My fourth time visiting this restaurant/ bar have been nice. I had a variety of different experiences here. The normally experience here if you come during rush hour, happy hour time frame, is that youll have to wait. There isnt much seating so generally it will be awhile to sit since people like to enjoy their times here. Once you get seated everything is lovely. The staff is so so. The first time I came here I was not a fan of the waitress, she was not friendly. The other times I had nice waiters and waitress. So it depends on who you get. The prices are a little expensive, but its a wine bar so what can you expect. The smart thing to do to be affordable is to get a bottle or pitcher of sangria between you and a friend. I also will get a couple "sips" which is 3oz of a wine. Getting sips is a great way to try out different wines for not too much money. Depending on who is serving you they might give you a little more than 3oz. The food is tasty, I tried the sandwiches here and liked them. I like that this bar/ restaurant is in Clarendon as it is a nice change from the typical sports bars. This place has a great cheese selection and wine selection. I would come here to buy a bottle to take home as that is the best bargain here. Bottles are very affordable to take home. I think this place would be better if it were a little bigger. I think there is a lot of potential here. Many of my friends like to come here due to the variety of wine that is served.

This is one of my favorite spots in the area. As a wine bar, I expected Screwtop to have a great wine selection (which they do), but I was amazed at how excellent their food is. Their menu doesnt look like much - its mostly just made up of some shareable plates and maybe a dozen different sandwiches. Order a sandwich. Any sandwich. They are all phenomenal. Im not sure exactly what makes their them so much better than others - its probably a combination of their excellent cheese, fresh bread, and interesting and flavorful extras (like horseradish mayo, bacon jam, etc.) - but all I know is as soon as I take a bite, its heaven. Ive been here about a dozen times, and each time I force myself to order something new (which can be difficult, as I always want to reorder everything Ive ever had here), and I am never disappointed. If you dine here, you wont be disappointed either.

Love this eclectic wine bar. A friend an I meet up quarterly for wine and goodies and she selected this and I loved it. Ive returned several times since. One of my highlights of this place is the Truffle Popcorn at the bar during happy hour. I could sit there all day and just snack on that. The wine selection is also pretty often and I usually try the different flights so I can get a variety. I usually do a charcuterie flight and cheese flight when I go, but I"ve also tried the awesome mac and cheese trio as well. I love they focus just as much on the cheese as the wine there and it never disappoints.

I have had my last two birthday party celebrations at Screwtop. It is a great place to go on date night as well as for a night out with friends. Any place with Dibon, is a great place to me. Their flights are constantly changing, so you always have the opportunity to taste different wines at a reasonable price. When it comes to food, try to the lettuce wraps and bacon wrapped dates. I know that it is a lot of pork, but it is worth the artery clog.

This is one of my favorite places to eat, hands down. My husband and I have come here about 5 times, and the experience is perfect each time. They have an extensive wine list, with wines to suit every taste. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and can always be trusted with suggestions. The food here is delicious and is always perfectly prepared. This is an establishment that really knows its "stuff," and does it very very well.

The wine selection is great, the atmosphere is cozy but sophisticated, and the food is delicious. Ive been here for business meetings and dates, and it was perfect for both occasions. The truffle Mac and cheese was especially delicious, and their champagne and cheese tasting flight was perfect in portion and taste. Im always looking for an excuse to go back!

The staff is always super friendly and frequently make great suggestions, though the menu itself is help enough with its suggested pairings. Great food and wine that wont break the bank. The buffaloaf sandwich is a must-try, and I recommend getting it with the tomato bisque as a dipping sauce--absolutely to die for with a nice red.

Ive been here many times for wine classes, and several times for dinner with friends. The wine classes with Amanda are fantastic. Screwtop has a great selection of wines and cheeses (yay for Midnight Moon being added into the mix), and a very good menu (the truffle mac n cheese is a must try).

Yuppie but awesome. The food was delicious. Loved the grilled cheese sandwich (better than the grilled cheese sliders). The cab fare flight was delicious. They have decent beers as well with a nice farmhouse Saison from Yards. My companion absolutely loved the sliders. Overall just fantastic.

Love this little local wine shop. Strongly recommend joining the wine club if you live in the area. The owner, Wendy, does a great job with the selections each month which come with a cheese pairing. The food is delicious too... come for a drink, stay for dinner. Youll be glad you did.

This place is great. On a nice side street which accommodates quiet outside seating. A lengthy selection of wines makes urchin for trying something new. Dog friendly. And, they have BEST nachos in the DMV area! The pork is salty and the cheese is spicy. I will be back!

Regular free tastings, a great gourmet shop, delicious wine bar fare, and a fabulous selection of vino. This is the kind of place you can stop in any time to grab a glass or food. One of my absolute favorite places in Arlington.

The bar was great. The beers were awesome. They had a random documentary playing which was actually quite interesting. The dj rocked and the ambiance was really nice. Apparently they do coffee in the morning? Would repeat.

Though a little overpriced, the food is delicious and the wine selection is great. Also, if you come in the evenings and sit at the bar, you will get some really delicious truffle popcorn as a bar snack.
