Came here with friends for the omakase. Theyve been bragging about this place for months. $78 gives you 7 dishes. Everything ranging from uni, monk fish, toro, oyster, yellowtail, fatty tuna, scallops, ikura, flying fish, carpaccio. All the fish is super fresh imported from Japan daily. We had to book in advance to reserve our table and the omakase. Chef Peter and his staff were brilliant. Sushi here is very different and he described each intricate dish. His philosophy is to make each fish have a memorable taste that is unique and can only be found here. You can tell that the chefs here put in extra creativity when it comes to making each dish. Even basic miso soup was seasoned differently and had mussels. His staff was very friendly, efficient and entertaining. Ill def be back throughout the year when he orders special fish only available 1-2 weeks out of the year. If your a sushi lover try the omakase. The 2 hour dining experience is something you wont regret and youll leave wanting more. If you want the fun rolls theyre reasonably priced here. Restaurant is small I wouldnt recommend for large parties. We came her on a Friday night and the wait was not long.

Went here last weekend and tried out their Baby Octopus salad along with a Crazy Monkey roll as per the suggestions of our waiter. The Salad was nice and tasty. The octopus was spiced and flavored in a way I had never tried before so it was delightful needless to say, and the Crazy Monkey Roll was amazing with the cream cheese included in it giving a smooth taste that was just fun to eat. The service was lackluster when I came as there were a lot of people but I still need to consider that they were slow for my tastes. The restaurant itself was spotless but I went to the bathroom only to find that it was filthy, somebody had left it in horrible shape and either none of the staff had noticed yet or it had gotten dirty minutes before I entered it. All in all, the food was good, service was slow, dining area was clean but the bathroom was gross. I´m going to opt for four stars since the food was trully delicious.

Easily the best sushi in Arlington. Expensive and worth it. Especially for date nights. If you get the chance, money, time, and appetite for sushi, then come get you some. Id come here every day if I was making enough money, but unfortunately they price me out except for a bimonthly visit. Also, if you like sake you can find your new favorites here. Just look on the top shelf and see the lineup. Get the mackerel if its available. Sometimes they have monkfish liver which sounds terrible, but it is like tasty saltwater butter. Enjoy.

Great restaurant! Chef Peter has great style and skill and I have never not been presented with great sushi here. Definitely a reliable spot for the DC area to get an authentic Japanese style sushi experience with a little American flare and fusion. But definitely not too much, as they do the classics very well and look for some of their specialty rolls like the Del Ray Roll and some others. Highly recommended. Plus they have good flights of Sake to taste.

The food was just alright. The service was so so. Nothing wows. Real issue is design - its like everything was ordered blindly by someone who hadnt run a restaurant before or knew what would work. The dining room is small, and has all very low bench seating. Feels couch like - not really conducive to sushi. The sushi bar is not a deep enough bar to fit your food. The bar stools are high on design, but uncomfortable to sit on, and really slip on the floor.

I arrived with an extraordinarily hangry girlfriend hot on my heels. Our waiter (pretty sure his name was Dorian) was on top of it from the moment I walked in, and helped me find some delicious rolls that he delivered as soon as she got there. Not only were the sushi quality/combinations great, but Dorian could not have been a better waiter throughout the entire night.

I liked this place... 1 -because its a small place & 2 -very guiet with ambient lighting. The presentation of the food is excellent & priced ok... I was just not a fan of only 1 server working the floor and at times dood taking a little long to make it to the table. Also our to-go order took the longest, u may wanna order that WAY BEFORE u are ready to leave.

Love the sushi bar. Beautifully crafted sushi creations (my favorite is the Volcano Roll) and the all adult theme is a nice respite in Del Ray. The only thing that would be nicer is if they allowed some cross ordering with the other restaurants in the shared building. Ribs and Sushi!

Ive tried almost everything on the menu and I love their specialty rolls. It is very consistent as Ive gone many times. I also like that they are open really late (like midnight during the week I think) so its helpful when I want something thats good to eat but later in the evening.

First off, no kids allowed. 18 and up only may dine here. Wonderful. The sushi is fresh and creative, its just not my style. Nothing is wrong with it. Everything was on point. I like simpler rolls and this place goes for the fancy. Go here, youll probably like it.

The attention to detail is what makes this place stand out among the other sushi places in the area. The taste is wonderful, good atmosphere and the service is solid. If you are in the mood for sushi in the area this is a must visit.

The sushi was beautiful looking but once we started eating it everything had a horrible old fish taste even and a slimey texture.Even the seared pieces. Paid $90 and couldnt even finish. Was sick to our stomachs half way in.

Amazing food & customer service! Chef Peter is amazing! The staff takes time to get to know you and chef Peter loves to try new things. You can walk in and tell him what you like and they will make you a special roll.

A+. Excellent quality and inventive specialty rolls. Also, very affordable and theyre one of the only (if not THE only) sushi places open late night. The lone negative is no delivery, but overall 5 stars. Will go back.

Great food. Try The Winner (appetizer). Its one of the best apps Ive ever had. The service is really good at the bar. Once, we sat at one of the tables in front of the window and the service was noticeably lacking.

The best sushi in Alexandria and Arlington hands down. The quality of the fish is stupid awesome. The yellowtail and snapper are both amazing. Great rolls if thats your thing, lots of jalapenos.

Five stars for a great happy hour! My boyfriend and I paid under $35 for two drinks, 5 rolls of sushi, and edamame. I would definitely come back.
