When we got to the place it was about 8PM, but we were waiting for almost 10-20 minutes to place an order!!! That is outrageous and it should never take that long to get an order placed! I never had to wait that long before when it was very busy before! And it was slow. They ignored me until they took care of their current load. But they still could have taken care of us since it was not that busy. I wanted to order the jumbo size but they said they only had the large size. I asked because of the inconvenience caused if we could at least get something complementary and he said it was too expensive to make or give. On top of that we got lousy cups for water. I used to love this place and location for pizza back when I went to school and would visit for a slice at lunch, but this time when I went with my cousin because I wanted him to try the Sourdough pizza at this place…. Well... It’s not like I remember it and even though my cousin got to enjoy it, it did not seem to seem to be as glorified when I had it so long ago like 5 years back. I think management was changed and that is the reason why it has gone down the drain in quality. I could have made a better pizza doing it homemade! It did not feel $22 dollars really made this pizza worth it. Poor Quality. I expect more for my money.

I was told Id have to wait 9 minutes for a slice of pepperoni at less than 30 minutes before 12 noon. My lunch break is short, I can only go to places within walking distance. Pier 49 is the closest for pizza but I wont waste my time with it anymore, Ill walk the extra distance to Maxwells or Pie Hole for pizza from now on, theyre never out of slices at lunch time. EDITED: I decided to give them another try. I walked over there at 11:45AM ( i.e. they should have lots of slices ). There were two people in line, and the entire left side of the pizza warmer was empty ( i.e. there was no pepperoni ). I was told theyd have one out in 2 minutes, so I purchased 2 slices and waited. 5 minutes later, its just coming out of the oven. A couple minutes after that they guy at the oven puts two slices ( on top of each other, they never asked ) in a box and slides the box across the counter toward me. No "thanks, sorry for having to wait", nothing. I walk back to my office, open the box and the pieces are stuck together. I ate the two slices ( together because there was no separating the sloppy mess ) and guess whats in the box under where the pizza was?... two eye lashes not my color. SO FRICKEN GROSS. Why did ever give them another chance.

I am in from out of town & wanted pizza delivered to my hotel room. The front desk gave me the brochure and recommended it. First - I called and there was no answer. Then, noticing it said "order online" on the brochure, I figured I would try that. No where on the website could I find any where to order. So, one last try - I called again. Someone answered immediately but asked if I could wait a minute. I wasnt put on hold, the phone was set down and I could hear the noise of the place in the background - it didnt sound busy. No talking. Just some things being put on the counter by the phone and the background music. I waited. and waited. and waited. When the time on my phone hit 10 minutes I gave up. I have to wonder - how do you actually place an order for delivery????

When I went into this place I asked if they had gluten free pizza (because the website says they have). The guy looked at me and said: "well right now we dont have any sliced pizza ready to go" - I looked at the pizza sizes and said "thats fine, I can wait, can I have the personal size gluten free . . . (which was shown as the smallest of their pizzas) before Id even finish my intended order, the guy said? "well, its too expensive" WTF I was well-dressed, polite and clearly I wasnt asking for the price . . . and EVEN if I looked like I didnt have the money, it would be extremely wrong for the guy to say that!

I love their pizza. I really do. BUT!! This location has been closed 3 times during normal business hours with no explanation! Once when out-of-town friends were visiting, another time when family was in town (and another time when it was just me). Both times I had raved to them about how good this pizza was going to be only to find the doors locked and the lights off. What gives Pier 49? Id love to share your pizza with people, but you really need to get your ish together.

Excellent place to grab good pizza for a good price. My only reason for a less than five star rating is because some things are not in good shape and it affects the experience a bit. All the wood framed chairs are wobbly and feel like theyre going to fall apart, although Ive never actually seen it actually happen. They have tables with more solid metal chairs though. I eat here regularly and always enjoy it.

Without a doubt this is my favorite gluten-free crust and Ive always received great service at this location! I ordered for delivery today and they were out of gluten-free crust. The owner offered to go pick-up a crust from another location, called to keep me posted on the progress of my order and even offered his cell-number if I have any questions. All of that just for a pizza...very impressive!

Ill preface this by saying I have one been here on one occasion. As other reviewers have mentioned, this place was nearly out of slices at lunch time. The only offering was pepperoni and sausage. The pizza itself was great and the price is affordable, but the selection and the customer service stands for improvement.

There are no restrooms for paying customers. Are they afraid of the homeless? If they pay, then they can have access. Isnt that what they seem to imply? The Ghirardelli pizza is my fav. Get it with the white sauce instead of regular red.

NEVER GET PIZZA HERE. We ordered delivery since it was raining out and it took them ONE HOUR AND 15 MINS. We live right at downtown so it should take ten minutes tops to get here. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Dont waste your time.

The gluten-free crust is tasty, but its pretty small. If youre dining with more than one gluten-intolerant person, youll each likely need your own pizza. The service girl was a bit curt, but other than that, it was enjoyable.

I cant even place an order for pick up! No one answers their phones! Ive tried all this morning, several times last week to place an order but no one answers and theres not even a voice mail box.
