Dining at this IHOP is like a trip through time, because youll feel like your meal "took days"! The lack of attention and hospitality is only matched by the embarrassingly unattractive presentation of the food, which tastes like it was intended for the person at the table before you. Imagine if a 5 year-old child made you with breakfast, but forgot they were doing it until twenty minutes after they finished cooking, then bright it out to you anyway. That would describe the taste and presentation of the food, which you can except when your child does it, because its sweet and cute. However when a national chain does it on one of their two "money days" (Saturday), then over-charges you for it, you feel like youre on a Hidden Camera Show because "nobody would expect money for this, right?". WRONG! I would say our server had a terrible memory, but that would imply that there was a memory at all. "So write it down," you say. Well that would ONLY fix this lapse if you can read your own writing, but she couldnt! So "tortilla" became "toast", "sunny side up" became "scrambled"... We never saw a manager, and much like our server, we will never come back!!!

Ive only been to this Ihop so far twice in the past two days, the first time yesterday, the waiter was very nice and very friendly. The place was quiet and the tables were completely clean. The food was served almost as fast as we ordered it. The waiter was an amazing waiter, never had to wait for anything. The food was delicious and just like Ihop served. No mistakes, nothing. It deserves five stars for the first visit. Today, I went this morning and the waiter was a different waiter, but was more professional than friendly. Nonetheless they were both very professional, the second one was just not as happy and outgoing. The food took about fifteen to twenty minutes so definitely not fast, but the food was delicious and there were no mistakes. The place was still as clean as the day before and was still as quiet as the day before especially for ten AM on Stone Oak. It was a great two experiences. The place definitely deserves five stars! I dont know about the old last reviews, but my experience was top notch and I recommend giving it a second try.

First, we have a gift certificate or we would have walked out. The table was sticky and dirty. When I moved the syrup I almost threw up in my mouth because it seemed like they just wiped all the food particles under the syrup tray. I decided to run my timer to see when the food or server would come 28 minutes later our food was served...cold. Forgot our pancakes, coffee and pancakes, my wife and sister in law just sent back their food as I am writing this review because it was cold. Our server was training someone and blamed the lack of service on the trainee...says a lot about their leadership and training ability. If the person you are training is horrible that the fault of the trainer, not trainee. I would highly suggest you not come here. Go to Egg and I which is right down the street. We went there a couple days ago and the food was hit, service was great.

This was THE worst experience my husband and I have ever had in a restaurant!!! They were short staffed to start off, waitress was informing customers (in a rude way) that they were short staffed and had only one server, that they were going to wait long so they could stay or go. No customer service whatsoever! As we waited for our food (we decided to take our chance on this) , the order was completely wrong . Waitress was flustered and had all her orders wrong we came to find out. We let her know this was the worst service and we were not going to pay for something that we did not order and walked out. Others followed behind us as they were also complaining. Dont go to Stone Oak area IHOP!! Very disappointed!

I wait 45 minutes to get any food. When I do get my my food its completely the wrong order. Send the food back and guess what? I wait another 30+ minutes to get my correct order. By this time everyone has already finished their food at my table and Im the only one eating. How awful. The wait staff likes to blame the kitchen. They should also be checking the order before bringing them out. How embarrassing. The waiter wasnt apologetic and never once came to give me an update or apologize for the 30+ minutes it took to correct an issue. This particular IHOP is a horrible representation of all the other ones in the area. Drive the extra 2 miles and go to another one.

Very poor service. Arrived and placed order right away. After 45 minutes still had not received our food. Was told 5 times "the kitchen is behind". Asked for a manager 2 times at the table and the manager NEVER came. Went to front counter to express our dissatisfaction and AGAIN asked for the manager. After the hostess went to the back, she returned to advise that the manager could not come to the front. We asked for the managers name and phone # and was told her name was RUTH. Asked for her full name and phone # and was told they "didnt know her last name?" No excuse for poor customer service. Next stop "regional and corporate complaint!!"

We live half a mile from this IHOP and havent been there in a while because service and food has historically been poor, but my daughter was craving Swedish Crepes so I gave in. I am so glad we went!! Service was great, restaurant was clean and food came out perfect. Joshua, the new manager, even took her crepes back to the kitchen when he noticed it did not have the powdered sugar as the finishing touch. I ordered the burger and fries; bun was toasted perfectly, veggies were super fresh and patty was cooked perfectly. Fries were crispy and not fried in old grease. Keep up the good work Joshua! We will definitely be going back!

If you like waiting at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged in an empty restaurant and then another 10-15 to be asked your drink order only to get them another 10 minutes later then this is the place you want to go! Food is extremely inconsistent and almost always cold and the staff is TERRIBLE. There is maybe 1 quality waitress in that entire place. Probably some of the worst service Ive ever had, long wait, and servers almost always get the order wrong or forget something. Given this place a chance 8+ times) and opinion has not changed. Save yourself the trouble and go to Jims right up the road on 1604 and blanco.

This location is smaller than your average IHOP, but makes it more cosy. The staff seem to be rather inexperienced with very inconsistent service...never horrible, but not great visit to visit. Most the food issues were related to cold food. Otherwise staff is friendly and the restaurant is clean. Service isnt always the fastest, so plan at least 1.5 hours for your average visit. We return every month or so. Anything more frequent would require a consistently good experience with every visit.
