Dont forget your parka... it was SO cold in this restaurant that my eyeballs were drying up, my nose was numb and I was using their napkins as extra cover. I was miserable (as a young, healthy woman dressed in conservative dress clothes), can you imagine how my 80-something year old grandparents felt? HORRIBLE. Totally ruins the experience when you are so cold that you are nauseous. Seriously, insane. The temperature outside is a comfortable 80° and as you walk inside it feels like youve stepped into a cooler. Food and service was fine, I just wont be going back to Mi Cocina because that was truly a miserable experience. This will be a new family joke about how Mi Cocina is trying to freeze us to death. We have been home for 30-some minutes now and we are now all huddled around with blankets trying to warm ourselves back up. This is truly unbelievable.

I just want to say hats off to Mi Cocina in Rockwall!! One of the best experiences we have ever had dining out. The Mi Cocina Changa was amazing! The jalapeno margaritas were fantastic and the service was top notch! A special thanks to our server Robert who timed everything to the "T." Also, I big thank you to Thurman Bell for keeping an eye on us and making sure that everything was in order. What a great experience! I highly recommend Mi Cocina Rockwall to anyone looking for a romantic atmosphere with 5 star food, drinks, and service. Thanks again.

First time at this place. It was highly recommended by coworkers. The atmosphere and decor was not what youd expect from a Mexican food restaurant. It was nice not having the typical bright colors, Mexican flags, sombreros, and obnoxiously loud music. The staff were super friendly and very courteous and helpful. The FOOD WAS AMAZING and the price was very reasonable. I can easily see myself making the hour and half drive just to eat here again and again.

Great food, good atmosphere (unless you get sat by the kitchen). Great place for friends, families or a date. Love the gluten free and allergen free choices; this is one of my safe food places. Too long of a wait on weekend nights unless you go really early, but the margaritas and ceviche are worth it if youre not in a hurry.

Food quality at his restaurant has gone down over the last 3 years or so. We waited for over an hour to be seated. I ordered fish tacos (they used to be good); but that was a mistake. they were terrible! I observed the orders of people on my table and they did not look good nor did they taste good. Service was good, though.

Compared to other Mi Cocina restaurants, this one falls short. Our waitress was inattentive, did not run our food, and didnt check on our table enough to realize the food was cold when it got to us. I typically enjoy Mi Cocina, but if you want the service and food youd expect at West village, youll be disappointed.

This place used to be fantastic. Have been going since they opened. However, they changed their menu, their restaurant is now ran by kids other than the floor manager and overall the experience is not the same. The food quality has declined immensely and they dropped a lot of really great menu items.

Wonderful food. Service is okay. The servers all look like they are in high school which is probably why. We had the brisket tacos, nachos, quesadillas, an enchilada plate and beef crunchy tacos. The enchiladas are just okay but everything else was fantastic. We will go again and again.

Waited an hour and was told 3 times they were sorry for the delay. When I finally got my food it was colder than a Siberian prison. Spoke to Manager... Carlos. He could care less. The food quality and service at this place is in the toilet. Its a joke. I will not be coming back.

If you like more onions than meat in your food, this is the place for you. This is the 2nd location Ive eaten at the last few months and I assume more onions is the norm for Mi Cocina. I really wanted to like this place, because from the outside looking in, it looks fabulous.

This is TexMex done right. The fresh avocado dip was exceptional. I had the sour cream enchiladas and they are the best I have had in a very long time. The service was quick and our waiter was amazing and was able to accommodate my wifes dietary restrictions.

First few times going there was great! Went there today and the place smelled different, the floors and windows werent cleaned recently, and we walked out after seeing a Roach by our table. Very disappointed with that experience.

Wonderful, friendly service in a pleasant atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive and the food was delicious. We celebrated our 46th anniversary here. My husband chose to eat there for the food and the Jalapeño Margarita!

Ive never had anything on the menu I didnt like, but my husbands grandmother ordered an entree that was too spicy. The staff happily switched out her entree at no additional charge. Great food and great service.

Great food! This is one of my families favorite places in Rockwall. The staff keep the chip basket and salsa bowels full. The bar makes a tasty margarita. The brisket tacos are wonderful.

Chicken in enchiladas was dry. Tortilla was hard/rubbery. The ground beef was extremely greasy. Service was okay, had to ask for drink refill. Probably wont come back.
