A little dive bar, but the owner has a big ego like most of them. Where complacency has settled in with the expectation that people will always come in to a bar. Over priced drinks, limited selection of over priced and low quality food. Compounded with poor customer service where the bartenders and servers convey a sentiment they are doing you a favor by tending to you. Rather than employing their own bouncers like most places, they contract some hole in the wall security company out of PG county , MD where they employ thugs off the street with no training on how to seal with customers. I guess if you are a post grad with no vehicle, it is the only location to frequent on a walking basis.

Lived nearby for 10 years but never went because its located on the backside of a tawdry strip center and, from the outside, looks like it could be dangerous to your health. Looks that way inside, too, but my Philly Cheesesteak and fries were excellent, the bartender was friendly but not intrusive, there were plenty of TVs for sports watching, and its affordable. The only problem for me was breathing the pervasive bleach gas from an earlier cleaning. I hope the place survives the encroaching upscale development. Ill be going back.

My girlfriend and I recently stopped in the LA (Lower Arlington) Bar and Grill, and expected something else. To our satisfaction it was probably one of the most lively places on Columbia Pike, with a great staff, and Karaoke on Saturdays. The crowd was a good mix of guys to girls, with quite a variety (all ages, all shapes, all ethnic groups). Cheap generously poured drinks (not watered down), and good eats! Ill definetly go there again since its in the neighborhood, especially since it is in the neighborhood! :)

This is a surprisingly good local bar here in South Arlington. As they indicate on their menu...they are not trying to impress anyone--pretentious customers need not enter. Happy hour prices are great and Wednesday nights you can get hamburgers for half-price, which are also awesome. Theres darts and karaoke and other typical bar accoutrements to keep regulars happy and the occasional wanderer entertained.

This place is a dump pure and simple, but they have lots of TVs for NFL Sunday ticket, and at least when the Redskins are not playing, you can always watch your out of town game, usually with sound. Decent priced beer on Football Sundays. the food is AWFUL, I have eaten here twice and each time lived to regret it. hippie bartenders who seem to familiar at times.

Best hangout in this area of upscale bars. Food is great. Drinks are well poured and fairly priced. Happy hour 4 - 8. The locals are friendly and fun. Parking can be a challenge in this residential area but you might need to park and walk a distance. The door on the womens restroom sticks. Throw your hip into it.

A real dive. A real local place. Except its not dirty or grungy. The burgers are delicious. So are the street tacos. And everyones friendly. No hipsters. Beer, mixed drinks, daily specials. Karaoke night. Really fun. Love the black and blue burger. Half priced burgers on Wednesday nights.

Ordered onion rings. Super oily and bland. Ordered French fries. Tiny order and the French fries were oily and limp. Sevice was terrible from the males. The only saving grace was the young lady with One braid. Super kind and continued to try and fix things.

I love LA Bar. Its close to shopping & other activities on the Pike. The local atmosphere is charming. Good for lunch, dinner, late nite or happy hour. Live music, sports on 9 flatscreen televisions, karaoke & trivia. Its my "go to" "lets meet" place.

If you are looking for a dive bar this is your place! It is on the backside of the strip mall on Columbia Pike so you could have passed it many times without seeing it. I highly recommend the burgers which are half price on Monday and Wednesday nights.

Hidden gem on with a strong kitchen when it wants to be. Recommended the Hanger steak or the Steamed Shrimp and spring mix. Kitchen open late with full menu. Live music several nights a week. Plenty of plasma to watch whatever you like.

Staff is ALWAYS FRIENDLY, KJ is awesome, food is great (I suggest the nachos or the burger or even the wedge salad). The drinks are reasonably priced, half a mile out of dc, and for the heart of Arlington. People are always friendly.

This place has excellent burgers and fries. Not a wide selection of beer but it does have a pool hall and is a nice hole-in-the-wall type place. Plus they also do pub trivia during the week and half price burger specials on Wednesdays

I really want to like this place. It has the potential to be a solid neighborhood dive bar: odd location, busted up bathrooms, strange decor. Unfortunately, drinks arent priced like its a dive. Youll meet some fun people though.
