I have no issue with the food or the wine selection. What I have serious issue with is this establishments absurd pricing habits. If you want to drink a bottle of wine they have sitting on their shelf, they will add $30 to your bill. If you take that bottle of wine to go, nothing added. But if you stay there and drink it, they add this fee. That is ridiculous! Most wine prices are already about 1.5 times their price to account for their profit. It also smacks of false advertising, as there is only the lower listed price on the wall, and no sign anywhere that states that they will add a $30 fee if you drink it at the restaurant. If they need more money to account for overhead and profit, then just add it to the wine, that way people know exactly what they are paying when they buy it. Dont sneak in a hidden fee. My wife and I bought a bottle that was listed as $28, and instead paid $58 for it. That is just over a 300% markup. Again, would not be an issue if they were upfront with their prices instead of sneaking in the cost when they hand you the bill. My wife and I have been coming here for two years. We will not be back as long as this is the way they conduct business.

For $9, the Mimosas flow like a broken water main. You really cant go wrong with this place. My friends took me here for a burfdai brunch, and I will say I was impressed. In a city where everything is commericalized and part of a chain, I liked the philosophy of the joint. It basically built around wine, obviously. I personally dont understand it. Beer specialty shop/restaurant I can understand. I mean, beers actually taste kind of different, because they use different stuff to make it. But wine? Theyre all grapes, all the same. The only difference is that theyre bottled in different holes in the ground or theyre stomped with different feet. To each his/her own. The food itself was fine. I didnt see anything too glaringly wrong with it. But how can you mess up breakfast food? (This is coming from a guy who will nuke eggs when Im in a pinch for time.) It is a step up from IHOP, and I do like IHOP. So whatever, food is food. But trust me on the mimosas.

This place is a hidden gem especially for foodies and must try if you havent yet. Lovely combinations on the food items that will have your taste buds smile. Flatbread with fig jam and bacon, poached pear salad with goat cheese, and grilled cheese with basil and tomato dipping sauce. All delightful. Of course they have wonderful wines and beers to pair. Wine fights are great to try a variety. They often have wine tastings to find new selections. There is a parking lot next door as well as in the Halstead apt building catty corner on Walter Reed.

While they suffer from a low traffic location, Twisted Vines could compete with the Clarendon big boys for their brunch. On saturdays and sundays this small, 22-seat bistro makes a crab meat and avocado omelet that comes with perfectly crispy home fries just mom never made for me. The happy hour of $5 wine selections are all smooth and delicious--get a cheese and charcuterie board to keep you going until happy hour ends and you head to one of the great new restaurants in the strip mall just a few paces away.

I planned a brunch with friends over the weekend at Twisted Vines, and I had a fantastic experience. If the bottomless mimosas and the exquisite food werent enough, I was greeted by the front manager (Nick) who hosted and even served our table, constantly checking up on our party and accommodating our food choices. Hands down one of my favorite local spots. If youre looking for a relaxed, yet elegant brunch spot, give this place a shot. Five stars.

Brought a date to Twisted Vines for dinner and romance before heading to a show at the Cinema Drafthouse. Everything from start to finish was perfect. Reservations were easy, the staff very friendly. My date who is a wino loved the selection. I wish there had been more tapas on the menu, but the small plates were delicious and filling. I had crab cakes and my date had mussels. A five star and definite recommend.

A cozy bar with an emphasis on wine and an emerging whiskey menu. We tried 3 flights of wines, all of which we loved. I had one rye whiskey, lock stock & barrel, which I loved. We had a small plate of aged cheddar cheese and chorizo which was quite good. The staff were very friendly, engaging, and offered insights into the wines. We loved this place.

What a great find! Ive lived on the Pike for years, finally stopped in. Cant believe I wasted so much time. Great wines, but the whiskey is the real draw for me. Add on the delicious hangar steak, the great service, this place just became my new favorite place.

Its cute, especially for a date place, and the good is good, if also a little pricey. I just happened to be charged twice when I went. I called to have the second charge reversed, which they did, but without ever returning my calls.

Appetizers are consistently amazing (meat balls and goat cheese salad!) Great house wines at a good price. Noche and Duck were good, skip the mac and cheese. Planning to go back and sample their cheese menu.

A cute place to go and have happy hour with friends. They had bites to eat as well as a great selection of wine. This is also the only place I could find Red Newt brand wine in the area.
