korean food review
Me and my friend went for BBQ last Saturday. Two of us ordered Combo BBQ and Kimchi jeon. Sadly, they didnt serve any alcohol nor accepted BYOB, so we were initially disappointed. However, the disappointment didnt stop there. Combo BBQ has 4 different types of marinated meat. So, as you BBQ on the table grill, the grill gets lot of burnt sauce stuck onto it, making smokes and destroying the taste of BBQ. After finishing 2 different types, I started to taste too much of those burnt sauces, so asked to change grill. However, they refused to change grill at all cost, and they said they never offer such service. I asked them how are we supposed to BBQ 4 different types of marinated meat on one pan, but they just left shrugging. So, we had to finish rest of our BBQ with burnt sauces all over giving soot-like taste. Furthermore, the servers didnt come for 30 minutes, so we had to wait to get some side dishes and water filled up. I cannot believe they are so rude and careless to customers who are willing to spend more than usual (combo BBQ was 50 and pajeon was 16?. We were gonna order alcohol, so we were expecting bills to range anywhere from 100 to 150.). DO NOT GO FOR BBQ.

Ive been here a number of times and keep trying to give them another chance everytime. One time when ordering fried rice with beef they put sugar on the rice, I spit it out and asked if they had a new cook, the owner looked shocked and said yes, it was his first day. I said it was poison and they wanted to charge me even though they agreed to make another one and that he made it wrong. Another time I ordered same thing and every, and I mean every piece of beef was pure fat, no meat. When I called up in to complain they said the cook has his choice of what type meat to use and he decided this time to use rib Meat. No lie. I couldnt believe it. I ordered beef fried rice and they give me lard off of ribs and it is their choice. Today I order shredded beef soup and they put zero beef in it and the waiter said the brown noodles were the beef. Are you kidding me. Not to mention he was extremely rude as other reviewers have said on other sites as well. What criminals they belong in jail for lying. My friend stopped going years ago since he was sick of their games. I will join him and let everyone know stay clear of thus garbage. Visited May 2015

Just only one grill plate is served when ordering BBQ. I have been many Korean BBQ restaurants in Korea and NYC, but I never saw and heard that just one grill is served. If the plate is burnt, they take it to the kitchen and cook it. Better sit in normal table, and just order BBQ, and then let them cook it in their kitchen. When customers ask the qualities about meats to the owner, basically if owners have nice owner mind, its easy to explain about what they serve and which one is more fresh to be honest, instead of showing uncomfortable feature to customers. There is no say good bye, just only say hi in this restaurant. I will never go there anymore. They should learn what feedback is between customers and owner, and how the feedback can affect and improve to business.

Server denied our request for packing our food, when I paid like 20% tips for dinner. The conversation was like: "Do you want to package this for us." He was like: "You can package yourself, is there any problem?" I was shocked about the service. Maybe last time visit this place until they change attitude. After the post, I visited this place again, two weeks after. I mentioned I am expecting a better service this time so I can edit the last review. In general, the food is acceptable among others in the area. We ordered the kimchi tofu soup, a fried glass noodle and BBQ. Unfortunately, this restaurant still refuse to pack the leftover for us. But this time the other server used a better tone so I will give one more star for this place. 1+1=2

I went to this restaurant twice. Their food is not bad but their attitude and service is so bad. I dont know why but the female, an owner, is so blunt while serving customers. When my friend asked her how to sign his name on the receipt (my friend is Korean and it was the first time he went to a restaurant in the U.S.), the female owner said, "Dont you know how? Heres a section for TIP" and here you can sign." So, my friend was so angry at her attitude. He said that he will never come to that restaurant, again. Its up to you. But, there are other Korean restaurants around UB as well.

Pretty authentic and good food. The portions were not too large for the price though. Went with a small group of 4 people and everyone finished their meal + a shared appetizer and it came out to about $100 after tip. For $25/person Id expect to be a bit fuller is all (or have some leftovers). The food was great, service was good - its a nice space. Chairs are a bit uncomfortable though. Really enjoyed it overall, great authentic Korean food!

The food here is the best Korean food Ive ever had. Its so much healthier, bigger portions, and nicer employees than the Chinese place right next to it. Highly recommend everything on the menu, because Ive had almost everything on it. Start your meal off right with a cup of hot Rice Tea and finish it off right with some Red Bean Ice Cream for dessert.

Had the best time here. Brought family that had no experience with Korean food or bbq. Their skepticism turned to delight. We did BBQ which our server did a polite and helpful job of showing how to use. Side dishes were delicious and cheerfully replaced. Food was fresh and delicious. Restaurant clean. Will go again before leaving Buffalo.

In love with Korea House. Have been frequenting the restaurant and the service is wonderful. Had BBQ and the server was so helpful in showing us exactly how to grill each meat. The Kimchi Jigae is so spicy and flavorful! Cant wait to go back for dinner, tomorrow!

Best Korean spot around! Amazing food, it was mouth watering fresh, healthy. Very attentive and friendly staff. Most items on the menu come with authentic Korean side dishes (ban chan). Amazing Kim chi! I love it here. I do wish the prices were lower.

The food is excellent, prices may seem high but its mostly because its one of the only korean restaurants in buffalo. The quality of food is worth the money. If you can make it for the weekday lunch specials you get a pretty good bargain.

Korea house is good food but expect to pay a boatload for a small amount of food. The portion size is miniscule for the gargantuan price. Koreana on Niagara Falls Boulevard is better food, large portions and a price that cannot be beat.

Excellent service. A bit pricey. A few options, including Korean BBQ. Other than a couple of good tables, in separate rooms, the setup is a bit crowded, and could be perhaps upgraded. Quality of food is good, nonetheless.

The waiter wont help you unless you call him. When we are about to finish the meal, he walk by and drop the check on our table! There was a time I though I owe him a lot of money. Terrible service, wont come again.
