Stumbled across this restaurant while driving down the road looking for some place 5 finicky eaters could agree on. After spotting and suggesting Wakyoto, all 5 of us hangrily grunted approval. Being in a strip mall, we were all a little skeptical. Once being seated, the excellent wait staff and calming ambiance soothed our hangry selves. Once the food arrived, we were impressed with the presentation and blown away by the taste. The food was so good, that we returned a couple days later for dinner. We visited Branson for a week, and Wakyoto is a highlight of the trip, right up there with Moses, Dixie Stampede, and Silver Dollar City. The sushi is delicious- fresh, tasty, and no smell. Hands down the best Japanese restaurant Ive eaten at. The staff is incredibly friendly, food is delicious- we will be returning to Branson and will be visiting Wakyoto again!

I visited this restaurant on 4/10/09 and sat alone at the sushi bar. It took a full fifteen minutes for me to even be recognized by the staff, another ten to get a menu, and another twenty minutes to get my miso soup. I ordered the dinner bento box with tuna roll and teriyaki chicken, but only after people who had been seated long after I arrived had given the chef their order. The end pieces of the sushi roll contained almost no rice. The teriyaki chicken had cabbage strips and other strips of vegetables that were unrecognizable included and overcooked, as was the chicken. It was a major feat to get a glass of water! When I was ready to leave, I again had to wait to receive my bill. I was throroughly disgusted with this restaurant by the time I left, and will never visit there again. Service is terrible, food is not much better.

ordered sushi to go for the millionth time.. but this time they wanted to charge me extra for spicy mayo and eel sauce.. i asked how much.. she said 40cents i was like whatever just bring me some.. so she did.. and then said.. 1.79$ .. i was like.. you said .40cents..? she said i gave you large size.. it was a freaking condiment cup like any other restaurant would gladly give you for free.. !!! so i said fine.. heres 2$.. spend it wisely.. cause i wont be back... !! its that kind of penny pinching commerce that ruins businesses.. and turns off clients.. wish i knew a good.. "american " sushi place lol.. tired of interloping condescending tyranical foreign shopkeepers..

You MUST try the Krunch roll... very good! Spicy crab roll, salmon roll, and pretty much everything is excellent. Have been to Wasabi about 4 times and been very pleased each time. To get filled up you have to spend around $10-$15 which seems to be typical at a Sushi bar. Service and timing of food placement was pleasant. Planning a business meeting here next week. The other review on here seems odd to me that this person waited that long for their food when the Sushi (maker guys) are standing right there on the other side of the bar. Hmm, oh well. This place is right across the street from the old Branson Wal-Mart right on the strip.

Yummy Yummy!!! I have to admit that we were initially turned off by the terrible pop music mix blaring from the loud speakers, but we were pleasantly surprised by the friendly service and delicious food! We have eaten sushi around the globe and this little restaurant in Branson is among the best weve been to for sushi! What a treat! We had the lunch box and the tuna lovers roll and absolutely loved every bit! Wish we lived closer because this is a place we would frequent often. Loved it!

Were originally from Dallas and werent expecting much as far as quality sushi in small town Missouri, however we were pleasantly surprised when we found Wasabi. The waitress we had was wonderful and all of her recommendations were fantastic! There was a little bit of a wait, but well worth it. Our favorite was the Bling Bling. We went up to Springfield and tried Harunos and a few others, but I have to say, Wasabi was by far better quality! Glad you guys are here, keep it up!

Visiting Branson and looking for a SUSHI restaurant. Found this close to our hotel and NOT disappointed! Some excellent sushi! Fantastic service! Friendly Staff! And the prices shocked us. We love sushi and eat it frequently and are always aware we will pay for it. But we fed 6 people for under $100. We have never done that with sushi ever. Next time Im in Branson we will be back!

Im Japanese and I love everything I ordered there. The Sushi was great, so as other foods. We didnt know we entered there 20 minutes before they close, as soon as we found out about that, we were going leave, because we didnt want to be that kind of customer. But the staff ask us to stay. We love the service over there, we will go back to enjoy great meals!

I went there with family for the first time tonight and it was amazing. The food was great from the teriyaki chicken, to the sushi. The restaurant was very clean and had nice Japanese decor as well. The waitress was beyond friendly and helpful and made the whole experience perfect. Ill definitely be returning.

Located in a strip mall but dont let that fool you. The food is delicious and authentic and the service is out of sight. The Japanese waitress is chatty and fun. She is helpful and pleasant. I had the dinner box, hot tea and split 2 sushi rolls with the table and my bill was $40. Very reasonable.

I have never had real sushi until the other night at Wasabi. The food was AMAZING! That term doesnt even describe how good it was. We also didnt know what we were really ordering but the waitress was really awesome and helpful. So so happy with our experience I cant wait to go again!

Ate here 3 years ago. Love the "awesome lobster roll" cant find anything similar at any other sushi places. We now find ourselves using Wahoo/wasabi as an excuse to drive four hours to stay in branson. No shows, no parks, no tours, just a few nights stay and several meals at wakyoto.

The door sign is a bit confusing because it shows a different name. Dont worry, go on in and have a nice meal. Theyve got the usual assortment youll find in the Big City, prepared well with some nice personal touches. Also some good specialty rolls.

This was our first visit here and we were very happy with our experience. The restaurant is clean, has a great atmosphere, great food, and great service. The price is comparable to similar restaurants we have been to. We highly recommend Wakyoto.

Best sushi I have ever had. Waitress was extremely pleasant and helpful. Price was under 50 dollars for two full meals. Perfect for a night out with the girls or the first date and you dont want to break the bank. Definitely a repeat restaurant.

Food is good. Rolls are good. Not quite as good as Shogun Steak and Sushi (next to Tsunami Bar) on Hwy 165, but still a great little sushi place. Not fond of the banana dessert that comes with the meal.
