried and/or frozen scraps that were thrown together by what seemed to be a chef who has lost his will to perform. The sweetbreads were deep fried, which is just a shame to do to something that is so delicate; these definitely tasted of being frozen beforehand as well. The bouillabaisse was a hodgepodge of plainly seasoned seafood that was lacking any broth at all - how can a bouillabaisse not have broth (the MAIN COMPONENT!!)?? My wifes duck breast was dropped on a bed of rice that was stir-fried right up to the point of being burned. The $40+ dollar lobster dinner was a cheap frozen lobster that any supermarket in American sells for $4.99 in the frozen section. Is it too much to expect a Main lobster or the like when we are paying roughly $37/lb? I must say that I hesitated to leave this review, as I dont like trashing any place on a review, but I feel it is important to let other potential patrons know that this place is far, far from the 5 stars that the restaurant currently has on google reviews.

Harrimans is the resident restaurant of the Salamander Resort & Spa. The selection is wide enough to satisfy picky and gourmet eaters alike. For breakfast, try the Shrimp & Grits or the Crab Eggs Benedict. There are plenty of sides that are tasty as well if youd rather have something custom. They also do lunch and dinner - solid options for both. Unfortunately, the restaurant closes somewhat early for a hotel, but you can head to the Gold Cup Wine Bar for a limited menu and plenty to drink if you like to eat on the later side.

New head chef and menu. Great new options. Food and service were outstanding.
