My wife, daughter, and I sat down for what we thought would be a relatively quick dinner as we were driving through Richmond, back home to the VA Beach area. Since it didnt look too busy, and we were getting two salads and a kids meal of meatballs and fries, we thought wed get in and back on the road in about 45 minutes max. Keep in mind, the restaurant was maybe 1/3 full. There was no wait and a good amount of empty tables. We ordered at 6:10pm. At 6:35pm the waitress came to us and said there was a mixup with our ticket and the kitchen is getting our order together. Another 10 minutes go by, and nothing. I ask the waitress for an update, she goes to the kitchen and 5 min later, comes back with our daughters food and says our salads are being put together now. At his point its 6:50 and still no food for us. We reach 7 oclock and our daughter is nearly done with her food and my wife points out that theres no way shes going to sit still while we eat our food. At which point my wife goes to the manager and says to forget about our salads, we have to leave. While were waiting for the manager to come to our table, we watched as nearly everyone who entered before or with us, finish their meals and leave. The manager finally comes over and apologies, says the food is on them, and theres no bill to pay. The waitress comes over and apologies and says, at least your daughter got food, which was just such a weird comment. As if to say, well you didnt walk away with nothing, right? Could have been worse! The whole experience was frustrating and annoying. I wouldnt go back to this restaurant.

Do not know what has happened to this particular location, but someone needs to get it under control. Thought about giving them two stars because we have been here in past years and it was acceptable, but just cant bring myself to do it. The last two times we have been here have been drastically different than past experiences. We brought out of town friends here... a couple and their three girls, and us with our two kids. The place was really not that busy but it took a long time to get seated and then service was really slow. Orders got mixed up, and it took a long time to fix them. none of us left with a good feeling about the place. Several months later, we tried again... just us and our son. There were only a handful of tables with patrons; looked like less than 10% of the tables in use. We stood there with the hostess for close to 15 minutes as she apologized and said that someone would seat us shortly. We started to just go and seat ourselves, but that seemed to panic her. We walked out and went to Shoneys. Have no idea what is going on here. Hope that they get their act back together soon.

2 stars only because the young man that greeted me and seated me was incredibly nice and polite. I ordered NachO.M.G. it said there were nachos "loaded" with Reds chilli chilli, two kinds of cheese, tomatoes, pickeled jalapenos, onions, salsa, sour cream and guacamole. WELLLLL, I walked back to my room with my to go order and was VERY disappointed to find nachos, some cheese and about 2 small spoonfuls of meat. It definitely wasnt LOADED. Soooo, I walked back, looked at the menu to make sure i read it correctly and very kindly asked the same young man, after i showed him, if that was right. He said no, apologized and let the manager know. She then brings out another box, opens it and now there is all the items but less meat this time. For ten dollars, I expected more. If it says loaded....I figured there would be more than what would fill a hamsters tummy. I wont go back.

Sat down very quickly. Waited for our waitress - another waitress came and took our order after waiting for awhile. Our waitress never introduced herself and only came to the table when the waitress that took our order was bringing our drinks. Waited a while for our food, but that is expected. She showed back up when our food was ready and said she would get us silverware and napkins...didnt see her again for over 20 minutes- still no silverware and she ignored us. Had to stop her to ask for a drink refill, and only asked one of us! Waitress that took our order finally got our silverware. Will NOT come back here!!! Wish the waitress that took our order was our server because she was actually attentive and was helping out however she could. Gnats flying all around.

Went to Red Robin this evening for dinner. Waited a few before anyone came over. No big deal. Placed our order and again waited and waited for our food. Noticing others around us who came in after had already received their food. We didnt say anything/no complaints we just waited. The manager Mike came over and informed us the waitress forgot to put our order in. She got side tracked and forgot. Ok no big deal things happen. He apologized 2/3 times said he would take a percent off our bill.Then came back with a $25 gift card in addition to the discount on our bill. Thank you again Mike for the great customer service! Showing you appreciate your customers is why we will be back. My only complaint is the waitress never apologized.

If I could rate this a 0 I would. We arrive getting greeted by a lady and tell her how many we have in are party and if we were 21 and older. I tell her 3 people and no we had one who wasnt 21. She tells us it will take 10-15 minutes to seat us but i see that there were a couple tables free. But you know, hey lets go with the flow. So we waited there for at least 23 minutes, because yes we timed it, and we saw those who were 21 and older get seated first while parties like me werent. We also got to hear another host talk about how french was beautiful and German was ugly in a very loud voice. After 23 minutes, we grew tired of it. There service sucks. Do not come here because they do not know how to prioritize.

My wife and I went here for a late dinner and had a terrible experience, they were short staff, our server took forever to get our drinks and then took another 20 minutes to take our order, we waited over 40 mins to get our food and when it came out the dishes were filthy and I had a black piece of something in my fries, the manager came to the table and asked my wife if she wanted a salad to-go since her salad was in a dirty bowl, we waited 10 mins and still didnt get the salad so we left. They were not even busy, we were very disappointed and left hungry because our food looked disgusting and the dishes were nasty! Never will we go there again!

Sunday afternoon, not busy. Hostess brushes us off. Seats a group of five. Says shell be with us after. Never comes back. Five more groups of varying sizes come in after us. Still no sign of hostess. A few employees walk by and see us all waiting. Still no hostess. One group leaves, not being polite or quiet about it. Still no hostess. Everyone is looking around at each other. Still no hostess. We finally left. Will find somewhere else. Hope they locate their hostess soon. Poor thing obviously got lost. We wont be back.
