I am a Soldier stationed out at Fort Belvoir, VA. Figured I wanted to do something different for the kids and take them to enjoy a Japanese Steak House in VA. We have been here 2 years and have not experienced one. We have been to the other duty locations out of state and was hoping for something of the same. I am sad to say that it was a very terrible experience. The energy was negative the moment we walked in. I guess the fact that we were a black Hispanic family didnt sit well with the staff. We were sat in a terrible hot location, had to wait longer than usual to be waited on and when we finally got the waitress to take our order she rushed us. Once we got the Chef to start cooking 27 dollar plates for a party of 6 the 2 kids barely got food. I asked the Chef to please give them more noodles because they did not eat the vegetables and he said no. My kids were still hungry after eating the little bit they served the. When the waitress was finally flagged down, because she did not come back to the table after our food was served, I explained to her how the kids hardly got any food and she did not care still charged us 27.00 per plate. It is incredible that our society still has such an ignorant mentally on race and social classes. It disgust me to think that I serve my country to protect people so rude and discourteous. It hurts me the most that my kids in 2015 have to experience that.

My family made a reservation days in advance as we were having people visit from out of town. We were really looking forward to going and when we arrived at the restaurant we were not even greeted by a host for over half an hour. Many people were waiting and without any update from restaurant staff people were arguing about their order to be seated. My child had to use the bathroom and the lack of response to even "Where is the restroom," was shocking, let alone "Do you have our reservation?" Or "Are we on the waiting list?" After waiting for 35 minutes with absolutely no response or greeting or apology ( no host or hostess ever even came to the stand) we left the restaurant very saddened and disappointed. Frustrated that we have a Groupon and will have to go be put through that god awful experience again or waste our money. I do not recommend this restaurant at all. Their lack of costumer service ruined our evening and I dont want the same for you.

The wife and I decided to check this place out on a Friday night after I found it online. We are sushi enthusiasts and we were looking for a new place to check out. Not too familiar with the area. We got lost because the directions were misleading for the place and the phone number they have is just an automated message with bad tips for directions (if you wait for someone to answer you will get a message that no one is available). Anyway, after asking around we make it and we are greeted and seated. The menus were terribly worn out with pen writing to scratch off what they dont serve since who knows when. The killing blow was this. I am not kidding when I say that we waited 15-20minutes and not one single server went to our sushi table to take our drink order. After that time I was so frustrated that I told my wife to grab her purse and that we were leaving. So, yeah. Dont expect me to come back any time soon.

I was very unhappy with this location. Ive been to another location and they were great. I went during lunch hour and I ordered steak and lobster. That was from the dinner menu but they accommodated me, so that was good. The cook came and he said the bare minimum. He only asked how we wanted our food cooked. And he said, "Youre welcome," when we thanked him. Usually at these hibachi places, they have tricks to entertain the guests they are cooking for, and he did none of them. Not the egg roll, not the volcano, nothing. I asked him if he enjoyed his job. He said, "Not really." Then I said, "I can tell." I was joking but I was trying to get him to be more entertaining. Once we got our food, my lobster tasted disgusting. My steak was ok. The best part of my meal was my water, my house salad, and my appetizer soup. I will never go to this location again, and possibly not this company either.

Ordered two dinner entrees. Shrimp and Steak, and Chicken and Beef. The fried rice was spread among 6 adults and two kids, but looked to be more 4 adults, the last guy was even shorted on his rice serving. The steak/chicken,shrimp was done as asked, but I was disappointed that for the high priced the serving was small. The food to me seemed to be just regular Chinese fried rice with veggies and the meats/shrimps, with a premium price, which probably fattens up their margins. I would say that you are paying more so for the show (lasted about 20 to 30mins max), than the food which in my opinion was regular chinese food. I would have to try other similar establishments to judge if the food is meant to be small portion. If I pay close to 30 for one dinner entree, I expect the servings to be adequate and not be stingy.

I took my friend here for her birthday, my treat. She really wanted a lobster meal for her birthday from a steakhouse, so we picked this place. Our waiter was extremely friendly and punctual when it came to checking up on us, which was greatly appreciated. When it came for our lunch and a show, our cook came in with absolutely no enthusiasm, we even asked him if he hated his job, just to try and liven his mood, he said no and proceeded to cook our meals. Long story short, our rice was poor, with no flavor, and her lobster was horrible, it tasted incredibly gamy . There was no show, or care. We were extremely disappointed. Never going back to this location again.

Barely any food for the price. $32 for a single serving of takeout with very small proportions. After getting out to my car I realized the soup, salad, and included shrimp appetizer were missing. Went back inside to ask for them and the hostess said they were not included in to go orders but was willing to give me either only the soup or salad since I didnt know. The steak and chicken hibachi ended up just being so-so, the soup was just water, and the yum yum sauce was not good at all. We will never be visiting nor carrying out from here again.

Overall the experience was wonderful, our server Walter was very cheerful and active in conversation. Food came out amazing. There were only a few problems. Never was asked for more to drink( only a few drinks are unavailable for refill) , my salad was taken away without them asking if I still wanted it. They need to train the waitresses to be more active with the guest.

Great customer service. AMAZING hibachi, we got the #14 steak and shrimp and it was super good. Great show, kind waitress. Desert ice cream Tempura super delicious as well. If I ever come back to around this area I would definitely eat here again. Tip: get a 30$off coupon with 16$ on groupon and save some bucks. Let the waitress know before asking for the check
