Had a very bad experience here, so I compelled to write my first review! Hopefully no one else will go here and this place goes out of business because with the kind of food and servive not sure how they have stayed in business now. When I walked in the lady ignored me and she looked right at me. Then I waited but decided that was a bad idea so I grabbed a menu and sat down myself. Then wheh she finally decided to come over even though there was only 1 customer in the whole place I ordered the most expensive and I had hoped best thing on the menu. The Steak and Eggs, which comes with potatoes and toast. After it finally gets done and gets to me the steak was over done and leathery, the potatoes were cold after they were also over done and dry. The eggs were under done and runny when I ordered scrambled, the Rye toast I ordered was the only thing that was decent. Then while trying to eat this garbage because I was so hungry I had to out up with the waitress bugging me making me respond to her as she yelled at me from across the room. Constantly interrupting me while I was trying to read and eat. Then my stomach must have hated the food as much as my taste buds because right after I finished I was having to run to the bathroom! Upon finishing that journey I went to flush and the toilet is one of those super low water pressure toilets so of course it doesnt evem flush! Hahaha this place is garbage times 1000! **WARNING - DO NOT EAT HERE!!!**

I live just down the street and have been hesitant to try this place, since we live in a some what blighted area. However this mothers day, we thought to give their breakfast a shot. What an amazing place. We ordered the blueberry stuffed french toast and it looked like something from television gourmet. Delicious! The place was packed, and we seen that as a good sign. The only thing is that I noticed on their menu they say "2 AA large eggs" with their breakfast platters. However, when the eggs came it was clear that they were not real eggs and were substitute. Thats not a negative, as a lot of places like IHOP and Village Inn do so. I happen to try to avoid that if possible, had I known, I would have requested the real deal. But small things in the overall. I was pleasantly surprised, and I will be returning.

Friendly family-like atmosphere. Loved the decor as it reminded me of little diners on the west coast. The food was amazing. My husband had the pancakes and they taste like they came from grandmas kitchen. I had the biscuits and gravy. These biscuits would put some southern kitchens to shame and the gravy from scratch was fantastic. I am SUPER picky as I am awesome cook, so thank you for surprising us. We took pie to go...looking forward to that. We will be back again! A must try, especially if you live in Murray/Midvale/Taylorsville.

Excellent food and great staff - true comfort food ! Yet they have excellent gourmet dishes and the waitresses are awesome ! A great place the pies are so yum - one of the best prime ribs Ive had in Salt lake Valley . I just learned who the owner is and this explains things - Jeff has worked at some past and current Salt lake iconic eateries - roof at hotel Utah - gastronomy- he has brought a unique blend of what I would describe as " grandmas gourmet " meaning comfortable and has such a chill homey vibe BRAVO !

When I first arrived the restaurant was not properly organized. The staff working the counter and registers seemed completely lost. The we sat at counter and placed our order. The waitress was not very friendly. I was expecting a little more since when I was told about this place it was a "home style food and experience." I ordered the grilled bacon tomato cheese sandwich. I was not impressed at all. My brother has to sausage biscuits and gravy. He enjoyed it. I can say I wouldnt eat there again.

I just called to make a reservation and respectfully asked them if 3 was too late for their Thanksgiving Turkey dinner. In a very rude tone of voice: "3...? You want to come in at 3?" I said "Based on your tone of voice, it seems like we should come earlier. How about 2?" The lady said,"We close at 3, ok?" and hung up. Wow. Really? I guess people feel like they can act however they want over the phone. But its not good for business. Too bad. I was looking forward to trying the place.

I LOVE their homemade pies! If youre planning on going to Left Fork on March 14th (pie day)(Greek letter “π” for 3.14), plan on them being out of pies and taking what you can get as they come out of the oven. You may want to order them in advance. The diner is has a "well worn" atmosphere that could use an update. The pie shelf is fun, but its kind of a gimmick. Overall, its a fun place and great place to go with friends and family.

Food was good and inexpensive. I had fish and chips and my husband had the halibut fillet. Both were cooked to perfection. There are a variety of fresh homemade pies daily This is a traditional diner serving American comfort food with fast and friendly service. Will definitely return. We were told that their breakfast is so good that employees come in on their days off for breakfast. Plan on trying that in the future.

This is a great gem of a diner to be found in South Salt Lake. The owner of the restaurant was a Executive Chef at Market Street Grill and decided he wanted to open up his own restaurant and he really enjoyed the diner experience. 5/5 for food quality and friendliness. This restaurant does get quite busy during peak dining hours. 9am-1230pm and 5-7pm most days.

Great Soup and Pie. Better food than Applebees and Chiles at $2-3 less a plate and easier to get a seat. Sometimes a wait to be seated at lunch, but never a wait at dinner. Food similar to Red Rock Brewery. I like the burger, pull pork sandwich, chile verde burrito, squash soup, pear and blue cheese soup, Pork belly BLT, Thursday pasta specials, etc.

My family and I went there for breakfast. Food is very good and all made from scratch. The portions are large and it is inexpensive. I love the jelly they served with the English muffin (or toast) which taste homemade. I wish I could buy a jar of it. It is very yummy. A great place for breakfast and now I want to try it for lunch soon.

The food is great and it was busy but we didnt have a long wait. Terrific place for Fathers Day. Theyre bacon is great, the sausage is home made, preserves and pies homemade. I love going every other weekend when gluten free Buckwheat pancakes are amongst their specials. Meat lovers frittata is terrific....food doesnt disappoint.

This place is awesome. It has the best coleslaw and I normally dont like coleslaw. I usually order a sandwich like the tuna melt or chicken club which is excellent. The veal schnitzel is excellent along with the pies they make. Everything is excellent. Service is fast and prices are very reasonable for such great food.
