My wife and I showed up during happy hour (3-7pm weekdays) on a Tuesday and we were immeadiately seated. Our server, Lauren, greeted is within moments and told us about their amazing happy hour (half price drinks, appetizers, and sushi). We ordered the soft shell crab appetizer which was superb. Then we ordered four rolls of sushi (crunchy roll, shrimp crunch roll, collosial crunch roll, and the tiger eye roll), the miso soup, a house salad, and the Fukuda fried rice. We also order several wonderful large hot sakes for only $5 each! Everything was prepared perfectly. I was amazed by how tender the chicken was in the fried rice. My wife loved the fact that their drink menu listed the ingredients and prices with nothing left to hide! Overall our experience was one that left us with the sense that Fukuda Sushi Bar will now be a regular stop for us! We are so thanlful for our fantastic experience!

It felt great to be back in my old neighborhood. When my friends first suggested Fukuda for happy hour, I didnt realize that it was where I would come for a nice bento box lunch and a couple of large Sapporos. Well, it was happy hour and a bento box was not in my thoughts. I ordered the seaweed salad, Nama sake maki, salmon sushi Spicy salmon roll, Spider roll, soft shell crab, cucumber, sprouts, and sesame. I was able to sample, Wasabi shu mai, steamed wasabi flavor pork dumpling, Fried oyster It was all awesome! Im old school and ordered a large hot sake. My friends were raving about the flavored sake, lychee sake but I was not interested especially when it was served in a small tokuri, absolute deal breaker. I had a great time and perbaps Ill return for a bento box before leaving town.

Fukuda is not the best sushi restaurant in the world but it is far superior to anything else on the north side of Houston. The fish is fresh, the menu varied, the wait staff are pleasant, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with if you are looking for something different. (Ask for Akio, Hana, Linda who have been there for a long time.) It is one of the few places you can consistently get uni and abalone and things other than salmon and tuna. The prices are reasonable and we always go for their happy hour specials. Their shrimp tempura is amongst the best ever eaten. Order it. We eat here at least once a week just to get our wasabi and gari fix.

We used to love this place a lot! Always order their Chirashi Don. It always tasted good and the size was big with a lot different types of sashimi. However, their new spicy Chirashi Don we tried last time was a rip-off ! Not just the size was probably only half of regular one, most were small chunk of tuna and salmon. It only had a little bit white fish. Compared to the regular Chirashi Don, the price is the same but the quality is not even comparable!!! Spent a lot money on this Spicy Chirashi Don but get a quality of much cheaper one like tuna/salmon don.

This is the best spot for sushi north of the Houston metro area. They have a variety of other entrees, but I would say that the sushi is the wisest choice. Great choice of specialty rolls if you like it cooked, I recommend the cajun roll, but there are more dressed up rolls. I usually get the simple things like a sea urchin and quail egg with sesame seeds on top.

AMAZING Happy Hour Deals. Food was just superb, and the service was relatively quick. My waitress did speak very little English but all the other waitress seemed fine. The crab puffs were the only thing that threw me off, really no dough to them, just a ball of fried cream cheese, with like a sheet of philo dough around it. Most definitely going back.

First time here, horrible experience. Walked in,sat down, waited 15-20 mins no service. They didnt even take our drink orders. When we talked to the manager, her excuse was " the hostess for got to write you down and that was followed by all the servers were in the kitchen eating. " This place is so unprofessional. Never wasting my time here again.

Nice place, BUT While I dined at the sushi bar tonight, I noticed one of the Sushi chef working WITHOUT Gloves and constantly rubbing his hands on his bar towel, Yes he was plating the food and touching the raw fish. He was wearing a Houston Astro hat and seemed to be in charge of the Sushi bar. Food was good but I do not think I will return.

Im pretty sure Fukuda is the same owners as Kyoto from several years ago and Im ok with that. The restaurant and menu look the same and the happy hour specials are pretty good (although not as cheap as you could get in the city.) The rolls are good sized portions and full of flavor. Im not sure that Id order pieces here:/

Sushi Happy Hour is phenomenal! The rolls are consistently great. I had the Ninja Turtle Roll with mango, avocado and salmon. The sweet mango and smooth avocado complimented each other so well. However getting the bill is the best part! The prices were so affordable. I left with my tastebuds satisfied and wallet happy.

First time visit to this restaurant. Had reservations for 2 @ 7:00 on a Friday night - arrived early and we were promptly seated and served. The food at Fukudas was ridiculously good and off the chart FRESH - some of the best sushi weve ever had- and we eat sushi frequently! We would highly recommend this restaurant!

Not impressed with the sushi. I understand that food tastes better in the dark, but when I cant even see my food? Thats a problem. Staff was standoffish. They were only willing to help if needed as in if there isnt any water left. I think I will try my luck elsewhere when I visit the woodlands again.

Nice ambiance. Fresh and tasty sushi. Salmon rice is a meal in itself. Clean. Efficient server whom was extremely pleasant. Quiet. Everyone kept their conversations contained to their area. No one on their cell phones. Wow! Extremely pleasant all around.

Was very pleased on my second visit. The first time was a disappointment but they more than made up for it. I sat at the bar and asked Brian to make me a roll with halibut and jalapenos. Gave him total creative freedom. It was amazing. I will be back.

I really like the food, but the staff never know what the special is despite it being advertised on a board near the entrance. Seems like the chef just makes it up on the spot. Masa is the most authentic Japanese restaurant in the Woodlands though.

Fukuda is the best sushi place I have been to in the woodlands. Happy hour is a great deal. I can eat like a king for $20. Sit at the sushi bar. The guys working it are great. They will get on the wait staff if they notice your drink getting low.

This is the only Japanese restaurant in the Woodlands area that offers authenticity on its food. Everything is delicious on the menu and the happy hour deals are unbeatable. All the staff are super welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!

The food is AMAZING! First time here so the front desk lady went over the menu with me so I can have a better glance at what they had to offer. My waitress was not nagging but not avoiding me either. I would definitely come back again!
