COCKROACHES...It all started on Saturday afternoon when two unsuspected victims decided to be adventurous and get some of that delicious taiwanese food everyone is talking about and Yelp has so many great reviews on. We ordered carry out and went to pick it up, the place was dingy and clutterred, first thing that stood out that instead of a plastic bag our food was placed in cardboard box (the one you would buy produce in). But this review is not about interior design or their carry out packaging. This is about bugs... When we got home we decided to unpack everything quickly so we could start enjoying our exotic feast. At this point we got attacked by a cockroach, not tiny baby one but the big oldtimer. As we started looking for a paper towel to kill it with it tried to escape with his friend, that all this time was hiding under a box of potstickers. Anyway, we got them before they could make our appartment their new home and start having babies. As we were throwing everything out we found a third one smooshed by a box with pad thai. The Tea Rose did us a favor here, we did leave them a tip after all. Of course, first thing we did after fighting for our living space with couple of cockroaches we called the place and asked for a refund, we talked to the manager and needless to say, she didnt want us to come in to get our money back. The saddest thing here is that they WERE AWERE OF THIS ISSUE. Yes, they know that their restaurant is infested with bugs and they still choose to serve people here. This place has so many good reviews, cult following, if you will, proclaimed to be the best Thai restaurant in Utah and the owner still doesnt have the integrity to close the doors for a week and fume the joint. She chooses to put her customers health at risk, digusting... I really hope that you read this review and avoid this place at all cost, unless you dont mind some special protein garnish on your curry of course.

Outstanding Thai food. And like some other reviewers have noted their heat scale is not like the average restaurant (a.k.a. weak). This place has decided to stay true to its heritage and not succumb to the "norm". I got the Green Curry at heat level 2. It was very hot. By the time I had finished it off as leftovers, my heat tolerance had gone up significantly and only over the course of a couple days. Next time I go I want to prepare and then challenge myself to heat level 3. I cant imagine their level 10 and hats off to anyone who has ate more than a couple bites of anything near their heat level 10. For the average person you might want to stick with level 1 and supplement some heat as needed with their very tasty sauce they have on the table that is a level 2. The Pad Thai was some of the better Pad Thai that I have had over the years. Be forewarned, their heat scale is not a linear thing, it is more exponential. The difference between heat level 1 and 2 is huge. Highly recommended for very good Thai food and even more-so if you often are disappointed with how not hot "hot" food is at a lot of other establishments. Also, the waitress was VERY nice and extremely helpful. She helped prevent me from ordering something I probably wouldnt have been able to eat. It was very much appreciated. The food was very flavorful and I wouldnt have been able to enjoy that aspect of it if it was too ridiculously hot.

This time when I went back, I tried a 5 out of 5 spicy level, the highest on the menu. "Dont do it" the waitress said. "Youre crazy" my friends said. "This will be hilarious" random internet strangers said. Have you ever decided it would be a good idea to pick up a burning ember of charcoal and stick it in your mouth? Because that is how hot this curry was. Real men cry sometimes right? Because I certainly shed a few tears amidst the beads of sweat streaming down my face. But real men also dont quit, especially when internet strangers are watching you eat via livestream on Periscope. So perservere on I did until I cleaned out the bowl. Have you ever then decided it would be a fantastic idea to drop your drawers and take a sit on the biggest fire ant hill you can find? Because thats how it feels about 3 hours later when your body decides to purge this lava curry from hell from your stomach. I can only say I did some things Im not proud of to relieve the pain I had brought upon myself. Also, the spring rolls are delicious. Overall experience 10/10. Will never attempt again.

been coming here a long time. the food is amazing. on the weekends only. when i started coming to this place during the week i noticed alot of things different about the recipes about the crew working the food. this restaurant is definitely not the same AT ALL on the weekdays. i love this place but i will tell everybody i know from now on to never come here unless its saturday. thats it. and will never bring my friends here again on a weekday. theres to much variation not enough standardization in the meals. order a spicy level 1 one day and get it again the next the levels are polar opposite. today was the final straw for a 2 star review. waited over an hour with out party. half our table wasnt served because the food went to some other table. then when the rest of our table got our food it was straight up missing ingredients. pineapple curry no pineapple. spicy level 1 no spice.

My wife and I went here on a double date. One of the other couple is vegetarian and likes this restaurant for its vegetarian options. This doesnt take away that there is also great meat options. The food was great. Quite spicy. I went for spiciness 0,5. Which was still quite spicy. The service was great. They forgot to bring us our cokes, but once they did they were very sharp on the refills. Food portion was good with however much rice you want. After having been finished with the meal and a post meal conversation of over an hour they were still offering refills. The building outside looks like a crap house, but inside it looks good. Definitely one of those very good restaurants which is not immediately spotted from the road.

Awesome Thai food! My wife and I (have spent 60+ days in Thailand) and one of our best friends who is Thai went here. They are serious about their heat scale. I ordered a 1 curry which was pleasantly spiced and flavorful; my wife ordered a 3 which was hot (farang hot) and very good; our Thai friend order a 9 it was really tasty but after 5 bites blazing hot. Normally, we try and try at Thai restaurants to order "Thai hot" for him and these guys were only the second in the US he has ever been to which pushed it past "Thai hot". It was awesome but he said next time he wouldnt go past 6. The service was nice but the atmosphere isnt awesome as it is a little more like a pizza joint but who cares.

The service was awful, just terrible. The junior or high school server never asked if we wanted drinks or suggested if we were interested in a dessert. The server just brought the receipt in the middle of our meal and walked away. They seem to be skimish on the meat portions. We had to order a side dish of extra beef to one of the plates we had ordered. It was nice and cool outside and when we walked inside the restaurant, it felt like they had their heating system on in the middle of the summer. Even the server was fanning themselves. Therewas no circulating air. Most likely we will never eat inside again. The service left a horrible taste in our mouth. Not worth it.
