Im a pizza snob. I eat pretty clean, so if Im going to splurge, it better be GOOD. Ive tried Este, Setebellos, Flatbread, all the MUST-TRYs in the area. Big Apple is my Favorite. Favorite pie: Monte Cristo. Thin, crispy crust with Alfredo, mozzarella, breakfast bacon, spinach, feta and tomatoes. Its unique, and delicious. Its much more of a hole-in-the-wall feel. Their garlic knots are amazing. We try a different pie every time, and Ive yet to be disappointed. My favorite part is how flexible they are. Want half combo, half margarita? No problem. Want a half order of garlic knots? Here you go. Its the local touch that takes me back every time.

This is the best New York style pizza in Utah, and just all around delicious. I have been going here for years and have tried all other pizza places in salt lake and most of Utah worth trying. I am a big fan of pizza and enjoy all kinds.. and this is always my first choice when I need a whole pizza or just a quick slice for lunch. I have been to New York a few times and tried many different pizza places there and this is very similar. The crust is cooked perfectly with a nice crisp and chewiness that pizza is supposed to have. The calzones are also fantastic, as well as the garlic knots. I love this place!

Ive been going to Big Apple Pizzeria for many years now. My favorite thing to get are the garlic knots. They are truly excellent. The pizza is the best New York Style pizza you can get in the area and you can add a nice variety of toppings. Their pizzas are a bit more expensive than places like Dominoes but the pizza is vastly superior. If you are looking for Napolitano or Chicago style pizzas there are better places. They also have calzones that are quite good. I prefer the calzones at The Pie (much more cheese) but it is much less convenient to go there and the wait is often extreme.

We went here last night at about 9:00 PM. The place was completely empty, yet there were dirty tables. The staff didnt bother to greet us, just stayed by the counter laughing and basically ignoring us. Then the two servers started playing Rock Paper Scissors, apparently to determine who would be waiting on us. We walked out and went down the street to the burger joint. The food at Big Apple Pizza might be good, but well never be back to find out, thanks to the disrespectful behavior of the staff.

Ordered a small personal pizza the size of a plate and a calzone for... around $30 (you read that correctly) Im from the east coast and Ive had the real deal and sorry but not only was it way overpriced it was soggy and disgusting with a wet crust and the spinach calzone had a piece of spinach in it the size of a housekey and thats it... the rest was a bit undercooked to boot. Would not recommend. If you all think this is like a real NY Pizzeria you are really missing out...

Rude staff! Pizza is just OK and very inconsistent. Half the time the crust and cheese are burned. And we seem to always get jipped on the garlic knots....counting, anyone? We could deal with the average pizza since there are no other pizza joints in the Holladay/Millcreek bench area (other than chains), but the service is awful! Usually millenials who couldnt give a flip about customer service. Hopefully Slices in Holladay will be back up and running soon.

Tried the Living Social Deal and drove from Kaysville after seeing the other reviews. Great hole in the wall place. Had Greek Chicken pizza which had real toppings, not the small diced up crap in a bag. Kids had a calzone and a meatball sub sandwich that was nearly gone. Service was only so-so, but it was busy with 1 waitress. If I lived closer I would definitely call in my orders here, which I saw quite a few people do.

My first experience here was great and the pizza tasted perfect. This time , however, I received two pizzas came with crusts that were burnt. And I mean burnt as in the entire bottoms of the pizza were black and tasted like charcoal. Having worked at a pizza place years ago, I would never have given this to a customer and am quite disappointed that I paid for food that was basically inedible.

Customer service sucks, but the pizza was good. Coming from a native New Yorker, Im happy with the pizza. However, on principle, I will not be going back. Making offers and changing their mind, that looses customers. Ruined my birthday plans, and sent me marching to another place for food. Wish it had turned out differently, because I really did like their pizza.

Im so glad I decided to get pizza here. The best pizza I have had. Quality! The perfectly cooked crust is amazing, the toppings are quality. You can pay the same price going to a chain pizza place or enjoy their delicious food. I would recommend enjoying their food.

I had the lunch special that included 2 cheese, thin slices and a drink for $5. It is a good deal for decent pizza. The service was excellent: I got a refill on my soda without asking, which always wins points with me. I would return again.

Some very good pizza in this area! Ordered out in store and received our order very quickly and hot. Customer Service was also very excellent and prompt. I will be back for sure. Also very happy to recommend to others. Well done.

$43.00 for 2 of the worst pizzas i have ever had. i should have just smothered sauce, cheese and cheap sausage over $1 bills. Guaranteed it would have tasted better, and i would actually get my monies worth. East Mill Creek.

Having been born and raised in NYC, I knew this place was the real deal the moment I walked in the door. It looked right and it "smelled" right. The Pizza? Just like home. The Sauce? Very, very good! The Crust? Superb!

I just ate at this local pizzeria, instead of ordering the usual. Best pizza Ive had in quite some time! If youre in Salt Lake I strongly recommend them. I travel a lot and quite a bit of pizza. Definitely a must have!

The pizza is really good and the cheesy garlic bread was one of the best Ive had. Not giving 5 stars at this point because both pizzas we ordered we a bit overcooked. I will be back though and might adjust my review.

best ny pizza in slc. also best pizza in slc. much better than este, the pie, the pie hole, freewheeler, etc. still too expensive (~$2.50/slice), especially compared to amazing giant slices of nyc pizza for $1.

Absolutely loved it! Im told this is the closest authentic NY pizza around. Never been there to compare but was very impressed. Service was quick at lunchtime and quite friendly. Will definitely go again.

Im a native New Yorker and this place is the real deal! I ordered a pie with extra cheese and it reminded me of the pizza I grew up with in Manhattan. My new go to spot for sure.
