Let me begin this review by saying that this was one of my favorite places for 3 years. The food was very flavorful, the iced tea is the best anywhere, and the staff and service are great. It seems that they opened a 2nd location several months back, and the food quality has gone down some. The place looks like a dive, but the food had always been so good it was easy to overlook the dark, drab, slightly unclean look, and just write it off to being an old building. My first problem with this place was a small, dead, german cockroach folded into my napkin. If you have been here, you know the napkins are placed in the glasses. I loved this place so much that i just quietly took the napkin to the owner and explained my findings. He apologized, and told me the exterminators had come the night before and it must have gotten in there while trying to evade the insecticide. My final visit to there was last saturday, 5/21/2011. I was eating the chicken tikka masala and some naan bread. I was talking to my wife, and I saw her facial expression change in a way that could not have been related to what I said. I asked her what was wrong, and she pointed to my plate. Under the orange tomato cream sauce, next to a piece of chicken, lied a whole cockroach. This time it was not on my empty plate, or in my unused glass. This thing had been cooked into the food that we were all eating. How do you not notice this as a cook? The only thing I can think of is that it fell in from the ceiling or something. I felt a bit nauseous, but I maintained composure for my wife and the other patrons. I took the plate to the wife of the owner, who fills in now that her husband runs the new location( I assume, I havent seen him there lately). She was so freaked out she wouldnt even take my plate from me. I sat it on her cash register, and explained why we were leaving, and why we could not come back. she kindly told me I didnt have to pay, I thanked her and walked away. She asked me if she could have a word with me in private, and produced a terminix receipt to show that they have scheduled treatments. I really, really want to like this place, but I just cant put it back on my list. Some things are just too disgusting. When you prepare food for a buffet, it is just too much quantity to be able to control the environment. If you go here, avoid the buffet, and look closely at what you eat.

Oops.. There is no zero rating..!! NEVER VISIT AGAIN. RECOMMEND ALL MY FRIENDS TO CONSCIOUSLY AVOID THIS PLACE EVEN YOU ARE DAMN HUNGRY. Worst ever Indian Restaurant, I visited in Dallas. Im used to try different Indian restaurants every weekend and visited this place with lots of expectations (in the tongue). GOOD STUFF first, Plates & dishes were clean. Waiter was responsive. BAD STUFFs now (sorry for too many points, but thats my real bitter experience) I understand it is a family owned place, but still they dont even meet basic restaurant qualities. When entered, Owner was not so welcoming, instead he wanted us to close the door quickly, real quick, as like we wanted to jump to the table directly from the road. Next, is the Dirty, really dirty tables & restrooms..!! He wanted my little one keep starring at table for all 30 mins without opening his mouth even for yawning, till the time he took to mix the canned foods & frozen meats. Menu was far too expensive for the dish quality & the quantity. TANDOORI CHICKEN - They said as sizzlers, but it was too much fried that no chicken piece is soft and everything is blackened. Real Indian Tandoori lover will throw back this chicken on Chef who cooked it. Chicken pieces in SHAJAHANI BIRIYANI had real stingy smell and chewy. Smell like very old & not even frozen properly. LAMB ROGAN JOSH - Gravy was not hot all and they added canned tomatoes & water to it to make up the colorful dish. I could really see water floating on top of gravy. Lamb pieces were very average without any juicy spices in it. My family is totally annoyed seeing the check with gratuity of 15% for only 5 people. Owner is not even good enough to explain the reason and really interested in grabbing the cash from us. I FIND NO INDIANS HAVE RATED GOOD FOR THIS PLACE, as they know the real Indian Flavor. Overall : Too expensive for not-worthy food. Not a good place for real Indian food lovers. NEVER VISIT AGAIN. RECOMMEND ALL MY FRIENDS TO CONSCIOUSLY AVOID THIS PLACE EVEN WHEN YOU ARE DAMN HUNGRY.

Im laughing at the negative reviews here. Ive eaten at Kebab N Kurry for 20+ years, my dad ate here as a bachelor, and my husband and I had our first date here. It is truly a family Indian restaurant, and the family always knows exactly what I want, even when I call for take-out! The chicken tikka masala is my favorite, and the gulab jamun for dessert is perfection. Mix a little madras soup with a little tikka masala sauce, and its heaven! My extended family loves to visit because they know we will be "Kabbabin" every Sunday. Sadly, my immediate family has all moved out of the Dallas area, but we still crave this particular brand of Indian food every first day of the week. I plan my visits to Dallas around open hours so I can bring home some long distance take-out. Its my experience that every Indian place is different, and my husband and I havent found anything that compares yet. All of the food at Kebab is cooked fresh, and so it DOES vary from day to day. If you found too many potatoes in the masala one day, come back another! Its just part of the experience. IMHO, buffet is best, so I prefer to go at lunch. Cooking the dishes in smaller dinner batches changes the taste a bit. This place has several dedicated customers. Also, check out their fancy extension in Addison - India West! (Had my reseat sail dinner at this location run by the familys son.)

Not at all Kid friendly, I was really surprised they do not have any kind of kids menu or any coloring sheets, colors to keep the little ones engaged. I went there with my two kids 4.5 yrs and 20 months. If the order is taking 20- 30 mins from the time you are seated in the restaurant, you can not expect kids especially 20 month old to keep sitting quietly. I had the Lady of the restaurant coming to me twice telling my 20 month old to be quiet because others are getting disturbed. I was really surprised at her behavior because that is a small sq feet area and even i could hear what people sitting at the other end were talking about, but that is understood right? I am not complaining nor anybody else is complaining but this lady had issues with my little one making any kind of noise. Lets come to the food - very average, nothing great especially, chicken tikka masala, I could distinctively smell and taste the canned tomatoes. Garlic Naan was good but the tandoori roti was very hard to chew. Dal Makhani was average too. If you are planning to go there make sure you leave you Little ones home and carry pickle for some Indian taste and spice!
