BEST KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN IN RICHMOND!!! My husband and I LOVE BonChon chicken - to the point that we excessively crave it! When we first found about about BonChon, I think we went there 3 times in one week? Its just phenomenal - it has a great atmosphere, and a great wait-staff. Weve been here for lunch, dinner, by ourselves, with friends, with a toddler, and theyve been just welcoming and patient with our requests. The chicken is fantastic - especially if you eat it on site, fresh. We have gotten it to go and its still good, but fresh is the way to go. This from my husband who generally will not eat chicken off the bone, but will request that we go hit up BonChon for their spicy, crisp wings and gigantic drumsticks! Their other food is also great! Kimchee pancakes, dumplings, fried rice - I think Ive tried pretty much everything on their menu and havent found anything I havent liked! If you like fried chicken, you need to try Korean Fried Chicken at BonChon. It might just change your life. ;)

Went here at the recommendation of some family members. I had never had Korean fried chicken before, but I was very impressed. It was extremely crispy and tender. I had french fries on the side, which were also hot and crispy. The hot flavored chicken was spicy, a nice contrast to the more subtle flavor of the garlic soy. Also, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I was given an overview of the style of the Korean chicken and how it was prepared. Also, several people checked on me during my meal to inquire about how I heard about the restaurant and whether I was enjoying myself or needed anything. Although they are located on the other side of town, I would definitely go back again, especially to try some of their other dishes.

The food is very good and the wait staff is great. But the manager, Erica, is rude and needs to be fired. She has no sense of customers service and does not know how to talk to people. The problem is not that we ordered our food early. We drove 45 miles (1 hour) to eat lunch at your location. We did not expect to be greeted with a hostile manager (Erica). You need to teach your manager how to speak to customers. I have filed a complaint with BonChon. This is not how a BonChon manager should act! I have visited BonChon in numerous states and two other countries. The Franchise is amazing both food and customer service. You have a terrible manager!

This place was recommended to me by a friend that I usually trust with food recommendations, not this time. The staff was great, service was fast and friendly. Based on my friends recommendation we ordered the avocado ball appetizer with half&half wings. The avocado ball was just OK, but not worth the $10 price tag. The wings were tasty but the chicken was not a good quality. They were deep fried and had very little meat on the bone. At the end of the day we paid $28 for 1 drink $2, avocado ball $10, 6 piece wings $8, and a $5 tip and taxes. Simply not worth it. The place has a 4.7 star rating out of 5, so I maybe too picky. Try it yourself.

The food and the service is phenomenal. We ordered the soy garlic strips, super crispy! And we ordered the japchae. This dish was really good. The clear noodles was different but it was really good with the marinated beef. The service was on point. The manager, To or 2, well thats how you say it, he and our server Ally were awesome! They checked on us regularly and 2 checked on not only us, but every other table as well. Its not often you see a manager making conversation with the customers. I will recommend Bonchon to everyone because they have a permanent customer

I ordered the Bonchon Chicken Lunch Special for $7.95. I chose the eight Soy garlic chicken strips with Kimchi Coleslaw and the Shrimp Shumai as an appetizer. Everything was delicious. Next time the wings... The ladies restroom and dining area was also very clean. I ate the bar and had a clear view of the kitchen entrance. Looked pretty clean back there too. The Staff was very friendly and they explained the menu. This place has quite a large beer selection. Great place to hang out with friends. I will be back.

I went with my son because I love traditional Korean food and I wanted him to try it. Our server recommended that we at least try the chicken, so we ordered a small order of mixed flavors. The dishes we ordered were very good, but one bite into the chicken & both of us were amazed. It was the best chicken either one of us had ever tried. We wished we had ordered a large size of the chicken. The service was great as well. We will definately go back again & again!

I came here for lunch one day and had a great experience! I was seated at the bar right away and our server explained their menu and what BonChon Chicken was all about to us which was very helpful. Not only was the food delicious and reasonably priced, but the service was exceptional! My water was full the entire time and extra plates, forks, etc were brought to me without me even having to ask. I was very impressed! Definitely going to come back to BonChon!

After being told to visit Bonchon by a couple different people I swung by this location after picking up a relative from the airport. The chicken strips are an amazing size (you could split a small between two people, or take some home for later) along with the drumsticks. I will caution that the spicy is definitely HOT and not a mild sauce (which is to be expected, but just as a fair warning). If I find myself near another location Ill visit again.

I ordered the chicken sliders and the ribeye sliders. The ribeye sliders were good but, they didnt put enough meat on them. In regards to the chicken sliders, one was good. The other two were tough to bite into. When I took the breading off the chicken, I could see that they were either overcooked or re-cooked a few times. I would go back to try something else but, I definitely wouldnt get the chicken sliders again.

Went to BonChon the other day and had some of the best Fried Chicken I’ve had in a while. In addition to the chicken I also had Japchae, a noodle and beef dish, which was very flavorful and cooked near perfection. Upon arriving in the restaurant I was immediately greeting and cared for, a rarity now a days. I recommend this restaurant for anyone in the neighborhood for good Vietnamese food at reasonable prices.

Insanely crisp fried chicken wings. The skin shatters like glass. I love the various appetizers, my recommendation is is takoyaki. The dancing Bonito flakes they top it with are worth it alone. The only downside is they only have two flavors for the chicken, both are delicious, I would prefer a bit more variety.

Food was decent, service mostly attentive, smelled a little funny. Biggest issue was the temperature inside the building. It was hot outside but I was still sweating enough inside that I had to dab my forehead with a napkin. Then the hand-wipe served after the meal was heated. Blegh.

Great place for Korean food (wings particularly) as well as some other Asian flavors. Everything weve tried was very flavorful with good level of spiciness and very reasonably priced. Nice and clean ambiance and friendly attentive service. We definitely will be back.
