I have been to this restaurant to have chicken dhum biryani. The reason is I like it so much. I suggested many fiends and took them there to taste te food. But recently a week back he gave me bad smelled biryani, i think it was not fresh. Today I ordered chicken dhum biryani, but he brought boneless biryani and I told him that I ordered chicken dhum biryani. e cross checked with his employee and came back to inform me that there is no chicken dhum biryani. This mistake was happening continuously for 3rd time. I told him then I dont need this biryani. He started behaving rude at me and saying that mine attitude is not good. I dont know why he started behaving like that. Biryani is not good and pooooor service. No respect towards daily customers. I am not going there any more.

BEST..!!! Excellent !!! Great!!! Delicious!!!! I wish I could describe more. I never knew cafe india is that close to bawarchi. But, thanks to a random stranger who suggested me cafe india. Ive been to atleast 30-40 Indian restaurants in 7 states. Im pretty sure you will find the best southindian food here including (Andhra special: Punugulu) . Ive had them after a year and I felt home suddenly. From then, Ive been visiting Cafe India every week even am not from tennessee. Its around 90 miles far from my place in kentucky and I dont mind driving all the way to eat tomato chetny n pungulu over there. Give a try guys...You will fall in love with their food. #Internationalstudent #awayfromhome #trustme

They have absolutely the best cake I have ever had. I ordered a plain vanilla cake for a birthday, with vanilla icing and strawberries in between the layers and it tasted AMAZING. Everyone there was telling me how good the cake was. It went far beyond anything I was expecting. The icing was very light with a consistency close to whipped cream (which I loved and I usually dont like even icing) and the cake was baked perfectly. Also, the selection of decorations for a cake is more extensive than anywhere else Ive looked. This is the place Im going to go if I need a cake for any occasion. I wish Id had them make my wedding cake.

Living in Bowling Green, Kentucky, I often find myself craving for Indian Food. Especially Biryani. If my group makes a trip to Nashville, we always prefer Cafe India because of its awesome food. Prices are reasonable. I would recommend Boneless Chicken Biryani and Chilli Chicken. While biryani is delicious, Chilli Chicken takes the win, every time. It reminds exactly of the same dish ordered in Dhabba during winters back in India! Been here 4 times, hasnt disappointed yet! ;) Technology: It has recently changed billing section and now accepts Square Cash, Apple Pay and Android Pay.

Great place to have Indian food in Nashville. They have a variety of items on menu. It is a good family place with an assortment of south indian snacks and dishes. One can also order cakes here. The best dish for me was the mutton biryani. Biryani here was much better than at other Indian places (including one which claims to specialize in it). They could improve a bit on their service time when there are many customers. Further, the Naan could have been better. Did not know whether it was made on demand or was a frozen one - However, this was a one off bad experience

By far and away the most authentic, no frills Indian food in the greater Nashville area. People dont come here for the ambiance, which is very hole-in-the-wallish, they come here for the amazing and authentic flavor profiles. Without fail on any given day of the week, this place is filled with native Indians, which is always a good indicator of how good the place will be. Be advised, some of the dishes can be very spicy so let them know if you want it milder. The flavors are intense no doubt, but the portions are decent and the prices reasonable.

Horrible place !!! Will never order again ..... Placed order for samosa and bhaji in the morning and he gave me a discount on the actual price to bag the order and promised food will be ready by 5 pm in the evening. @ 5 pm the food was not ready and got it only @ 7 30 pm and now, forget about discount he took 2 dollar extra ... said discount is only if you pay by cash (never mentioned during call) Also had few wonderful experiences of waiting for 1+ hrs after ordering food .... Will not recommend this place

This place is very shabby and unhealthy . Service is horrible part of it. If you have lot of time and patience to wait then only visit this place. I did order a shev puri and it took more than 60 min with just two customer ahead of me. Also kids will be roaming around everywhere . A broken table fan and wide opened cake menu plus in cleaned table will be waiting for your welcome .dont visit if you like healthy and beautiful dinner.

Great food and good price. Its partially self-serve and a very casual atmosphere, but dont let that deter you-- they have the best Indian food in town. But what keeps me going back is their amazing pastries. I have looked around for good pastries in Nashville quite a bit and they are one of the best-- not something one would expect at an Indian restaurant but if you love pastries you should definitely try theirs.

Food is good. But service is very very bad. We ordered food and waited more than an hour. People who came after us ate and left, but we were still waiting for the food. So if you want to value your time probably check a diff place. But if you dont mind waiting and waiting then you should be ok.

I really like this place. They have very good chats and breakfast items. Not too pricy. They have to work on their spice levels though...I eat really spicy food, yet I find some of their dishes really spicy. I would choose Cafe India compared to any other Indian restaurants in the area.

Wonderful Indian Fast food. This is a very small place that is very popular among local people of Indian Origin. If you are looking for authentic fast Indian food, give it a try. I would highly recommend their chicken Biriyani. However, this is not a fancy restaurant for your date.

Food is great and its one of the few restaurants where you can get real south indian(Spicy) food. Price is cheap and the biriyani and appetizers tastes really good. Dosa and curries are not so good. If you want authentic spicy indian food at good rates this is a good place.

This was one of to go places for Indian food but this place is becoming more filthy and unhygienic every day. Anytime you have a to go order it is delayed and that too by a lot. The food doesnt taste anymore like how it did in the past. This needs a definite make over.

One of the best Indian flavors I had around Nashville. It is a simple place, but I thought the samosas and Puri were particularly good. I would also recommend their Biryani. Be sure to check the spiciness level with them if you want it to be a bit more moderate.
