Im so glad I found this bakery ! I ordered my baby shower cake from here && I could of sworn it was a replica of my baby bump && body... It was a hot pink && zebra baby bump with boobs && a little foot kicking the stomach... IT WAS AMAZING... I ordered the Cuban cake with guava filling, which everyone doubted me how good it was && took it as a crazy pregnancy craving... Yet they all wanted 2nd piece of it... The only thing I would have changed is leaving the cakes moisture the way Its suppose to be... Its suppose to be a wet cake && I asked them to make it less wet, which wasnt bad, but i should have never changed perfection... I also just ordered my god daughters bday from there as well. It was a hello kitty chocolate strawberry shortcake which was so good too... && it had a pearly shiny finish... Everyone has been complementing the cakes I get... So I will always get my cakes here :) && their empanadas are so good && their potato beef balls as well

Amazing Cakes and Food..... We used to buy LOTS of desserts and other stuff here and there from another Cuban bakery..... I had heard of Merengue a while back and finally visited a few months ago for lunch and dessert......SOLD..... its sooo yummy that this is our NEW Bakery ... you are in and out, no looooooong waits, Great Attitude, great food at a great price .....a win win. They CUSTOM DESIGNED my daughters 15th bday (beach theme) and my sisters baby shower (sports theme) cakes. Ive referred friends to them, and have been soo pleased that theyve also made it their new bakery :) Everyone always compliments our cakes design, taste and moisture from the Chocolate to Red Velvet to Dulce de Leche to Cubano layers, they were all Great..... If it takes more than reading reviews to be convinced, do what I did, go for lunch and that should be all you need ...

I was in charge of an event and had to figure out how to feed 200 people. My friend suggested Merengue Bakery and I decided to check it out. They have a mouth-watering selection of cuban baked goods, sandwiches, and desserts. I couldnt decide what to get because I wanted everything! After consulting their friendly staff, I decided to go with the beef and cheese papa rellenas, pastel de carne, argentinian emapanadas, steak sandwich platter, and their famous cuban favorite selection of desserts. The price they quoted was very reasonable and significantly less than what I budgeted. They took note of all the special requests I made, the delivery was on time, the service was exceptional, and all of my guests loved the food! Definitely recommend using Merengue Bakery for your next catering event! Very reliable and friendly!

They have the best quesitos (cheese rolls) Ive ever had outside of the Caribbean. Ill pop in for a cortadito & a pastry while running errands, or for a lunch of pan con lechon any day. Their cakes are truly outstanding. There is not one thing in that bakery displace case that I wouldnt gladly take home. For my birthday this year, my brother surprised me with the chocolate mousse and tiramisu cakes. I hosted a party of around 30 adults and the cakes were not only a hit, but pretty too. We made a good dent in it, but Im glad I got to take a little bit home!

I hate to say this. Ive been a customer since the old location on Colorado. I recently went to the new location and ordered the cheese potato balls, Im vegetarian, and when my husband and I were served the cashiers decided to switch my order to the meat filled ones and did not tell us. I took a bite and was highly disappointed. When I asked the cashier about it, all she said was that they had run out of the cheese filled. I explained that notice would be good as I am also allergic to beef. She apologized but did nothing to make it right.

They made a wonderful bee themed cake for my little ones first birthday. I was a little hesitant about ordering because their catalog did not showcase the best photos but decided to get it after I taste tested the Cuban flavored pastry. They far exceeded all my expectations! The cake was much bigger than what it was supposed to be, it looked better than what was originally planned and tasted absolutely delicious! Thank you for making the perfect cake!

I placed an order a week ago and by the time that I was supposed to pick it up the cake it wasnt ready they had to deliver the cake at my nephews house and guess what!! The writing was smashed.This Cookie Monster cake, I purchased was a gift to my nephews son. How embarrassing to have delivered a damaged cake. I guess I will buy future cakes somewhere else, where they may be happy to do business with me. NO GRADE FROM ME ZERO STARS

The breakfast is amazing here! However, they are very slow sometimes. I stopped in a few times on my break and was late going back to work since it took them forever to actually start cooking my food. Not sure why as I was the only one in there at the time. I have since learned to call my order ahead to avoid any delays. Best breakfast burrito Ive ever had!

I went at 7:AM in the morning to pickup some pastries and potato balls for my co-workers. The staff was very friendly, my order was prepared quickly, and I enjoyed a cortadito while I waited. Im looking forward to coming back and enjoying the outdoor seating for lunch.

Other than Portos nothing like it around, this New location is so much open and inviting.. I love Cuban pastries and sandwhiches, I wont deny ports is a little better but not much and with out long lines and price is he same... come here I highly recommend it

Went to a party that had this food there. I liked everything that I tried except the chicken empanadas. They didnt taste very fresh and there was barely any filling. However, what little filling there was, was great. Overall great food.

Its more of a bakery than a eatery. They dont specialize in foods, just desserts. Sandwiches were good, soup was okay. Cakes were amazing. The cuban cake slice has guava in it. Moist and good balance of frosting and cake.

I hate to say to compare them to Portos but seems to be the standard. Merengue is up to par and or exceed on some items. I feel the Cuban crackers and Media Noches are better than Portos.
