We got there right at 6 PM on Thursday. Service was great and fast. Once we seated someone brought us chips and salsa right away. I knew we were not starving, but we gorged that chips and salsa so fast, we got another bowl of chips within minutes. The salsa, I could just drink the salsa thats how good it was. Then within few minutes, a server came to our table and took our orders. What funny was, I was playing with my phone for a bit and the food is served. Wish I knew how minutes it was, but it felt like a turbo service to me! I ordered Carne Asada. They cut the meat into bite sized (thats nice!), I didnt order the beans but asked for extra lettuce. On the plus side, they added pickled jalapenos!! I thought about it and I was so happy when they served it without me asking. The Carne asada was really good. The beef cooked in perfect charcoally flavor (its a good thing). My husband got a Chile Verde Burrito. I like it too, the portion is great. He said he loved it and he could taste the green chile inside the burrito. The rice was okay, a little bland but I dont mind at all since others things on the plate was flavorful. One thing if Id like to suggest is to have salad menu. Salad where you have Romaine lettuce, grilled /roasted zucchini with meat of our choice with lime dressing and cotija added. I mean, I couldnt find a Mexican restaurant in the area that serves real salad and hope they will have it someday. Overall, we will come back. It is worth the drive :)

The restaurant was located in a strip mall. The inside was larger then I expected. The décor was definitely Mexican, with Mexican hats and decorations on the wall. There was classic Mexican music playing overhead. They had a TV with a football game playing. We were quickly greeted at the door and sat promptly. There were tables and benches. We sat at a a little uncomfortable. Our meal started with free chips and salsa. The salsa was decent and the chips were good. I ordered the Large Combination with a chile relleno, a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef chimichanga. My wife got the tacos mexicanas (street tacos). The food came out extremely fast (although there were only a couple of tables occupied). We tried 4 different street tacos. They were good and a good deal at only $1.99 each. The enchilada sauce was pretty bland. The chili relleno was good, although a little bland as well. The chimichanga was really good. The refried beans and rice were what you expect at a Mexican restaurant (nothing special here). The service was okay. The refilled my drink quickly and checked on a few times. We did have to ask for more chips twice because they forgot the first time. Overall I would call this a decent Mexican restaurant and worthy of a visit.

Los Garcia has moved to 8745 South 700 East, to the former location of Agave. For years, Los Garcia has been in a converted hamburger joint. As the popularity of the restaurant increased, it became increasingly difficult to get a table. We ended up going on weeknights instead of weekends. We went the first day they were open in the new location. We expected chaos with a new location, new kitchen and new staff, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were swarmed with attentive service people and the food was still excellent and very affordable. Other (unnamed) restaurants charge more for food that is not nearly as good. I recommend Los Garcia to all of my friends, my family, and my employees. Ive decided to have our company party there this Christmas. We couldnt do that before.

Been here more than once now, and the food we ordered (flautas and chimichangas) was pretty tasty! The rice and beans are good traditional Mexican restaurant style, more refried than the fresh mex styles in places like cafe rio. Not against rio, just saying its not the same style. The staff is friendly and helpful. Only qualms are some differences in quality in good weekday vs. weekend. Example: the deep fried ice cream we ordered the first time was great! Nice and crispy on the outside and good flavor. The second time, the corn flake coating was chewy instead. Kinda sad with that outcome, but we didnt say anything about it since the kids were getting antsy to be gone.

Ive only been here once, I got here because I really wanted chilaquiles with an egg, without even looking at the menu I asked for them but they didnt have them in the menu and offered to make them, The end result was good, I finished the whole plate, good flavor, it might not be the best but of what I had so far is definitely better than all the other Mexican food places, the salsas are really good, great service, very friendly, before me and my friend left the place we chatted a little with the cook and he seemed very passionate about cooking and using fresh ingredients. I will go back and try something from the menu.

I got the carne asada burrito, tried to trick me when they accidentally brought a carnitas burrito by saying he said it wong? Finally got the correct burrito and it was a tiny amount of carne asada and TONS of beans. Tortillas are horrible, not real authentic mexican food AT all. Taco bell would have been better. I am actually mexican and am married to a southern Cali native who is also mexican and this place is a descrace to mexican food. Our server was super nice, but over all a horrible waste of an empty stomach , WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

This place is amazing! The food is great. The staff is really friendly, and the owners care. It is locally owned. Ive tried a bunch of different things and its always fresh and delicious. You wont be disappointed. If for whatever reason, you dont like what you order, dont be afraid to mention something to them, and they can bring you something else. There are obviously tons of different ways of preparing dishes, and sometimes the way they prepare it might not be your style. I know they would want to know about it. Ill see you soon!

Why on earth are people giving this place 5 stars and raving about how good it is?? I took my family here for dinner one night trusting those eating and was so disappointed! The food was just awful! It was so bland! My beans and rice tasted like they had absolutely no seasoning. If you think this is good Mexican food you need to wake up your tastebuds! The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because the chips and salsa were really good and the staff was extremely nice. Never going there again!

We have been trying Mexican restaurants all over the valley and are usually disappointed by over salted, greasy food that you regret an hour later. This place was fantastic. When you make great, fresh food, you dont have to smother it in salt and heavy cheese. First Mexican restaurant South of Salt Lake I will go back to. Chips and salsa great! Rice is cooked perfectly. Shrimp fajitas were so fresh. Hubby got chicken flautas. They were fried, but not at all greasy. The filling was delicious.

Service was the highlight, but food was bland and flavorless. This was "Mexican" food dumbed down for meat and potatoes Americans. There wasnt a single Latino eating there, which is not a good sign. I had the combo plate. The tamale was dry, the burrito was full of refried beans and the taco just had no real flavor. And spicy wasnt even an option. You can do a lot better. If you just want bland food in high volume, this is your place.
