So galaxy on Cary went from being one of my favorate places to eat to being the worst service ive ever gotten .. my favorite thing they no longer serve aka the tuna steak my 2nd favorite the Mac n cheese they changed... so I order crab cake an steak .. Horriable steak was as thin as paper, crab cake was greasy an the A1 had water in it.. my boyfriend accidentally orders chicken fried steak thinking it was chopped steak ... so I tell the girl hey I will still give u a decent tip but since we DID NOT EAT anything but the appetizers could she take the others off .. she snorts at us rolls her eyes an says youve been eating your food now u want it off?? I remember u guys every time u come in I have to do something to ur check! Dontworry ill take iit off. HOLD THA HELL UP!! 1ST OF ALL I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH FOOD BEFORE THERE.. 2ND its be atleast 6 months since I last ate there an 3RD I ate 2 bites of.the ccrab cakes thats it!! So ... I get my check $9.54 so I put exactly $9.54 on the table an write on the reciept TIP: You were going to get a $5 tip for the trouble til now, now u get $0.00 because of ur nasty attitude the food SUCKED u could have saved urself with customer service so thank your attitude .. customer service always comes first! An I spoke to the manager an left so then my boyfriend spends 5 mins puking from the salad he ate!! So galaxy u have lost a customer an the pregnant chick with the long hair an the rotten spot in her tooth... u should step up ur game cause Pampers r expensive an with service like that ur child is bound to be running around butt naked cause its momma couldnt keep her attitude in check to get her $$ right! That is all!! One of the only reviews Ive written but I had to share this!!

I tried their nuclear burger(cheese, chili, pineapple, lettuce, tomato, onions and Mao) and it was delicious. The burger was messy so, beware if you dont like a burger that drips. The chili was very good, and the combination of flavors left me coming back for more. I seriously couldnt put this burger down. I also had two sides, fries and Mac n cheese. The fries where nicely cooked and not overly seasoned (some salt might be needed) the Mac n cheese was good, but unevenly mixed so you wound up with spots with lots of cheese and spots that were just plain noodles. The sever was very good at refilling the drinks at the table, but wasnt to intrusive. He made us feel welcome, without circling us like a lost puppy. I loved the paper towel rolls they had on the table, made it nice and convenient to get napkins without the clunky napkin dispenser/destruction devices that many other places have. This was a great experience and I would recommend this place to friend!

ME AND MY FRIENDS WENT TO GALAXY DINNER AND HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. FIRST THEY TOOK FOREVER TO SEAT US AS IF THEY DID NOT SEE US STANDING AT THE DOOR THEN THE WAITRESS CAME TO THE TABLE DID NOT GREET US AND DEMANDED WE ORDER OUR DRINKS VERY IMPATIENTLY. SO I ASKED FOR ANOTHER WAITER SHE ASKED WHY AND I SAID YOU HAVE AN ATTITUDE AND I DONT WANT YOU TOUCHING MY FOOD SHE SAID SHE WAS THE ONLY WAITER AND STORMED OFF THE MANAGER COMES BACK AND SAYS THAT SHE DOES NOT HAVE AN ATTITUDE AND THAT WE CAN LEAVE IF THERE IS A PROBLEM. WORDS WERE EXCHANGED AND HE THREATENED TO CALL THE COPS. HE DIDNT ASK WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS HE JUST THREW US OUT. ME AND MY GIRL WOULD GO THERE ALL THE TIME AND NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM WHICH IS WHAT SHOCKED ME. SO IF YOU ARE OF THE DARKER COMPLEXTION THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE SPOT FOR YOU

our first visit here.. The place actually looks like an old style diner, narrow and long with booths and stools at a counter.. its easy to miss the entrance but dont!!! my wife had the turkey sandwich and I had one of the hamburgers.. you get two sides with each order we had green beans macaroni and cheese and tater tots.. The food was wonderful prepared correctly presented well, in a reasonable amount of time... The waiter was very nice and looked after us... The prices were absolutely reasonable and probably one the best values I found in Richmond... it is Carytown so parking can be a problem, and there is limited seating .. The Decour is not fancy but it is perfect for the type of place it is we will be back!!!

Always great food at a great price. Our server, although we forgot to get his name,was friendly and helpful and very nice. Me and my daughter were there today, July 30 around 1130 or so, we sat across from the kitchen. (Hope that helps id our server),he was very nice. Usually we have to wait for a seat,not because of being overlooked, but because its busy. Today it was full, but we were greated with a smile and sat. Thank you Galaxy for always providing great food,great prices and fantastic service !!!!!!!! Blair and Elizabeth.

A nice place for a filling late night munch. I love the atmosphere and the extensive menu has never let me down. Unfortunately, the times Ive been by the wait staff have been the damper on the meal. A lot of them are total gems, but my last waiter left us sitting at our table waiting on our dessert malts for 45 minutes while I saw him standing near the back drinking and on his phone. When he returned, he had completely forgotten that we had ordered them at all. Other than that, though, a pretty solid restaurant choice.

Galaxy Diner is one of my familys favorite Carytown venues. The cosmic-themed menu includes a variety of appetizers, salads, breakfast foods, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, sides, and desserts. The kids menu is diverse and fun. Malts, shakes, floats and sundaes are offered at the soda fountain, and the bar has a good selection of beer and liquor. Galaxy Diners full-service offerings and 11 a.m. - 2 a.m. hours make it a great choice for date night or brunch before a matinee at the Byrd with the kids.

Only visited 2pm -4pm, many times, best hamberger joint on Cary, bar fills quickly after 4 pm, yet light croud mid day, Im sure its loud at night, not fine dinning lol, excellent cooks got out of their way, good menu, faster service than expected. Cost is normal for urban quick food resturant. Parking is easy if you know where the parking deck is. Nothing unexpected, normal good food for normal good folk.

Whenever we come downtown, we go to Galaxy. Period. Unbeatable food and service. You are treated respectfully and you can relax here. There is definitely that feel that in the 90s, groups of badass college kids hung out here. It makes you feel as badass as they must have been. The portions are worth the price; you will wind up taking food home and believe me you will want it later. A Carytown landmark.

My husband and I LOVE this place. We have been visiting here for 3 years and it is definitely one of my favorite restaurants ever. The staff is super friendly, the atmosphere is really neat, and the food is amazing. They have lots of options for everyone. Meat enthusiasts, vegetarians, vegans, gluten free. You name it. And their milkshakes are amazing! Literally everything on their menu is to die for.
