Yucatan Taco Stand is a great restaurant if you are craving something delicious - and quick! But, dont expect to sit down and be served - all orders will be done at the register as you first walk in, sitting at the bar or patio window. This isn’t a big problem; however, I’d be inclined to order another round of margaritas if asked while lounging on their long patio. The tower of nachos are my favorite dish to order and share with friends - they are HUGE - piled high and packed with toppings. Tacos are commonly ordered - they arent called a "taco stand" for nothing - and I must say the Carne De Puerco (pork) tacos get better each and every time I visit. With their grand selection of tequila, you should order a margarita, tequila flight, or even shot of tequila - right from the tap! They have many enticing entrees and many crafty concoctions to choose from, but I simply swing by for a quick bite and a margarita or two. Then, Im ready take on another night on the town!

With a name like Yucatan Taco Stand, one of the things I would expect to be great is the TACOS. This was definitely not the case. First you have to order at the counter, get a number and find your own seat. For something as simple as tacos, it takes a long time! I ordered the fried fish and pork tacos. I would like to comment on the taste of the filling, but it was hard to find through all the lettuce on top. It took a good two bites before I actually found the meat! Also, at almost $4 a taco, it was definitely not worth it. The tequila bar part of the restaurant seemed to be better, Great assortment of tequilas and margaritas to choose from and a great outdoor patio in which to enjoy your drink. Unlike the food side, the bartenders work hard to get your drink out as soon as possible. I tried the Coconut Margarita and it was excellent! I really enjoyed the flakes of fresh coconut on top. As for the tacos, next time Ill stay home and make my own.

The best thing about this restaurant is the location and ambiance as its right on the Waterway. Came here on a Tuesday night and had their $2 tacos and appetizer with queso, guacamole and salsa. They also had live music which was nice. They have heaters for the outside dining tables but a few didnt even work. The tacos werent that great and had no flavor. We literally had to drown our tacos in their "popular" hot sauce which is supposed to be at each table according to their menu. But it wasnt. I had to go hunt for some. The sauce also wasnt that great. It actually tasted like the sauce in taco bell packets. Yeah, not special at all. Also as the title says, this is a taco stand so you order and pay at the cashier. Then you sit at your table and they bring it out. So be prepared to not have a waiter that will bring napkins, refills, sauce etc.

looks like a decent place to have a drink and kill some time. it basically over looks the waterway. my wife and i made a mistake and decided to eat their food. the chips were so-so and the salsa tasted like nothing. how is that even possible? the green salsa had a slight flavor of tomatillo but was still very bland. our entrees came out 30 mins after we ordered. we ordered two steaks but were not given steak knives or any silverware at all. ive never eaten steak with my bare hands but maybe i should. the steaks were two different sizes. for twenty dollars you get a 6 oz steak and a tiny bit of vegies. the coconut margarita tasted weird. i got a refund for everything ($53)and did not even try the steaks. we ended up eating some really good sandwiches at Which Wich for $15 instead.

Bad experience. Had nachos, fish taco, crème brulé and a Mojito Nacho is a good concept dish, but too much fat and grease: sour cream, avocado, and cheese may attribute to future AR visit Fish taco and crème brulé are good so no need to detail. The Mojito, however, has been the worst drink ever. The drink is too sour, no sugar, and bitter mint. There is even yellowed limes in the drink. Overall, said drink kills my palate. Anyone who has dabbled in mixology knows how a Mojito SHOULD taste: the satisfying sweetnes of sugar combines with the acidity of limes and a hint of lightly bruised mint. Hope the restaurant improve its Mojito so no poor souls will have to taste what I experienced.

I was very surprised how rude the bartender was. I asked for two drinks and appetizers. She openly ignored me. She refused to make eye contact. When I left the bar and seated myself she then came over to the table and proceeded to tell me she couldnt understand me. Im very disappointed for my first visit to this restaurant. It seems as though none of the staff cares about the customers. At least for myself and my guest. This is my first visit to this location and you can rest assured this will be my last visit. I will not waste my hard-earned money at a restaurant where the staff refuses to respect me.

The food was good. The ordering process and ladies were sweet. BUT...we never received part of our order!!!! I asked 4 different people to check on it. I asked 4 different people for the manager. Then after all the food we actually received was finished and taken away...we stayed for a while waiting for the manager...then asked another man and he said the manager was probably too busy. We had to get back to a Convention so we left without ever receiving the remainder of our order...although the people were sweet, they werent helpful and that level of service and lack of care is unacceptable!!

Being from New York, didnt understand the process. Expect to get seated and served. At this place you have to place order and then find your own seat. You need to pay tip before getting served. I only left $1 tip on order, expecting to leave tip at table. As a result, they did not bring my appetizer. Maybe it was a mistake, but I suspect intentional. Since no service, if you want drinks need to go stand at bar and wait for bartender to serve you. He was not too friendly. Food was good though, even though I didnt get everything I paid for.

Saturday night not that many people around the bar and it took them 10 minutes to get our drink order. We waited for bartender to take our food order for 40 minutes, finally got tired of waiting and got up and ordered at the register, THEN the food took another 30 minutes to arrive. The cherry on top? Even when my date and I both ordered different food, we were both sick to our stomachs from it!!!! Will definitely NOT return. Pricey too. $50+ meal for two where all we ate were tacos and a paleo bowl???!!!! Only the drinks were worth it.

I used to love this place. I went with a friend last night on a Saturday. It wasnt even packed, very slow for a weekend. The tacos took a while to come out but the worst part was the bar. My friend went to order two drinks and upon finally getting service, the bar tender walked away to text on his phone and then came back to make the drinks. What we got in return was not what we ordered and had waited 25 minutes for two menu items. It was very disappointing to take a friend and talk a big game about a place that underserved.
