This little restaurant is a diamond in the rough! A few weeks ago I participated in my nursing commencement ceremony. My family drove up for the special occasion. We did not make reservations for dinner because we did not want to miss the reservations if the ceremony went on too long. The first place we went to was in Lebanon, NH. After waiting 20 min. without a soul approaching us, one of my family members went to the manager and let them know that we were celebrating a special day and that we were leaving. We all walked out hungry and disappointed. I quickly hopped on my phone and searched for places in the area and that is when I found Elixir. It is located in the historic part of WRJ and is tucked away like a little secret. When we arrived during prime dinner hours without a reservation, the hostess did what she could to squeeze us in. The waitress provided excellent service and everything was fantastic right down to the bread with fresh pesto. Everyone in my party had the cocoa dusted petits filets mignon and it did not disappoint! I will absolutely be back when I am in the area. What started out as a disaster to a joyous occasion ended up being the perfect ending to a perfect day! Thanks Elixir!

We REALLY enjoyed the food, service, atmosphere, and the owner Skip. He really cared about our experience from the minute we walked through the door. The waiters detailed care and approach showed his training specifically for this restaurant was very important and well done. This place has a great bar, and Keith, a skilled beverage specialist, makes creative and wonderful drinks. Elixir has a great selection of wines. The menu is very creative. The cuisine was delicious. We felt like everyone who worked there really cared about our experience and made sure it was a good one. I never get appetizers but could not resist trying some of them. I had seared scallops and have never had them better than here anywhere, even in Boston. Make reservations, because this is a destination for people from all over and full every night theyre open. Thank you everyone at Elixir for a great time! Keep up the great work youre doing! Cheers!

A real hidden gem. Excellent food, great drinks, very inviting and friendly atmosphere. My wife loved the fresh tasting pea soup and the special carrot-coconut soup with salmon was truly unique. The chicken was outstanding, the home made ice cream was fabulous, and I highly recomend the Arlini-tini. My wife, my sons, and I were all very happy with the appetizers, meals, and deserts (home made ice cream sandwiches - oh yeah!). Dont miss the chance for dinner at Elixer if you find yourself in the area.

We ate dinner here last night and had a fabulous meal! Everything on the curated menu looked delicious; I had the mushroom & ginger soup and the mushroom risotto, both were spectacular. I also had two cocktails with my meal, a Cupacabra and a Winter Solstice, and they were excellent in their own unique ways! The waitstaff treated our son with excitement and attentiveness (although I wouldnt recommend bringing children here) and he enjoyed his mac and cheese. We will definitely be back for dinner!

Been living for awhile now nearby. The owners are always friendly. They welcome ideas and novel drink creations. Food is good and quality is great. Stay in WRJ quirky world like this: Stay at Coolidge Hotel, eat at Elixir and take in a play at the Northern Stage theater, a concert at Tupelo music hall, (next to Elixir), and see the sights of the upper valley during the day. There are a million things to do in a few days here.

dinner recently, a little difficult to find as it is sort of buried in an industrialish area, although there seems to be another popular ribs restaurant next door, service was great and food outstanding, wife loved the pork tenderloin, scampi was a new item and was also great. filled up fast and was very busy, they are working on the parking lot so that meant we parked down along the rr tracks a way!!!

Dont let the outside fool you, this place is incredible. The food is top notch and the wine choices are very good. I had the filet with mashed potatoes and beans. It was the best filet mignon Ive ever had. My wife had the salmon which was equally amazing. We split the mussels. Im not a seafood guy, but these were amazing. Do yourself a favor and splurge on a 3 course meal here

My wife and I dined here last evening and had a great experience. Asparagus soup, Blue cheese filled Dates wrapped in Bacon (to die for), Boullibaise, Seafood Risotto all well prepared and served as if right out of the stove/oven. Great bar scene.....Highly suggest you give it a try if you have not been there...this will become a regular stop for us.....

Excellent. Great service, wonderful vibe and the food was excellent. Had the scallops and they were some of the best Ive ever had. Happened to mention it was my husbands birthday when we ordered the ice cream sandwich for dessert. They brought it with a candle, sang, and ended up giving it to us gratis. Fabulous restaurant. Cant wait to go back!

Its great to find a restaurant in White River Junction that you could easily find and enjoy in a big city. Delicious food, great atmosphere and a focus on supporting local producers and suppliers. If more places like this pop up. Im moving out of the city.

Ginger martinis are a great way to start. This is a great restaurant; dont be fooled by the modest outside appearance. Inside, the renovated interior is nice and welcoming. The food is excellently prepared -- pricing is in line with the quality.

Love the atmosphere, setting near rail road, nice old building, trendy, very friendly staff. I had a delicious moussaka Napoleon and a yummy Cosmo. My friend had the muscles and incredible French fries.

When I went the entertainment was quite good (Ed Eastridge) and my desert was extremely tasty. This would be the freid cheesecake, I highly recommend trying it.
