I am completely blown away by the staff at The Refuge Bar & Bistro. I had an engagement dinner here with my fiance and the staff went above and beyond to make it the most magical evening ever! Not only did they cover the back chalk board wall with our congratulations, but they held a table for us with flowers and also made my future wife a special drink with her favorite Vodka. Besides the reserved table and amazing staff, the food was beyond perfect and the drinks were perfectly priced. I wish I was made of money because I would of easily tipped $1000.00 for the type of event that they held for the 2 of us on our engagement night.

Fun, sometimes loud, but great selection of craft beer on hand. I wish I could share more, but I think I had a little bit too much fun hanging out at The Refuge. Its definitely worth stopping by. I cant remember the Managers name (he looks like a chubby Jesus), but he was knowledgeable, accommodating and took care of our group like we were the only ones there. From what I could tell, the theme of The Refuge is 1920s America just before Prohibition. Not that it matters, but worth mentioning.

Here on saturday night. Noce place, good drinks. But turn down the live music. The space is amall. There is no reason for my ears to be ringing and cant even have a conversation with the person sitting next to me. Definitely check out the place if you are in the area. Just keep in mind that when live music is playing you can not hear anything other then the music. Other then that its a good place.

Small but quality draft beer selection, excellent cocktails from the mixologist, the food is good and the atmosphere is very inviting. I have been here a few times and have not been disappointed. I had a burger and fries this time. The burger was good but the fries are amazing. I dont know how they make them crisp on the outside but soft inside. Never had fries like that ever.

Wow, simple and amazing. The BEST bartenders and drinks in the area. Order the Walnut from award winning Walter or the Majestic Blue or their twist on a Manhattan. House made whiskeys and mixology that will blow your mind. Hopefully more b.s. bars in the Woodlands take notice to what these artists are doing. Oh... and great LIVE MUSIC. Cheers

This Place is incredible. After ordering the pork belly nachos as an appetizer, everyone at the table decided we would just order a bunch of stuff so we can try everything. The Mushroom flatbread was a real standout. I had a drink that was kind of like a mint jump called a Whiskey Smash that I could drink to infinity.

Mom and Pop owned. Their bartenders are true mixologist creating unique drinks. The owners always go above and beyond to make sure their customers are having the best time. Their chef makes some of the tastiest plates that will make you want to come back for more.

Ive been here twice, both times the service was pretty slow even though they werent busy. I enjoyed the cocktail I got the first time but when I ordered it the next time I came in it didnt taste the same. Way too expensive for the standards they hold.
