Ive been to this Lehi/American Fork IHOP multiple times. Lets start with the obvious issues first: 1. This location appears to be understaffed. 2. The waiters and waitresses have mostly been emotionless. Few are positive. Ive also heard about the wages the employees are paid at this particular location and it doesnt seem match the national IHOP standard. This may contribute to the reasons why the majority of staff isnt very keen on waiting tables. 3. Most of the waitresses and waiters seem to stand around while a few hard workers pull on the ropes and steer things around. There were a few times that I had great service. However, the majority of visits werent very good. The hard workers always stood out and got the good tips. 4. The manager is rarely seen, at least I havent seen the manager. Probably in the back, counting money or something, who knows. Relax, its a joke. But, the place gets busy and the employees are over cumbered, still no management to help out. Over working the hard workers usually results in loss of great service. Possible Solutions: Fire the incompetent staff, train the management, hire new management, raise the hourly pay offering of the waiters/waitresses and reward the hard workers. The reason for lack of staff is seemingly due to the possible incompetence of current management, employees or both. Why come to this location when a drive away the other 24hr breakfast food chain offers fast clean service, higher wages and staff that works together to ensure that youre taken care of? You know a place is good to its staff when the service during multiple visits stands out as an overall good or fantastic. Organization is key, a key that this location is definitely missing. Ill update my review once I see progress, otherwise this is it. Someone needs to push this place into the right direction. I dont mean for this to sound like an attack on anyone, but I hope it instills the urge to work on things and improve the flow. I used to love coming here, what happened?

Every time I have been here (maybe a total of 2-3 times before this) the service has been crap, but this last time topped it all. Stopped here late Friday night, and there were maybe 2 other tables seated..so not a crazy busy night, right? We noticed that the table across from us had two guys trying to wave down servers to get their check for a few minutes...we should have taken this as a sign. Our server took at least 15 minutes to get our order in, then we barely saw him after that. But that isnt the part that made us angry. After eating, we asked for our check. We asked this man twice. He completely ignored us and relayed the message to a passing server, who also went about her business. Apparently someone had lost an ipod in the restaurant earlier, so that seemed to take priority over anything else. We had ANOTHER server come and ask us if we needed anything, and so we asked AGAIN for the check, only to have her go back to OUR waiter, tell him to get our check, which he relayed to someone else AGAIN. This all happened as we watched and heard everything, it was ridiculous. We left, no tip, done. Right? No. I had paid with a gift card and left no tip. Checked the balance on my gift card this morning, and it seems they added an extra $2 to my check that night. This location is horrible, even at 2 am. Im never going back, and I will fight for that money back. $2 may not seem like a lot, but this place doesnt deserve a single extra cent from me, and its just not right.

I would not give this any stars if I could. I went to the Ihop in Orem many years ago and after going twice refused to go back as the wait was ridiculous for our food, and it was always cold. My husband wanted to try the Ihop in American Fork as hed never been to the one is Orem. Well, it was worse! We should have been warned when we walked in at 4:30 pm, the waitress said to us there would be a wait as they were busy. There werent even 10 tables filled yet in the whole restaurant. It took a while to get our order taken, but it was over 30 minutes to get our food. The waitress came to our table and said our food would be late, they were busy. I said as long as its not cold. By the time we got our food, it cool or cold! All of it on both plates. My husband noticed there wasnt any whipped topping on his pancakes and asked the waitress when she went by why. She said they were too busy to put it on, so they sprinkled powdered sugar. WHAT! Too busy to bring the correct order! As we were waiting, our side ended up with 6 more tables of groups, ALL waiting for their food, or to even have their order taken. And the restaurant wasnt even full yet. If this Ihop cant even handle the few customers they had, how do they stay in business. We will NEVER go back and will make sure our family and friends know how bad this place is!

Not my first bad experience here, but by far the worst EVER, anywhere. We were seated quickly, waitress came right over for our drink order, brought out waters, and came back to take the order. Last time we saw her all night. Food was delivered by a different waitress and kitchen staff member. Didnt check to see if the order was correct (it wasnt), didnt ask if we needed anything else (we did), and ran off like they couldnt wait to get away from us. No one even returned to ask if everything was OK (pancakes were undercooked, along with the flat-out wrong parts of the order). Was able to flag down a different waitress about 10 minutes later to get the issues with the order fixed. Manager walked past the table several times without even looking our way. Staff was sitting across the restaurant socializing, not paying attention to guests. When we were done we had to wait at the cash register for several minutes before the manager came to ring us up. Didnt ask how everything was, could we do anything better, nothing, just gave me the total. Swiped my card, put a 0 on the tip, he still didnt ask. Will not be returning to this store anytime soon.

Found hair on the syrup bottle right where the syrup pours out. Waitress last night was way too busy at 2am to care or replace it. Asked twice if they have maple syrup and I was told it was on the table labelled old fashioned syrup - I then ordered pancakes believing her and it was house syrup and not maple syrup. The waitress swore black and blue it was the real deal but there is no fooling this French Canadian. She came out with the bottle and it was labelled maple flavored syrup with everything else in there save pure maple syrup. What an idiot! Honestly, the real deal tastes so much better with only one ingredient in it and much better for you too. Other IHOPS sell the real syrup in small sachets that cost around 1.50$ - this one obviously has no idea what real maple syrup is. All in all: crappy experience coated with a server who had a suck full attitude with a hairy syrup bottle. Shouldve taken a pic and posted on social media. Never going back, no thanks.
