There must be fake reviews for this. Ordered the OMG Nachos, a side taco, and a taco salad; all of it to go. As were paying the cashier says that the receipt isnt printing and asks us if we were going to tip. So, feeling like we must (for a to go order btw) we say sure, $5. Suddenly the cashier has no problem printing the receipt, and the card has already been charged the amount. We sign anyways. Say thank you and head 5 minutes out to our hotel. As we begin to unwrap and open everything, we notice how small the portions were, and how cold the food felt. The nachos came with no more than 6 chips. All the guacamole was brown. After eating half of the nachos and a few bites of the taco, I was instantly over the toilet vomiting. Ive had a fever for 2 days now since Ive eaten here, I havent been able to eat anything else since Ive eaten here. This is my first review because I felt such a need to warn others to skip this place. Yes it sounds good and looks good on the outside. However, the food is the most disgusting stuff Ive had in my 22 years of life.

Looking for a fast, hot delicious authentic Mexican meal with consistent service? Then this is your go-to spot. The chicken and spinach enchiladas are fantastic and full of flavor. The salsa and white sauce is delightful. Portions are large enough for an average eater to get two meals. The decor is up-to-date with colorful artworks and the outdoor patio is great this time of year. Frozen Margaritas are strong and taste great, but if you want salt you might want to ask. Somewhat pricey in the realm of Mexican restaurants, as they run $2-3 higher than most places in town. If you are towards Glen Allen and west of the city this is a great place, but if you are closer to downtown or looking for more of a party or to meet new people, try Nacho Mamas or En Su Boca.

This is a very good representative of the Plaza Azteca chain... good food served by fast, friendly staff with good drinks and a nice selections of beers. This location just seems to be a notch above the other Plaza Aztecas in the area... Maybe the cooks add a bit more spice. Maybe the staff is just a bit friendlier. Maybe the service is just a touch better, consistently. Shrimp tacos here are my wifes favorite dish. Consistently good food and prompt service. Great for getting together with a group after work, or for going with the family.

Our server took awhile to get to us, we actually ordered our drinks and our meal at the same time. They bring out chips and salsa to eat while you wait. I love the cilantro bits in the salsa. Dont forget to ask for the white sauce, delicious! Restrooms are clean. Food is brought out rather fast. Still tasted fresh, and is very hot. I had Combo 2, cheese sauce makes this dish. Looked crowded when we arrived, but we were seated immediately.

The atmosphere us fun here. Normally the food is pretty tasty. This last trip was not the same. Our chips were stale and my chicken was burned. I felt as of server was not friendly and could have been more attentive. We ran out of drinks several times and had to wait extended time for refill. They were not busy the day we were there so do not understand the wait

I eat here quite often. Its pretty standard Mexican food. I have had a bad experience where I literally had to get up and ask my waiter for refills, to take our order, etc... and the restaurant wasnt even busy. Easily a 1-star experience that day, but other times Ive been here have been OK. I think you get exactly what you expect from this type of chain.

I used to love this place. My opinion has changed. The service got very slow, there was a hair very prominently placed on my plate. The food wasnt nearly as good as it used to be. It was hot in there, I ended up feeling sick. Then they took forever to even bring the check. There are too many good Mexican restaurants in the area for me to settle.

The food was phenomenal! Great quality ingredients, delicious sauces, pretty presentation, too. Atmosphere was really nice and the service was excellent. All that and it was reasonably priced. I really cant say enough good things about this place. We just happened upon it by pure chance while driving south and I-95.

waiter forged a tip in my name. did the notice till 3 days later. police came to review tapes. but the tapes only go back to 2 days. coincidence??? left him a cash tip and still wrote himself a 8 dollar tip. police acted like I was a criminal. Never go there. manager there was not helpful and he lied

Salsa from a jar should have been my first clue. I had seafood enchiladas. They were not good with imitation crab meat. The beans were salty. Stopped on my way through town going from South Carolina to Maryland. Will keep going next time. Service was great and the drinks were good.

I really like this Plaza Azteca the staff is friendly and the food is always good. Only reason I gave it 4 stars its a little bit more on the expensive side it sometimes I just dont feel that Im getting the best value for the dollar but I have no complaints the food service or ambience

The food was really good! It came out to us fairly quickly and our server was very polite. The restaurant is clean and looks very good! The bathrooms are also clean. We are here after it was first put in and the quality of the food hasnt diminished one bit!

Fresh variety of the Mexican classics but with a price tag consistently $2 to high. No big deal until there are 9 of you eating and drinking 2 to 3 things. Nice staff but frequent kitchen mistakes if you make special orders. That said, Im going to return.

A decent Mexican food restaurant, a little overpriced for the portions though. They love to slather cheese on the chimichangas that I ordered, and being a southern californian that is actually Mexican, its disgusting.

If you are looking for a hardy great tasting salad, Plaza has the best. Ive never gotten a bad meal from Plaza Aztecs. Their pricing is expensive but Im always willing to pay a little extra for good food.

I went there tonight and had a very bitter salad. The chips were hard. My waitress was very sweet and did a good job. I feel like the food should be better for the price.
