Had the worst experience at Masala Wok recently....My friends and I went thr a few days ago and they were pathetic...firstly the guy at the counter gave a stupid reasoning for not accepting a certain coupon (issued by themselves), that it was "9.40" p.m...and they donot accept any coupons after 9.40 p.m!!! ...and btw the coupon did not mention a specific time or anything....It was not the first time we went there after 9.30 p.m!...To top it the guy at the counter was plain rude to one of my lady friends!...On telling him that he was being rude he was still being ignorant and rude!.....Also he said that in case we wanted to order anything we would have to take-out and the coupon was still not valid on the take-out!...(before 10p.m!) when the kitchen was still open and there were already 10-12 ppl dining-in/ordering! This kind of behaviour is totally not accepted!! I strongly believe that the manager/owner of this place should take notice of this...and most importantly ACT on it! I strongly recommend to AVOID this place!!!

The quality of food has really gone downhill since the beginning of the year (since March?). You get less food than you used to, which sucks because they are a bit pricier than the other Indian places in the area. The nan used to be huge and fluffy, and today it was tiny and flat. It seems to me that a lot of the recipes were changed too, the lamb curry alone has changed like 3 times since January, being different colors/taste/consistency each time Ive ordered it. The Mango Lassi is pitifully small for the price. Considering all of that, I am not ordering from here anymore. The Mumtaz buffet is right down the road at Campbell and 75 and you can eat at their buffet with better food and pay less for it than any of the Masala Wok entrees. They also have carryout/nonbuffet food that blows Masala Wok out of the water in taste, price, and quantity.

HORRIBLE ASIAN FOOD THAT I EVER HAD. We ordered Hakka Noodles&ras malai, Thai pepper fried rice&samosa at Masala wok,Richardson,Tx. The hakka noodles and Thai pepper fried rice were horrible. I never had such a terrible Asian (Thai) food in US. The tofu in both main course was very dry and flavorless. Not to mention the noodles were mushy and tasteless. The Thai pepper fried rice was a nightmare. It had a strange smell. I think they might have used the spoiled cooked rice. The broccoli in the fried rice was even worst. It was spoiled, flavorless and dry. We had to throw both the hakkaa noodles and Thai pepper fried rice in trash. The only good was the samosa and ras malai. We had to just satisfy with these two for dinner tonight.

The Tikka Masala curry is very bland, absolutely no flavor. I had to add salt to make the meal edible. The rice was undercooked, dry, and hard. How can an Indo-Chinese restaurant screw up rice??? I didnt even realize this was possible. The naan was too flat, too hard, and it was dry and chewy. It tasted like it had been made at least two days ago. I dont think its too much to ask that an Indian restaurant serve fresh baked naan. The Korma curry had a nice flavor, but it was very greasy, and red in color. I thought Korma was supposed to be a tannish yellow color? The prices are good, but I wont be coming back here. Food tasted bad and not fresh.

Worst customer experience ever!!!! My wife ordered to go , rice noodle and a soup. She brought it home from work. Food was extremely spicy, it seems they have spread the red chillie on the top of the food. When she specifically said mild. When we called back to complained about our order, the manager, "hyme" or " jyme" with a spanish accent stated rudelythat, " we dont care about the customers like you, do it what ever you want" and he hanged up. I cant beleive this, this is thw first time ever, a manager of a store have talked to us like that. Totally rediculious and stupid. Never going over there again!!!!!

I thought of giving this place a try after a friend recommended it. The place is crowded on the weekday which was surprising!!! I ordered paneer tikka masala and Naan and tell you the truth curry was sweeeeeet and wish I gave instructions to make it spicy. The biggest let down was curry seamed to be not hot / warm enough. It was sort of how you take a curry out of refrigerator, put it in microwave and take it out. It did have some steam but when you actually eat it you realize you need to heat up some more. It was not at all warm and same problem with Naan.

HORRIBLE FOOD. NEVER GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO THROW MONEY IN GARBAGE CAN. These people do not even take orders correctly. I will not recommend any of my friend this junk, stupid restaurant. Ordered spicy biryani got mild. When called they told me that bring from 20 miles to add chilly sauce in it. Stupid people do not know that I can add chilly sauce myself but it spoils the original taste. HATE IT SO MUCH. SO ANNOYED. Do not go there. Please support those restaurant who have good customer service and good quality and not JUNK RATED!!!!

I have edited my glowing review because of the severe decline in food quality and lack of decent customer service over the past year. The last three times I ordered, my order has been incorrect/missing items. Manager took back his offer for free meals for the multiple errors and called me a liar. Then my rewards account disappeared...poof no more stars. Tried to give them 2nd chance to make it right & was refused. For the price, this food should be amazing and it used to be, but no longer is.

The food was very good but at this particular location...there is a lot of raw sewage leakage somewhere coming from the back where the bathrooms are. I wanted to leave but my friend was too hungry to go elsewhere and it was late. It kind of spoiled the experience to be smelling a ton of fecal matter while eating! It is probably not the fault of Masala Wok but they need to get the building owner to fix this ASAP.

Nice Indian restaurant in richardson area and popular among the student community of UTD. The place serves tasty indian food and indo-chinese food items. The chicken entrees are delicious. Panner and chicken tikka, chicken curry and vindaloo are good too. Garlic naan with some extra garlic will make your food enjoyable. They serve snacks in the evening and you can enjoy nice hot Samos and a cup of Chai ☕️

Bad bad food. I have been too other locations of Masala Wok and they are great. But food at this location tastes like cafeteria food rather than professional restaurant food. Few times the food gave me stomach ache, and sometimes the food was so bland that there was barely even salt in it. There are many other Indian restaurants in the area, which has good quality food and fresher ingredients.

It may not be the most authentic Indian place, but the food is tasty and comes in decent portions for the price. Features American-ized versions of popular Indian dishes like tikka masala and chicken 65. Also has miscellaneous Asian dishes like kung pao chicken and Mongolian beef. Popular with local Indian families and college students from nearby UTD. Does not deliver.
