First of all, I can imagine that if I had come earlier in the day, the brisket and sausage may not have been as dry as it was. However, there are plenty of bbq restaurants that have found a way to prevent their previously smoked meats from drying out. The cole slaw is not the traditional slaw that you may have come to expect from a bbq joint. The slaw itself seemed fresh, however the dressing used makes it a hit or miss depending on your preference. I think it was a kind of poppy seed dressing. For me it was a miss. The borracho beans were delicious, topped with fresh pico. The creamed corn seemed simple enough, but my family devoured the pint and left my children asking for more. The ribs were tender, but lacked flavor. The chicken we are just bringing home for the dog. I think overall the smoked meats could have been better. It tasted as if they were smoked using live firewood instead of commonly used seasoned firewood. Its a little hard for me to leave this review because everything was cooked well - the brisket had a deep smoke ring, the ribs and chicken were falling off the bone - but the flavor profile wasnt there and the smoke flavor was that of live firewood. If this place wasnt out of my way, I would probably give it another shot at a time when the meat was fresh off of the smoker. Another reason for my 2 star review is that bbq is expensive and whenever I drop $60 for my wife, 2 toddlers and I to eat lunch, you expect your meal to be spot-on. The added expense purchasing bbq not only goes towards the higher cost of the protein and the process of cooking it, but the price should also reflect in the flavor of the product. For us, this was not the case.

Well. The food was good. BUT. The owner disrupted our meal to tell us a story of how he served in the military at Heartbreak Ridge (1951). He was maybe 60 YOA but I suppose Ill give him the benefit of the doubt. He was trying to sell this glorified story to a military member myself.... this story was all built up with his service and life experiences only to accuse us of not flushing a toilet which clogged in a bathroom telling us how unacceptable it was for us to be so rude. None of which is relevant to him having to flush a toilet in HIS restaurant which we did not cause. He continuously argued with us pretty much ruining our meal. I approached him afterwards to apologize for his inconvenience and to express my opinion on not preemptively accusing someone and he again was too stubborn to accept guilt and apologize. Long story short, never going back there haha.

Ive had a lot of BBQ. Growing up in Tennessee, its hard to find a place to suit my BBQ needs! I have always known TX to be a BBQ capitol, so I was really excited when I stumbled upon Browns. I ordered the ribs. The meat was falling off the bone, soooo soft! Delicious! The smoked flavor was so good that I didnt even need the sauce! Although, just to taste it, I dipped a few bites in the spicy bbq sauce. Also amazing. You must have the pickles! We took our food to go, but the ambiance of the restaurant is nice. Quiet and relaxed. The backyard has a playground for kids. Clean. And wonderful staff. We tried a few other bbq places while in Texas and this one topped them all! Will be back on our next trip.

We got the Big Brown Meal for our family and had plenty of leftovers to take home for lunch the next day. All the meat in the meal was excellent. We had chicken, ribs, brisket, and sausage. We chose baked beans, green beans, and cream corn as our sides. I especially liked the corn. Our three-year-old normally wont touch green beans but shocked us by saying how yummy they were and devouring more than the required one beans. Service was friendly and helpful. Our kids also loved the playground. There were so many play options on it. It is definitely worth visiting Bracken to go to Brown B Que.

5 stars from Taiwan! Visited the place by chance and fell for it immediately! 溫馨乾淨的鄉村風店面,店員人也很友善,食物除了香腸有點鹹其他都很棒!尤其口味不重,點的triple meat每種分量也都剛剛好,搭配sides完全吃不膩,有機會一定會再去!

After spending the day at the caverns we wanted to top off the day with some barbecue. We searched maps and found Brown B Que. Im so glad we went here. You can smell the wood smoke in the air when you pull in; the whole area says barbecue. The food was fantastic; our party had a good variety of everything, and it was all very good. The owner, Kenneth, even took time to talk barbecue with our table and is a great guy. He and his wife have put together an awesome place with great views in the Texas hill country.

This place is definitely worth the drive! My family and I were invited out a few weeks ago to join my mom for bbq in San Antonio. Since we live in Austin, I told her that it must be VERY good if we were going to drive that far! Well...it was! Now, we are ready to make another trip. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, there was free wifi, and lemonade that my son named the best hed had. If you are looking for great bbq and sides, check this place out!

Smells good from the road but actually the WORST bbq Ive ever had. Stopped in for my aunts birthday but we left shortly after getting the food. DO NOT get their potato salad, way too much strong seasonings! Bbq sauce is also very strong with seasonings and has an odd flavor.. Plus my sons chicken thigh wasnt fully cooked. Wish we would have requested our money back but we didnt, just went to a different restaurant instead..

Brown runs an awesome little spot. The BBQ is always good, and the daily lunch specials are always great, especially the Brisket tacos on Wednesday. Ribs are great, & they do beef ribs , smoked bologna, and turkey legs occasionally. When I have wanted something off menu, Brown has always accommodated with a day or two notice. The sides are all home made and Brown-B-Que has the BEST boracho beans Ive ever had.

We had brisket, ribs, sausage, green beans, cream corn, mac and cheese, onions and peppers on the side with an ice tea. None of it was over seasoned or over smoked. It seemed spot on. Good food. Definitely we will be returning. Might be our new "our place" we will see if it is this good next time. Nice decor, play area out back for the kids. One of the few times I have given 5 stars. Thanks.
