I worked as a cook here for 2 years and I can say the back area is filthy we had a roach problem that we complained about that has since been bung down to a minimal also we would have meal worms constantly pop up in the pancake and waffle batter that we were not aloud to throw "good" batter away but cook it. I left after i got offered a better job else were making twice as much. Im not sure if all ihop chains are like this But this is what i witness at Newburgh ihop on 17K

IHOP has a place in our food chain near the top when all you want is breakfast at any time of the day. Although they have a lunch and dinner menu, I have only eaten breakfast here, and often. The food is always delicious, they have a lot of choices other than pancakes and the prices are reasonable. My kids have eaten from the lunch menu and they always enjoy that. Coming back from a show at night and hungry? Have breakfast and you can sleep in the next day.

I placed an order for pick up and repeated the order several times. The young lady repeated it back to me and when I got there they still got it wrong. This is so frustrating! It took them nearly 10 minutes to print me out a receipt to see the breakdown of my order. Not one of my favorite places. On a whole some workers lack training, leadership, and professionalism. They need to stay focus on the job and not socializing with coworkers. Your at work.

The service is mediocre and the food is not good at all. Ive been in a few times and each time I try something that requires even less effort than the last. This time I ordered a BLT because I didnt think it would be possible for that to be bad. But it was. The "toast" tasted weird and the tomatoes were.bad. I really dont recommend it, their prices are way too high for the overall poor quality.

This is one of the best IHOPs I have been to. Of course it was immaculate and perfect when they just opened last year. However, since then the quality of food has been consistently good and the decor and interior have remained clean, pleasant , and enjoyable. I love the chicken crepe as a brunch item. Will deifintely return again.

Everything great just that I ordered eggs over medium and the white part of egg still a little runny and I like egg white to be cooked as a personal preference and I will make sure to tell waiter to make sure next time. But pumpkin spice pancakes were excellant!!! Have to have again.

Less start off that the wait time wasnt bad at all. 10 min wait time is great. Next the staff was warm and friendly. Food was good and prices were reasonable which is expected for this establishment. Overall great visit and Ill be back again!

"Kenneth" could slow down just a tad. We thought he just a little rude....asked us when ordering "what do you want" which took us back a bit. Otherwise the food was excellent, service was questionable. Were not sure wed return.

This place is a hit or miss. There are days where the food is DELICIOUS and then there are those days where the food is Mediocre at best... Different Chefs on different Days I guess.. But service is ALWAYS great!
