This place is truly bad. The service is poor and slow. The food is gross. Like my vegetable curry was mostly improperly sliced eggplant, with some cabbage, and 5 pieces of other normal vegetables. Hardly any sauce. They dont have sides of fried rice. Their egg rolls are the size of a finger, literally. They dont have thai tea (you have to get it next door. It tastes great but is on the expensive side). I dont see how this place can stay open. What is up with these good reviews. Disgusting.

Ordered my food "medium" spicy - thought my tongue was going to spontaneously combust. It was good food and a fun atmosphere though. My only recommendation is.. be wary about what their idea of "medium" is. I dont know if there was a miscommunication or of medium to them really means "Lets try and burn this guy from the inside out." but my food was spicy on the order of what most restaurants consider "spicy" - that being said it was great. Id go back, Ill just be ordering mild next time.

The food is consistently decent, but the service varies from standard to abysmal. Food can take anywhere from 5-25 minutes to recieve depending on the day, and calling for carryout has been pointless for myself. Just recently I was actually on hold long enough to drive across midtown and order it myself in person. There was no line when I arrived, and the woman who took my order didnt seem like she could care less when I told her about it. Decent food though.

Its OK Thai food....but Ive had much better. I went there with my work, and ordered an Asian style fish soup, and it wasnt nearly as good as I would have hoped. My friends also commented on the utter mediocrity of the restaurant. Its rather Americanized, and the portion sizes arent really worth the money. The weird thing is that Ive been to Sy Thai in its other Detroit location, and it was substantially better than at Go Sy Thai.

Not bad as far as fast food Americanized Thai food goes, this would normally be a three star review. However, they recently changed their carryout rice portion to be about a half cup cooked. Less than half of what it was before. This is ridiculous and its only white rice, so while you are paying over $10 for the dish they are being cheap over 8 cents of wholesale white rice.

Great staff, food is always amazing, my only gripe is the dine in ambiance may be ruined by beggars and the homeless, which yes is terrible but is rather frustrating to those who want to grab their food and dine in, Id appreciate if there was more enforcement on keeping out beggars or the homeless from bothering the diners, otherwise everything is pretty great!

This little corner eatery is great. The food tastes amazing and the price is not too expensive for what is: fast Thai food. Options are extensive and the service is very fast. Theres some metered parking outside otherwise its recommended that you walk there as theres not a ton of parking around. They also accept tap to pay and you can order ahead.

I live just three blocks away from this place. After I had food here for the first time, I was wondering why the heck I didnt came here for one whole year!! Damn meh! The food is just awesome. The spice is enough (may be more) for any indian taste bud. The place is neat & service is fast.

Decent Thai food for a decent price. I like really spicy food, so ordering anything "top of the Line" is typically what I go with. The interior is fresh and modern, and they offer student discounts, as well as a lunch combo that comes with an egg roll and a drink. This place is great.

The place is amazing, except for the wait time and scoring a place to sit, esp around noon. The food is as good as it gets. You can customize to your level of spice. Huge variety to choose from. I personally love the sys fried rice. I try to sneak out from work and visit every Friday.

Solid thai flavors but tastes rushed. A five-star curry takes time to mesh. Lunch time is busy and crowded. If you like the busy-city, urban vibe it could be a four star for you. FYI: Potatoes in the curries are fried. Definitely a matter of preference. I like it.

Ok, I love Thai cuisine and that also spicy. But this place gave me goosebumps when it comes to spicy. The food was freaking yummy and low priced. But the spiciness made me mark this place as my favorite to visit again. Keep up the good work guys you are awesome.

The food is cheap but the portions are relatively small. Pad Thai had an unpleasant eggy smell which I didnt like, although its taste was okay. Not nearly as good as Sy Thai in Birmingham. I dont even think they are the same restaurant.

Quick service only with limited menu compared to Sy Thais suburban locations; their most popular dishes are available and the food is perhaps even better. A friendly staff is another reason to patronize this midtown recent addition.

The food was good and very quick, and the price was quite reasonable. I got Pad Thai with Medium spice, and it was quite hot. I liked it, so if you like hot and spicy, then go for it. :) Thumbs-up! Theres wi-fi, too.

been here a few times. decent Thai food. no issues the last few times. this time tho, both our dishes (udon noodle and veggie curry) were way too salty. and ive been known to salt pizza. too much salt. too much.

Great place for halal Thai food. Careful though, the food is spicy. I would caution making any of your dishes medium or higher when they ask how spicy you want it. Overall delicious, would def come here again!

Some of the best and consistent quick Thai food you can get. Always busy and always delicious. Not authentic by any means, but their food is just as good as any authentic Thai food restaurant Ive been to.

This place has a really cool, modern vibe. Food is pretty good though portion sizes are big. I also really enjoy the fact that all meals start vegetarian as a base and you can add meat as necessary.

The food isnt as good as it used to be. The new owner changed recipes and most of them arent good changes. They offer 10% off for wayne state students, but you have to ask about it before you pay.

Im not an expert by any means on Thai food. But I know damn tasty food when I see the big portions and spend the next half hour working my way though the amazing dish I got.

I love the potato curry but the rice quantity is less. Wayne State University students get discount by showing your one card. You can customise the spiciness of your food.

Must try - Starters: Chicken Satay Must try - Main course: Potato Curry, Gang Gai Curry or Pad Thai Not so good: Fried rice. Alert: most dishes have fish sauce as base.

Go Sy Thai is like Chipotle meets Thai. The food is great, at very reasonable prices without the wait. The dining area is comfortable and clean, I love coming here.
