I got the impression while dining that Chef Arriola has bigger plans than a simple soup and sandwich shop. The entire restaurant gave indications that it desired to be something more: the menu features a daily plate special that is a far cry from soup or salad. The market aspect - featuring a handful of gourmet food items and across a couple of racks that serve more to direct traffic than anything else - too, seemed out of place. The bulk of the menu consisted of sandwiches, and I opted for an Ahi tuna salad. The sandwich was not unlike a typical tuna salad, but the big, fresh chunks of tuna made it above average. The fresh ciabatta roll was nice, too, though I was perplexed at the observation that there appeared to be marks from a panini press on the top of the roll, yet it was cold. I thought the menu items only came with the sandwich, so I grabbed a bag of chips to go with the meal, only to find that the sandwich came with a small amount of freshly-made chips. While always better than the bagged kind, these appeared as if they were roasted or grilled BEFORE they were fried, which was an interesting take, but didnt really make it any better than a typical freshly-made chip. Still very good. While the sandwich was better than average, I got the impression that the better menu items are in the pasta salads or the daily specials, and hopefully, Chef Arriola will open a restaurant that will be better able to accompany everything he wants to do. Until then, SoGo is a too-big-for-its-britches sandwich shop that makes some above-average product.

Im about to move back to the area and I cant wait to go to this place again. The owners are super nice, and the Korean food is FANTASTIC. We always came back for the Korean cuisine 2-3 times a week. Between the good food and a super sweet owner who always was suggesting something new to broaden our horizons, I really cant say enough good things about this place. I cant wait to move back, and this place is HIGH on my list of places to visit soon after I arrive. Kamsahamnida!!!

The food is good but I would only gave them two stars because after being open for more than 9 months they still dont have their liquor license and the service is incredibly bad. The service has been so consistently bad I might not be going back even though the sushi is great. Expect long waits and items that you ordered to be forgotten. It often takes more than 15 min to get my miso soup before the meal. Seriously? Just scoop it out into a bowl and walk it over.

Had a sake bomb, miso soup, chicken katsu, yellowtail and seared tuna nigiri, and the Sushi Express roll... oh and Oreo tempura! Everything was spot on-delicious fresh food/sushi- very fast service (also friendly! Jack was wonderful!) We have ordered delivery before but it is definetly worth stopping in to eat to really enjoy such yummy food fresh from the kitchen! Sushi Express roll is our new favorite by the way a must try!

Best Korean food in a 15 mile radius. I felt like the prices are a bit high but after looking at other similar restaurants they are good especially for the area. I love going for the house Sake and sashimi. Their sashimi is some of the best I have had in the price range and I feel is worth more, so in my mind it is a bargain. The owner is a really nice family man and the atmosphere is nice and cozy.

The restaurant was nicely decorated, clean & open. The waitress whose name I cannot spell was friendly & attentive she made the experience a plus by being knowledgeable & accommodating for special request (I am allergic to shellfish). The prices are affordable & the wait time is not long even with them making everything fresh to order. They definitely earned the my repeat business.

My husband and I just dined here last night. My husband was here a couple weeks ago and was so impressed he had to bring me to show me. Brand new and relaxing atmosphere, cordial staff and excellent and well presented sushi! Despite the name, this sushi restaurant is tastefully decorated and the only thing "express" about it is the price. Loved it and definitely returning!

This place is unreal!!! The sushi is fresh and d-lish!!! There are sushi restaurants in our area, but my hubby and I gladly make the hour commute to Sushi Express because it is so good. The owner is such a great guy.....very personable....and available to greet you and make you feel welcomed. If you are into sushi, you really have to try this place.

The sushi here is always good every visit. Prices are what youd expect from a sushi place. They also have a Korean menu which I have yet to order from but I hear is also good. Typically my go to sushi place while in Stone Oak. 10/10 would choose this place over a certain "zushi" chain again.

Not only is the food excellent, here the service is above and beyond. Its not pricey either. Sometimes after your meal the chef brings u a complementary dish or Asian tea, which also ends up being really good. If ur looking for good service and inexpensive shushi, this is the place

Zomg, so good. Didnt go to the actual location since I used the Caviar app, but my Mushroom Cheesesteak with provolone, beef, and hot peppers add-on ($10) was insanely yummy, albeit a bit messy. 7" worked on just fine for me. Would order again if Im in the area.

This place gets 5 stars from me for being one of the few locations I can find the same Soju I used to enjoy in South Korea when I was there. The food is delicious and I have not found a better place to get Taek Boki since I have been back to the states!!!!

Ever since I moved to San Antonio, I have had trouble finding a place with authentic sushi, but this one is great. Their service was fast and helpful, the food was delicious (I highly recommend the Fiesta Roll), and the dining environment was beautiful.

Who knew that a restaurant named Sushi Express would have the best Korean food?!? The bibimbap is super flavorful and filling. I always ask for mild and hot sauce to doctor it to my preferred spice level. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Great food, great price, great service. We love dining in at Sushi Express. We love the sushi, Korean items, tempura and green tea ice cream with pie! Please note that early ratings are from previous restaurant, so the rating should be higher!

Great food, good deal. Got Sashimi + Sushi, enough to make me uncomfotably full for 17 + tip because of their lunch specials. Everything was amazing and the staff was very attentive and friendly, definitely coming back with family next time.
