Nice happy hour. Good food. But The place is empty any time Ive been. Normally I sit at the bar and receive good service. Last time I went I meet a friend there and she decided we sit in the dinning area. We where waited by a lady Ive never seen before and she was pretty bad. We had to keep reminding her to bring us what we ordered. The point where I was really put off what where I ordered a desert that was WAY to frozen to eat... I let it sit for about 10 min and then attempted again. When I tried to cut into it the desert when flying every where. The server asked if she could replace it and at that point I was turned off.. I didnt have time to wait on it (it took 20 min to get it in the first place) and I didnt have time to wait for it to defrost). When she brought me my check she told we that instead of taking the desert off she didnt charge me for one of my sakes. I think that would have been fine if there where the same price. But the sake was 3$ and the desert was 4.50$.... I can see if I even got to taste the stupid thing but it ended up on the floor. its only 1.50 difference but I hate when companies try to get over on you. End of story I have not been back and probably wont.

I just had my first experience here and it was Ok. I was able to get the Shaggy Dog roll which is very similar to my favorite roll style for a Happy Hour Price they have until 7 p.m. Every day they have at least 4 specific rolls featured for a happy hour price. Today was Shaggy, Burning Man, Red Dragon and Igloo rolls. The Crab Puffs were Not prepared well and like they commonly are in the U.S. Ramune, Japanese soda is available here in Strawberry, Orange and Blueberry flavors. I had the Strawberry one and needed a mans strength and expertise to follow the directions on the bottle and pop it open for me though xD It is much sweeter from the bottle..they bring it out with a glass of ice and filled 1/4 way with dry soda so you end up drinking a flavored dry soda, although it may be traditionally enjoyed that way..I prefer it as is x3 The Beef sticks, Shaggy Dog roll and Strawberry Ramune is all I can recommend so far

Akashi & Asahi (the other sushi place in the plaza) has comparable prices (some items are more expensive in Asahi and vice versa) However Akashi has a much wider selection of sushi, both traditional and fusion. Akashi does much more extravagant presentation of sushi. If your table order 2 or more, they are usually combined onto a larger plate with decoration. The most obvious difference between them is that Akashi has a Chinese wok menu, and a very good one. You could have a cheap wok meal for lunch and then share a few sushi plates with friends at night. Akashi is styled like a fancy bar while Asahi a Japanese themed sushi place. In Asahi you even get servers greeting you with Japanese. So if you want the whole Japanese package, go to Asahi. If you want your friends to more likely enjoy the food, go to Akashi with a much wider selection of food.

I used to like this place.. I assume because things are slow their customer service is suffering??? I ordered a fushion roll and went to eat a piece but there was a fly crawling across it. I informed the waitress and her response was that theres nothing they can do about it because its an "environmental thing". Are you serious? Who wants to eat raw fish with fly larvae on it? Not to mention it took 30 minutes to receive my drink (that was too sweet), place an order, and I had to ask another waiter to step in. Long story short, I left without eating anything! The proper thing to do was to remake the roll. Maybe my expectations are too high? The waitress asked me to show her which pieces the fly crawled across!

We stayed in hotel across the street for a couple weeks, and we ate here several times during our stay. This is one of those rare places that does both sushi and Asian cuisine well. Staff is great and attentive also. They have an awesome and extensive happy hour food and drink menu that offers great options and prices. Everything is very reasonably priced on the normal menu as well. If you like late 90s to early 2000s pop music, youre in luck because they play that exclusively in the background. Decor and atmosphere are well above expectations! They also have Eat 24 capabilities if you dont feel like venturing out. This place offers Rice Village quality at approximately half the price.

This is your standard Americanized, generically "Asian" cuisine with a mix of different dishes from different countries. Nice ambiance, clean, new, good service. We went for lunch. Portions were small. Two basic rolls with soup and salad cost $9.50, and the selection of rolls was small. The shrimp tempura couldve been lighter. The Thai curry was relatively basic and even went a bit overboard on the ginger flavor. The wonton soup had wontons made with dumpling skins (too thick). I did like the miso soup and the salad, though, and the sushi rolls, though small, tasted fine.

This place is heaven sent for those wanting Asian food in TMC. The lunch specials are wonderfully priced, great portion sizes, and delicious! My lunch always comes out promptly, fresh and hot. The food is very flavorful and well seasoned. I havent tried any wines or sakes, but I plan to! The atmosphere is fantastic and so is the staff. I honestly couldnt be more pleased!

I had a to go order and waited 30 min when quoted 15. The food was subpar, my tempura veggies were soggy. The atmosphere was nice though. They still have some kinks to work out because I noticed a few tables waiting to get attention of wait staff etc.

Better than Asashi next door, who had worst service ever. Akashi is super friendly. I come every other day. Staffs are super nice and friendly. This place has been my usual after work dinner spot. Go to this one instead of Asashi.
