Thought by the reviews it would be pretty good and I was so dissapointed. First clue...I asked the owner if they had shiitake mushrooms and he told me American people dont like shiitakes, but rather the domestic mushroom they get in the store. Then I ordered the pan fried pot stickers and instead of being pan fried, they were deep fried. Big difference! The Hot and & Sour soup was bland and lacking the elements that make a good one (pork, wood ear mushrooms, no sour (lemon), no heat (red pepper)). Entree was so bland and had standard American veges...diced carrots and zucchini. Brown sauce was tasteless and shrimp were half the size of 41-50s and very sparse. Ive had the fortune to eat at some of the best China towns around the country and Europe and like to think I appreciate and know good Chinese food. This is by far the worst Chinese food Ive had in a long time and definitely not going back. I am new to the area so will try someplace else next time.

I love this restaurant. I love how they make my shrimp fried rice without soy sauce and how the shrimp is cooked perfectly and melts in my mouth. I love everything Ive tried here. The sesame chicken is the best Ive ever had. The shrimp fried rice is the best in DFW. The curry noodles are amazing. I have not had anything bad here and this restaurant got an A for cleanliness. The service is great too, the owner of the restaurant and his wife are lovely and remember us. The ONLY negative thing that I can find to say is that the portions may be a bit smaller than other restaurants. It is still more than you can eat in one sitting, just not enough to eat all weekend if you only get two meals. But quality > quantity.

Very happy to have found this place. Called in for pick up and the person over the phone very pleasant. The beef chow fun and sweet and sour chicken so delicious. You can taste the "wok mei" in the beef chow fun. Definitely a place Ill be returning. Since I ordered take out they separated the sweet and sour sauce so the chicken doesnt get soggy. If you enjoy Cantonese fast foo, try this place out.

My fiancée and I have found that this is the best tasting (and most consistently good) chinese food in Plano. With other places such as Sichaunese Cuisine, we have had issues with receiving incorrect orders entirely, and receiving inconsistent quality of food. Happy to say that we have never had a single complaint about the food or service provided by Mei Mei China. Mei Mei #1! :D

Amazing food for a low price! I loved everything Ive tried so far! Spring rolls are huge too! Chicken is fresh, not overcooked, and their sweet and sour sauce is perfect. You must try their cheese puffs! A little hard to understand over the phone but otherwise theyre super nice and friendly.

Love the mom and pop restaurant. My wife and I have had allot of oriental food and found Mei Mei to be the real deal. I love his sense of humor and they treat us great. I would recommend them to anyone who wants great food from honest down home folks.

Awesome food, very friendly staff, short wait. The way they cook the chicken is crisp and delicious. Food is 5/5 but ordering for delivering over the phone is 1/5. It takes awhile, they talk over you, ask if you have cash when paying by credit card.

Been coming here for years and it doesnt disappoint! Generous portions, especially if ordering takeout. The sesame chicken is a stand-out, and the wait times are usually quite good. If an affordable meal is desired, look no further than Mei-Mei.

Hands down the best General Tsos chicken I have ever eaten. I get the wonton soup, fried cheese puff and the egg roll. Amazing taste and the price is great. Owners are so cute together. I sit down and she knows exactly what I want.

I ordered cashew chicken fried rice and it was horrible the rice was burnt and the chicken had bones and cartilage I wont be spending another dime here Im to yo the area and my first oriental experience was horrible in my new area

I ordered the Hunan chicken for lunch, was fantastic! The egg roll was homemade and the best Ive ever had, it also came with a sweet cream cheese puff that was delicious. Good quality food good price great place.

One of our favorite local Chinese take out establishments. The owners are nice people who will come around and say hello when you eat in. Mei mei also serves a few Vietnamese dishes, such as pho.
