Bar none for sushi. Lets be honest -- its hard to find good cheap sushi -- but this is the cheapest of the good sushi, and thats great news because its also the best of the good sushi. Their wasabi dumplings will make you cry tears of joy. Every single roll Ive tried has been fantastic. And the portions are plentiful as far as sushi goes; Ive never left hungry. Three people can get stuffed to the gills and have a couple beers for less than $70; head over to Ra Sushi and youd be lucky to get half as much food, and it wouldnt be half as good anyway. No wonder Matsuri is always so crowded...

Had a fantastic family dinner. What a lovely family friendly experience. We had sushi, apps, nabeyaki udon soup, and my two-year old had sautéed soba noodles with veggies. Everything was delicious! And the waitress was so wonderful with our messy kid. Helped out with napkins when she insisted on eating her soup by herself, kept offering help at the right moments and anticipated any needs we had. Will go back as soon as we get a chance! Highly recommended for families with kids!

Sushi tasted very fresh. I ordered the spicy lunch maki maki special. The maki rolls were actually spicy! Most places say spicy but they arent very. It wasnt overwhelming, but still tasty. I got a side of shumai as well, and they were good. A little small, but the taste was nice. I ordered delivery through Amazon, and they forgot my drink. I dont know if that was Amazon or the restaurant, but Amazon refunded me.

maybe i have high standards because i am japanese, but i was really disappointed. the sushi was typical of most other places, but the ramen noodles i had were horrible and $11. i would of rather had a $.50 sapporo ichiban instant noodles. i think it was the first time in a while i went to a restaurant and didnt finish my meal. if you just want sushi, its ok, but dont get the ramen.

I dont give 5s lightly. Rice is a perfectly clean textural palette for the over fresh seafood. Ive had less chewy ikura seaweed wrap but temp, freshness, and quality of roe is way better than average. Soothing, cozy environ, helpful and attentive staff, well done. Spicy is balanced, fish portions are full and abundant, Ill come back for sure

This is one of the most difficult restaurants in LBaltimore to get into. The attention to detail and the friendliness of everybody working there made it a phenomenal experience. The food was extraordinary. My spouse does not eat sushi and they worked around that and made a beautiful meal for him as well. We are excited to return.

This is small place with a great crew. The fish is not the best you can find, but still really good. The rolls very tasty and creative. The prices are great, cheap enough for good lunch. Make sure to look for Bill, the owners pictures on the market wall outside.

The sushi was great. The waiters were very welcoming when I walked in. I got a sake that was supposed to be shaken 20 times before being served but tasted like it wasnt shaken at all. It was still delicious though. I will definitely go back.

My husband and I go to Matsuri every Friday were able and weve always been very pleased! The sushi is great (the Crispy Spicy Salmon is our favorite) and the service is nice and friendly! Weve become regulars and we love it!!!

Ive been a frequent diner at Matsuri for ten years and have never been dissatisfied. Their sushi is fresh and delicious, and they spend a lot of time pairing drinks, desserts, and entrees so the entire experience is delightful.

Matsuri has set the bar by which my wife and I measure every sushi restaurant we try. Theres a reason theyre still at the top. Ive yet to have a bad dish, and their beef teriyaki is the best Ive ever had.

This is good, but a bit pricy. The bento box is almost 20 bucks, but you can find similar offerings elsewhere in the city for ~15. Its good for a change of pace, but wont overtake our regular sushi joint.

Its an average sushi restaurant. Youll get exactly what you expect, nothing more and nothing less. None of the dishes are particularly inspired or noteworthy but at the same time everything is tasty.

Sushi is fresh and tasty, and the bento box portions are huge. I like their non sushi options as well. Space is a bit tight at the restaurant, but I usually get delivery (through eat24, etc.)
