The pictures make the food look so good - so needless to say, we were extremely disappointed. First of all, I hate buffets that charge extra for drinks. So basically instead of $12, it costs $14. Just say it costs $14! Dont try to cheat people! My 2 year old was free for the buffet but apparently did not qualify for a free drink? Wait, what? How does that make sense?! Then I made the mistake of asking the cashier about it and got charged for an extra drink! Um..... The food was not good at all. I am willing to bet that, because it was the end of the night, we got the wonderful stale food that had been sitting out under those heat lamps for hours. This place does not, I repeat, not keep their food fresh. Im not saying it was all horrible, it was not. The rice and shrimp were really good. Probably because they need to be replenished frequently. There were quite a few things that I bet were very yummy when they were fresh, not so much while we were there. The weirdest part was looking at the prime rib that looked so incredible it made me salivate - my son and I got a piece, got some au jau, and went back to the table to eat this delectable piece of meat that would make up for the rest. Uh, wait, what? I took a bite....oh my word! You have to be kidding! It had no flavor!!! Ugh I just gave up

Extremely overpriced for what it is. 50% of the food is below average even for buffet standards. Place seems to be going downhill compared to when they first opened. Another complaint is the people up front emphasizing on a tip for a server? I can honestly say the servers that I personally have experienced are absolutely terrible. 45 min for a glass a water? At that point you will get no tip, mainly due to the fact Im already done gagging the food down and pretty much already out the door. Which brings up another thing. What is up with the ultra-cheesy explanation on the front door side as you walk in and walk out? You know, the one that explains how they are screwing the serve staff and that they only make 2.13 an hour? Is this their pathetic attempt at making you feel bad? The last 2 times I said Id probably never be back to this place. I have been here plenty of times to give an honest review. And at this point will not return. Final note: the food is subpar (some of it is absolutely disgusting), the servers are slow and dont care, and the price is literally twice what it should be even if the food was descent. Would be nice to see people just boycott this place until they pull their head outta their ass and make some major changes.

One of the best buffet in Salt Lake valley. The food, the service, the hygiene, the family friendly atmosphere are all exceptional and worth the drive even if you live 20 miles away. You can see the kitchen and the cooks in the back while standing at the food counters which is very reassuring. Dozens of choices in meats, seafood, salads, soups, desserts, drinks etc. The attendant was very prompt, kind and welcoming, and made us feel at home right away. More importantly, they dont let food go to waste and donate it at the end of the evening. Very noble and kind-hearted owners and the managers are courteous, professional and eager to help. They also gave me and our baby beautiful birthday gifts and wished us well. We have no hesitation in recommending Chow Time. And we plan on visiting many times in future.

The Chinese food is really good and some of the BBQ is good. I think the food was much better when they first opened. I wouldnt go during lunch, the food seemed stale. It appears to be pretty clean, although the condition of the booths seems to be rapidly deteriorating. One thing I dont care for is that they charge extra for drinks, most buffets include the drinks and it hardly costs anything. The service has always been great, other than the occasional cashier that seems like they dont want to be there. Overall its a pretty good place. If i had one suggestion it would be to get rid of the Mexican food and do more Chinese food. Stick with what you are good at, Mexican food isnt it. Also, the desserts need to be better. The dessert case needs to be fixed as well, it doesnt really keep anything cold.

Excellent food, great price and top-notch service! My friend and I drive here from Ogden, UT because Chow Time is so good! This is a buffet that stands out from all the others. They have separate areas with different foods in all the areas. It looks a lot like a food court in a mall. They have Chinese, Mexican, BBQ, salad bar, dessert and side dish/American food sections. The food is excellent and is a great price! The service here is wonderful! My waitress was always there to offer a refill right when I finished my drink. And for Pokemon GO fans, there are two Pokestops here! See my attached screenshot! Also attached are the business hours as of 2/23/2017: Sunday-Thursday: 11AM-9PM Friday-Saturday: 11AM-10PM

I wouldnt say 2 stars Id say about 2.5! Me and my girlfriend moved to Utah from Cali and were recommended by a friend to eat here! Well tonight we tried it out and most likely wont be returning! Only thing good in the Mexican grill was the dinner rolls, and in the Chinese portion I really enjoyed the sweet & sour chicken but thats it for that section. I actually really enjoyed there fries and mashed potatoes and gravy! BUT I will say they need to add more flavor to the food, and make sure that its nice and HOT! As for service it wasnt bad but it wasnt good! Oh and the dessert was awful to me! Just my opinion, its NOT worth the price . About $30.00 for 2 people during dinner time. Just go to golden corral !

Okay food. Not the best, but not terrible. However the service is horrendous. Takes ten minutes or longer to get your drinks, and they never come by and pick up the plates. Saddest of all, they have actually painted a giant guilt trip on the window, lecturing you about tipping your servers... Who took ten minutes to get your drink, and then never returned again to check on you. I feel bad for the employees. They are,I am sure, working hard. But there are just not enough of them. Well not return, until they remove the ridiculous lecture sit tipping, and get enough servers hired to merit a tip.

So for anyone wanting to go out to eat I recommend NEVER going to this horrible establishment. Every single table was empty and completely filthy. It took us asking a server to wipe down a table to get one, on top of that the attitude this server had about wiping the table was completely ridiculous. We never once got a refill our drinks. After asking her to get refills she rolled her eyes at us and said yeah I will get it to later. Not to mention the complete lack of selection of food they had available. Hands down the WORST experience I have ever had. NEVER EAT AT THIS HORRIBLE BUFFET!!!!

It was an okay place. The food wasnt too terrible like all of the other bad reviews. The desert couldve been a little more fresh, and most of the Cookies and Brownies were really stale. The mens bathroom looked horrible. There was leakage from the urinals and the sinks, PLUS there was pee all over the floor. It looked like the bathrooms hadnt been cleaned for a long time. However, it wasnt that bad of a place, and has descent food. Price is a little too high for what you get, but thats just business. Ill be returning if Im ever near by.
