My girlfriends family has been going here for years. They know almost everyone who works here and the owner. I visited this restaurant directly after hurricane Harvey came through. The restaurant was packed. We were seated immediately. Food was good as usual. There is a man that works there, mostly seating people and checking people out at the register. I believe he is the son of the man that runs the place. Very cocky alpha male attitude. We were finishing up our meal and had not received a refill on our drinks in quite some time. The waitress waiting on us is well known to deliver food to you and not come back. So I proceeded to the register to ask for a to go box and a refill. I knew before I approached the guy who runs the register , he would probably have an issue with that. Me and my family were about ready to leave and wanted to go drinks and to go box so we could get home. After I walked away from the register, I could here the guy mocking me for asking. He was polite when he brought out items we requested. When I went to leave and pay my check he got extremely irate and started trying to make me feel guilty for even asking him for the to go boxes and drinks. He spent the next several minutes belittling me in front of several customers waiting to be seated . I eventually had to tell him just to charge me so I can leave. Worst restaurant experience I have ever had. I understand bad service. Even after a weather event like Harvey flooded many nearby residences and businesses. I understand they were really busy. But treating anyone in that manner is uncalled for. I wont be taking my business here anymore. Its a shame because my girlfriend nearly begs me to pick up late Casita anytime I am driving through Porter. We have on many occasions had our entire family come into this restaurant.

Ive been here numerous times and have always loved the way Ive been treated as a customer, but today I went and upon leaving I asked if I was being charged for grilled onions and I was disrespected by the owner in front of my family and Co worker. He stated "no but I paid for them did you"?? Well no I didnt but dang you dont have to be rude about it! Like onions cost alot I know the prices arent high but I know for 2 tortillas and some ground meat didnt breat your bank! Lost my business I should not be treated like that when all I did was ask a question!!! Feel bad for the hard working ladies that have to deal with someone rude as the owner, hope he dont treat them the way he treated me!

Impressed. No alcohol as of 02/19/2015 or they would have 5 stars.Mexican Restaurant w/o beer? Food was good, service was exemplary! Ate lunch. Not crowded. The waitress had chips on table, and drink orders in hand within 30sec of being seated. Our fajitas were on the table within 10 min of sitting down. Waitress asked to refill our drinks before they were half empty every time, and checked on our satisfaction after a few bites into our meal. Left us alone otherwise. Will be back!

I normally go here. The last time my husband, dad and I went, the ground beef enchiladas tasted burnt and the Carne guisada just tasted off. I informed my waitress she said she would talk to the manager. I waited for her to get back and she never came back. So I went to check out and talked to the manager he said everything was fine. He acted like insulted his food. And claim to be right. I will never eat here again. The owner has a bad attitude and sucks.

So its not a 5star 50$/plate restaurant, BUT, for a down the road local spot, its GREAT. Its comfortable, looks clean, is very prompt and attentive with service. They brought 3 different salas to start and we had 3 to go boxes of food to bring home so variety and portion size are great. Will go back soon, maybe every week for date night!

Once the staff gets to know you, they treat you like family every time. Servers get to know your favorite menu items. Consistently good chips and flavorful salsas. Meals are prepared quickly with care to make each plate special looking. Strong management with total focus on superior customer service.

This place is more of a tex-mex restaurant instead of Mexican restaurant. Refried Beans taste Like there out of a can. And every platter they serve has cheese on the food. Prices are a bit high! their menu does not have many variety of food.

Good Good Good - - margarita are a little high - 9.95 - -that is more than the average dinner, but still the best in the area for a neighborhood restaurant. Service is always on point. Cant go wrong with the Roys Special. Love it !!!!

I absolutely love this place. Hands down my favorite Mexican food restaurant. The smaller, independent nature of the restaurant makes you feel at home. Staff is wonderful and will remember you if youre a repeat customer.

The service is good and the food is ok. Dont like the fact I can get free chips and salsa all day but have to pay for tortillas.... Make sure to look over your bill, you may get charged for stuff included in your meal!
