I popped into Lockside for my first visit on Friday for lunch. I had a pretty late start and the last remnants of the lunch crowd were clearing out as I was entering. I was greeted by a server who told me I could sit wherever I liked and fter taking a look around I decided to sit up at the bar. Just a quick description about the place. The dining room is large and nicely designed. It may be called a bar and grill be I think its definitely more of a restaurant/grill than a bar. Between the bar and the rest of the dining room is a nice sized community table that you can probably sit at least a dozen people comfortably. The bar itself is also spacious. Its along the back wall and has a corner on it that also contains a secondary exit. I didnt get a chance to look at the deck area. Maybe next time Ill eat out there once its warmer. The server who I spoke to at the beginning, her name was Lindsey, ended be waiting on me. After bringing a menu and a list of the days specials she took my drink order and gave me a few minutes to review the menu. I noticed right away that theyre open for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. I was going back and forth between one of the burgers and the Cuban sandwich, which ultimately I went with the sandwich & fries. About 10 or so minutes after ordering my lunch arrived. The Cubano was definitely a Cuban sandwich. Pulled pork, ham, pickles, jack cheese, and mustard on a Cuban roll that was pressed. It also came with a side of flavored mayo. The sandwich was good, not great, but definitely good. To me the pulled pork flavor was off a little bit. I found the mayo improved it. The fries were however were excellent. All in all a good visit, Id rate it at a solid 3.5, I rounded up for the stars. The service was attentive and friendly. I thought the prices were a little on the high side, however Ill offset that with the waterfront location and again the place is very nice inside. Ill definitely be back to try out some other menu items.

A group of 9 of us went there for dinner and the service was horrible. We had Kylie as our waitress and she didnt service our table and when we tried to get her attention, she would just walk by us and ignore us. She was unprofessional when she spoke to us and the food was sub par! I had the seafood platter and there were chunks of shell in the linguini, just to add to the bad service we were receiving! She didnt introduce us to the specials, or the desserts. When we were finished with our meals, we wanted to order desserts, so we waived at her for 3 minutes or more. I know she had to see us because the other servers did!! Finally, another server came over and took our dessert order. We wrote on our receipts that the service was awful, the food was bad, and the portions were so small that we should have NEVER paid the amount we did for that food! Never going there again!!

Just ate there for my daughters birthday. I got the Etufea. The rice wasnt done so I sent it back. Second time around the sauce was way too salty and severely lacking in any seafood, however they got the rice right. I had to use bread from others at the table to make it palatable. My mom was with us and she got the shrimp and grits. It had so much sauce on it it looked like stew with an oil slick on top. ..Chef, please taste your dishes before they go out. I dont think either of them would have left the kitchen. Also, two others at my table had the salmon. It was not cooked all they way. Overall, the service was good and my wife and I noticed the chef taking our problems with the food to heart. Not sure if I will return.

As someone who has been in the restaurant business for over 30 years, I tend to be a bit picky. However, I havent had such a good experience in many years. I ordered their Cali Benedict (avacado instead of Canadian bacon)the eggs were cooked perfectly, the presentation was good, and it was delicious!! The service was excellent!!!! (even though I asked for several alterations, me being picky again). Loved the atmosphere on the outside deck over looking the water at the locks. The only thing I would liked to change would be if the music was a little softer and quiter as this was a late breakfast. 2 thumbs up for Lockside Bar and Grill

Lockside is at the top of our list for our favorite places to eat!! The food is so fresh and delicious, nicely prepared and timely brought to our table. Not just that, we came in on a VERY busy Sunday morning. Snow was falling all around and people were coming in heaps for a great breakfast. The gals seating everyone had every reason to be flustered and unpleasant, but were so gracious nice, calm and organized. They worked so well together to clear tables and seat everyone in such an orderly fashion. By the time our food came everyone was seated and smiles all around!!! The service here is superb! WELL DONE BY ALL!!!

This is one of the best places in town, no doubts. Ive been forced to go out to eat when my kitchen was in the process of being renovated , and Lockside quickly made it to the top of the list. Some of my all time favorite dishes are baked mussels with white wine and garlic sauce (to die for!!!!), grilled avocado tacos (just enough spice not to ruin the flavor), crab cakes (always fresh and delicious). They always have a good selection of wine and local craft beers. Their staff is polite and friendly. I recommended this restaurant to a few of my friends, and they all loved it!!! Good job Lockside:)

Ordered shrimp posted boy sandwich and b it came with fries. The fries were scanty in number, thin and dry but tasted like they had been fried in the same oil as fish...ate 2 and stopped. The shrimp were fried okay but the bread was too dry and tasteless and they piled on huge pieces of lettuce that slid off right away and 3 slices of tomato that was not ripe slid off on the plate too. Also some raw onion which was too strong leaving shrimp and not nearly enough remoulade sauce for tgat and the dry bread. All I ate were the shrimp. Left hungry and disappointed.

Not a bad place, a really good location however, I dont think theyre going to be there very long since a little upscale for the general area, at least thats what the menu selections suggest. Prices for spirits, beer and wine a lot steeper than just across the street. When on a Saturday afternoon and there were 4 people there that were not workers ...pretty boring actually. Menu selections leave a LOT to be desired. I dont go to a bar to pay ultra-premium prices for comfort foods. Go with a fat wallet, youll need it to try and enjoy a simple night out.

Mothers day 2017. Very busy (to be expected) nothing wrong with that. Very friendly staff. Toppings for burgers, etc are a little overpriced. Long wait time (expected). My food was fine but one person in my party got a breakfast entree and the food wasnt prepared to specification and was overcooked and cold. Bit of plastic in the sausage :/. Check took forever to come and we spoke to the manager. Manager was very friendly and extremely sincere and the breakfast meal was taken off the bill. Bad experiences happen, cant judge somewhere by a simple mistake.
